Recently, the emergent concept of green supply chain has received increasing attention. Although popular among scholars, many literature reviews have only examined GSC from a general point of view or focused on a specific issue related to GSC. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the influence and productivity of research on GSC from 1995 to 2017 by reporting trends among authors, countries and institutions based on a bibliometric approach. To this end, the study analyzes around 1900 papers on GSC. This study uses the Web of Science Core Collection database to analyze the bibliometric data and the visualization of similarities viewer method to graphically map those data. The graphical analysis uses bibliographic coupling, co-citation, co-authorship and co-occurrence of keywords.

In an increasingly competitive world driven by fast changes, companies are challenged to pursue sustainable development through innovation. This matter has led to the discussion about how organizations manage to innovate in a way that they meet the demands of sustainability. Recently, researchers have identified the integration of management systems (IMS) as a potential practice to support both innovation and sustainability. This research aims to contribute to this field by exploring the relationship between IMS and sustainable innovation. European and Latin-American countries are included to contribute to the still scarce empirical evidence analyzing developed and less developed countries. Results suggest that IMS provides the managerial support to foster the adoption of cleaner production technologies. (...)

Openness and management systems integration: pursuing innovation benefits

  • Hernández-Vivanco, Alfonso
  • Cruz Cázares, Claudio
  • Bernardo Vilamitjana, Mercè
In a global and highly competitive environment, innovation is becoming riskier and costlier. Against this backdrop, firms are challenged to allocate their innovation resources efficiently to obtain the most benefits. To this end, integration of management systems and open innovation are internally- and externally-oriented managerial practices, respectively, that may foster innovation efficiency. However, they have been scarcely researched jointly. Based on longitudinal analyses of 220 Spanish firms, this study concludes that integrating management systems could foster innovation efficiency. Conversely, open innovation might hinder it. It is also evidenced that innovation efficiency is relevant to boost the sales productivity of new products.

  • Madrigal-Moreno, Salvador
  • Arroyo Cañada, Francisco Javier
  • Gil Lafuente, Jaime

  • Yepes i Baldó, Montserrat
  • Romeo Delgado, Marina

Job satisfaction. The case of information technology (IT) professionals in Spain

  • Crespi Vallbona, Montserrat
  • Mascarilla i Miró, Oscar
Employee dissatisfaction has a lot of impact on organizations: turnover, absenteeism, job stress, sick leave, humiliation, burnout, unproductiveness, and lack of commitment. Furthermore, the dissatisfaction of individuals has a direct effect on the profitability and quality of the product or service provided. The presence of unfair treatment among workers, the absence of training plans, the lack of recognition and incentives, the mismatch of tasks and functions among staff, different wages within the same employee categories, the disinterest in employees' health benefits, etc. yield labor environments without personal and organizational well-being. Therefore, there is no doubt that companies have to pay attention to employee satisfaction. (...)

Motivation and attachment to a diving destination: the case of Medes Islands (Catalonia, Spain)

  • Palau i Saumell, Ramon
  • Forgas-Coll, Santiago
  • Sánchez García, Javier
  • Prats, Lluís
Motivations and place attachment constructs have been previously used as antecedents of behavioral intentions regarding a destination. Nevertheless, previous studies investigating behavioral intention models have paid little attention to the influence of motivations on place attachment and the influence of place attachment on behavioral intentions within the same structural model. This article develops an integrated model to investigate these relationships. Data were collected from recreational scuba divers in Catalonia, Spain. The results suggest that personal escape and personal seeking are the main motivations, and these factors influence place dependence and place identity. Other findings indicate that place dependence influences behavioral intentions more than place identity. In addition, the level of involvement in the activity moderates the links between constructs in some of the relationships.
