DIFFERENTIAL TREE GROWTH EXPLAINED BY SNP LOCI AND CLIMATE IN A CIRCUM-MEDITERRANEAN PINE
- Lombardi, Erica
- Shestakova, Tatiana A.
- Santini, Filippo
- Resco de Dios, Víctor
- Voltas, Jordi
Understanding the genetic basis of adaptation and plasticity in trees constitutes a knowledge gap. In this study we analysed 20-year tree-ring series of 130 trees, structured in 23 populations grown in a common garden experiment. We tested for genotype by environment interactions (G×E) of indexed ring width (RWI) and indexed early to latewood ratios (ELI) using factorial regression analyses, that describes G×E as differential gene sensitivity to climate. The data include raw tree-ring series, indexed ring-width and early to latewood ratio series, 20 SNPs, climate variables at site, populations sensitivity to particular climate factors, and climate at origin of populations.

NEEDLES OF THE ARELATE TYPE IN THE CONTEXT OF HISPANIA
- Feugère, Michel
- Roig Pérez, Josep Francesc
[ENG] Inventory with 143 'arelate' type bronze needles discovered in archaeological sites, funerary necropolises, and port areas, among others. They come from countries such as Spain, France, Italy, or Portugal. The needles provide a rich variety of contexts, which can be analyzed to deduce the function of these objects. These contexts can be considered from a topographical and functional point of view, some of them also provide chronologies. The dataset includes a CSV file and images.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: ARE OLDER TEENS MORE FRUSTRATED THAN YOUNGER TEENS BY THE COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS? THE ROLE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL MATURITY, PERSONALITY TRAITS, DEPRESSION AND LIFE SATISFACTION
- Morales-Vives, Fabia
This dataset includes data from the published article " Are Older Teens More Frustrated than Younger Teens by the COVID-19 Restrictions? The Role of Psychological Maturity, Personality Traits, Depression and Life Satisfaction", published in the journal Current Psychology (https://doi.org/10.1007/s12144-023-04317-6). More especifically it includes data about 774 Spanish adolescents (60.9% women). The age range of the participants was 12 to 17 years. This sample was recruited online from April to May of 2021. The exclusion criteria for participating in this study were being under 12 years old or not providing informed consent. The data includes their ages, gender, and responses to the Psychological Maturity Assessment Scale (PSYMAS; Morales-Vives et al., 2012, 2013); Frustration associated with the pandemic (questionnaire developed ad-hoc for this study); Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS; Diener et al., 1985), and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI; Beck et al., 1961) questionnaires.

This dataset includes data from the published article " COmpliance with pandemic COmmands Scale (COCOS): The relationship between compliance with COVID-19 measures and sociodemographic and attitudinal variables", published in the journal Plos One (https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0262698). More especifically it includes data about 1410 individuals (59.2% women) who were resident in Spain. They were between 15 and 76 years old. This sample was recruited online from February to April 2021. The exclusion criteria for participating in this study were being under 15 years old, not resident in Spain, or not providing informed consent. The data includes their ages, gender, civil status, household incomes, if they have children, and responses to the COmpliance with pandemic COmmands Scale (COCOS questionnaire). It also includes data about the following issues: opinion about the usefulness of the preventive measures; feelings and opinions about the pandemic; health and vaccination; information channels, and optimism. OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE FOR THE ANALYSIS OF KINEMATICS AND DYNAMICS OF MACHINES USING THEIR LINKAGE EQUATIONS [SOFTWARE]
- Jerez-Mesa, Ramón
- Sánchez Rodríguez, Mateo
This open-source computational tool is designed for the simulation and analysis of planar linkage mechanisms. Aimed at students, educators and engineers, the software offers a flexible and intuitive environment for modeling mechanical systems. It features a custom domain-specific language for defining mechanisms through variables, equations, and structural data, and combines symbolic preprocessing with numerical solvers for kinematic and dynamic analysis. The tool includes an interactive graphical user interface (GUI) for real-time configuration and visualization. Validated through representative test cases, it delivers accurate results for position, velocity, acceleration, and force analysis. Entirely free of proprietary dependencies, the application serves as an accessible alternative to commercial simulation tools, promoting educational equity and supporting learning through visualization and experimentation.

ASSOCIATIONS BETWEEN GENETIC VARIANTS AND GENE EXPRESSION IN PORCINE BLOOD
- Jové-Juncà, Teodor

- Hernández-Banqué, Carles

- Quintanilla, Raquel
- Ballester, Maria
The transcriptome can be used as an intermediary phenotype in the search for biomarkers. In the present study we aimed to find associations between genomic variability and gene expression levels of porcine blood in order to evaluate their biomarker potential.
For this reason blood was collected from 255 commercial Durocs at age 60 days. Animals were genotiped using a GGP Porcine HD Array (Illumina) and imputed to whole genome sequencing level using the PigGTEx reference population. Blood RNA-seq was performed in order to obtain gene-expression levels.
Then expression Genome Wide Association Studies were performed between the resulting 8,499,177 variants and 14,642 expressed genes. Finding more than 23 million significant associations across 6,051 genes.
The results of this technique highlight several potential biomarkers of genetic determinsim of pig gene-expression levels in blood.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES FROM ESCHERICHIA COLI STRAINS OF THE GUT MICROBIOTA TRIGGER HEPATIC ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTI-LIPOGENIC EFFECTS VIA THE GUT-LIVER AXIS IN HEALTH NEONATAL RATS
- Baldoma, Laura
Experimental data related to the study analyzing the effects of extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from probiotic and commensal E. coli strains on liver function via the gut-liver axis. The study includes results from an in vivo model of neonatal rats and from HepG2 cells. In the in vivo model, neonatal rats received daily by oral gavage EVs from the probiotic EcN and the commensal EcoR12 from day 2 to day16 of life. Plasma and liver samples were collected on days 8 and 16 for analysis. The impact of the interventions on intestinal permeability was assessd by measuring plasma zonulin levels. The presence of EVs in the liver was confirmed by immunoblot detection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and outer membrane protein A (OmpA). The effects of adminstered EVs on liver function were evaluated by analyzing the expression of genes related to inflammation, oxidative stress, and lipid metabolism using RT-qPCR analysis . The modulatory effects observed in vivo were further validated in vitro by direct stimulation of HepG2 cells with EVs.
