[ES] Se exponen políticas existentes para el intercambio de datos y se señalan algunos de los trabajos de colaboración puestos en marcha. Se incide en cuestiones ya conocidas, como la influencia de los incentivos ¿positivos o negativos¿ acadé-micos y de los organismos de financiación para abrir datos, y cómo han contribuido a que se extienda la colaboración en áreas en las que hasta el momento era escasa.

Numerical analysis of the 2D C5G7 MOX benchmark using PL equations and a nodal collocation method

[EN] A classical discretization for the angular dependence of the neutron transport equation is based on a truncated spherical harmonics expansion. The resulting system of equations are the PL equations. We review the multi-dimensional P-L equations, for arbitrary odd order L, and then we proceed to the spatial discretization of these equations, for rectangular geometries, using a nodal collocation method based on the expansion of the spatial dependence of the fields in terms of orthonormal Legendre polynomials. The validity of the method to deal with complex reactor problems is then studied with the seven group 2D NEA C5G7 MOX fuel assembly benchmark problem. The solution is computed for different spatial meshes, showing that the PL results are consistent with the reference Monte Carlo solution. Additionally, the first subcritical modes are also computed for the full reactor configuration. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. Co-processing of lignocellulosic biocrude with petroleum gas oils

[EN] A biocrude was obtained via the catalytic hydrothermal treatment of lignocellulosic biomass. This was further co-hydroprocessed with Straight Run Gas Oil (SRGO) under desulphurization conditions. Amounts of biocrude of up to 20 wt% could be co-processed, while maintaining a diesel stream density within the specifications contained in the road diesel regulation EN 590. The changes in the diesel properties associated with an increasing amount of biocrude were not a simple linear function of biocrude content. Rather, some positive correlations seem to exist between biocrude and SRGO at low biocrude contents, possibly due to intramolecular hydrogen transfer, yielding a diesel stream with a better quality than would be obtained from simply mixing hydrotreated pure streams in a 80% to 20% ratio., The authors thank Licella for providing the Biocrude and financial support. [EN] We begin with a discussion about indicators related to a productivity model that can be used to analyze the four years a government is in power. Next, we use visual analysis to review economic information using a prototype portal, indicaME (acronym of ¿economic model indicators¿). [ES] Estado de la cuestión sobre métodos científicos utilizados contra el fraude financiero, principalmente de tipo técnico (informáticos, económicos, matemáticos). Aunque algunas de las áreas científicas involucradas no están relacionadas con la tecnología -por ejemplo, la sociología-, es importante insistir en que todas ellas proporcionan herramientas útiles para detectar el fraude. La detección y prevención del fraude financiero es una tarea multidisciplinar, por lo que la solución a este problema de urgente actualidad deberán aportarla equipos multidisciplinares., [EN] State of the art scientific methods can be used against financial fraud, mainly of a technical nature (computer, economic, mathematical). Although some of the scientific areas involved are not related to technology, such as sociology, it is important that all disciplines provide useful tools to detect fraud. The detection and prevention of financial fraud is a multidisciplinary task, so the solution to this urgent problem needs to be provided by multidisciplinary teams.

Convolution-continuous bilinear operators acting on Hilbert spaces of integrable functions

[EN] We study bilinear operators acting on a product of Hilbert spaces of integrable functions¿zero-valued for couples of functions whose convolution equals zero¿that we call convolution-continuous bilinear maps. We prove a factorization theorem for them, showing that they factor through ¿1. We also present some applications for the case when the range space has some relevant properties, such as the Orlicz or Schur properties. We prove that ¿1 is the only Banach space for which there is a norming bilinear map which equals zero exactly in those couples of functions whose convolution is zero. Improving the estimation of prognosis for glioblastoma patients by MR based hemodynamic tissue signatures

[EN] Advanced MRI and molecular markers have been raised as crucial to improve prognostic models for patients having glioblastoma (GBM) lesions. In particular, different MR perfusion based markers describing vascular intrapatient heterogeneity have been correlated with tumor aggressiveness, and represent key information to understand tumor resistance against effective therapies of these neoplasms. Recently, hemodynamic tissue signature (HTS) markers based on MR perfusion images have been demonstrated to be useful for describing the heterogeneity of GBM at the voxel level, as well as demonstrating significant correlations with the patient's overall survival. In this work, we analyze the abilities of these markers to improve the conventional prognostic models based on clinical, morphological, and demographic features. Our results, in both the regression and classification tests, show that inclusion of the HTS markers improves the reliability of prognostic models. Hydrogenation of CO2 on Nickel-Iron Nanoparticles Under Sunlight Irradiation

[EN] Nickel-iron oxide nanoparticles were prepared by a simple mixed oxalate precursor decomposition method and used as catalysts for the sunlight-promoted CO2 hydrogenation reaction. The composition of the NiyFe1-yOx materials was designed to cover the entire Ni/Fe ratio range (y=1, 0.9, 0.75, 0.5, 0.25, 0.1, 0). Characterisation was undertaken by means of elemental analyses, X-ray diffraction and high resolution transmission electron microscopy. The pure nickel material (NiOx) contained crystalline NiO nanoparticles. Upon introducing lower proportions of iron in Ni9FeOx and Ni3FeOx, NiO was the only crystalline phase, along with increasing amounts of amorphous iron oxides. Higher iron contents resulted in the co-existence of NiO and -Fe2O3 domains at the nanoscale in NiFeOx, NiFe3Ox and NiFe9Ox, whereas the pure iron material (FeOx) was composed of -Fe2O3 as the only crystalline phase and a significant fraction of amorphous iron oxides. The hydrogenation of carbon dioxide was tested on the materials under simulated sunlight irradiation, and the activities and selectivities investigated as initial CO2 conversion rates and product distributions, respectively. The introduction of iron was beneficial for the activation of CO2, due to the known ability of this metal for promoting the reverse water-gas shift (rWGS) reaction. On the other hand, it was proven that nickel and iron favoured hydrogenation and chain growth processes, respectively. Moreover, the lack of hydrogenation sites in the pure iron material results in the expected preferential generation of olefins. Results for the entire compositional range draw a clear trend towards the enhanced formation of short-chain alkanes at middle iron contents, most likely owing to the existence of junctions between nickel and iron oxides at the nanoscale, and the related interfaces providing rWGS, chain growth and hydrogenation sites in close vicinity. The resulting hydrocarbon products, presumably produced by the efficient combination of thermal and photonic effects, can be considered as solar fuel replacements for natural gas and liquefied petroleum gases., Financial support from the Spanish Government-MINECO [Ministerio de Economia, Industria y Competitividad, Gobierno de Espana (ES)] through "Severo Ochoa" (SEV 2016-0683) is acknowledged. Benefits of a dance group intervention on institutionalized elder people: a Bayesian network approach

[EN] The present study aims to explore the effects of an adapted classical dance intervention on the psychological and functional status of institutionalized elder people using a Bayesian network. All participants were assessed at baseline and after the 9 weeks period of the intervention. Measures included balance and gait, psychological well-being, depression, and emotional distress. According to the Bayesian network obtained, the dance intervention increased the likelihood of presenting better psychological well-being, balance, and gait. Besides, it also decreased the probabilities of presenting emotional distress and depression. These findings demonstrate that dancing has functional and psychological benefits for institutionalized elder people. Moreover it highlights the importance of promoting serious leisure variety in the daily living of institutionalized elder adults., The second author was partially supported by Becas Santander de Prácticas en PYMES.
