The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of text messages as a replacement for routine postal reminders in a fecal immunochemical test (FIT) based colorectal cancer screening program in Catalonia. For that purpose, a randomized controlled trial was conducted. Study population: individuals aged 50 to 69 invited to screening who had not completed FIT within six weeks. The intervention group (n=12,167) received a text message reminder, and the control group (n=12,221) used the standard procedure (reminder letter). The primary outcome was a participation rate within 18 weeks of the invitation. The trial was discontinued, and a recovery strategy was implemented by sending a reminder letter to non-participant individuals from the intervention group. We performed a final analysis to determine the impact of the recovery strategy. Results: Interim analysis (n=7095) showed a lower participation rate among nonparticipants within six weeks in the text message group compared to the control group (16.4% vs. 20.9%, OR 0.71, 95% CI 0.63–0.81). A total of 7591 non-participants in the text message group received a second reminder by letter, reaching a participation rate of 23%. Final analysis (n=24,388) showed that the intervention group, which received two reminders, had higher participation than the control group (29.3% vs. 26.5%, OR 1.16, 95% CI 1.09–1.23). Our attempt to replace reminder letters with text messages was unsuccessful, but receiving two reminders significantly increased participation rates among non-participants within six weeks compared to one postal reminder. Additional research is essential to determine the best timing and frequency of reminders to boost participation without being intrusive in their choice of participation

Five patients with de novo SHANK3 variants, all of whom exhibited cardiac involvement, including myocardial dysfunction, congenital heart disease (patent ductus arteriosus), and a case of postictal atrial fibrillation. Our findings emphasize an elevated risk of cardiovascular abnormalities in patients with SHANK3 pathogenic variants.

Domus Ludens. The Domus Ludens Project has sought to promote play culture in residential centres to protect children in three European countries: Spain, Poland and Germany. the general objective of the Domus Ludens project has been to promote the "right to play" of children and youngsters (13-17 years old) living in residential centres by carrying out a pilot test of eight months of board game sessions per week, to assess whether regular, structured and professionally guided play has a positive impact on the "well-being" of this particularly vulnerable target group and to analyse what cognitive, emotional and social skills can be developed through regular play. The research technique used for the evaluation of the pilot was the survey, and the instruments were questionnaires with open-ended and closed-ended questions. These questionnaires were designed in English and then translated into the languages of each country (Catalan, Spanish, Polish and German). This dataset includes 1)The Questionnaire in english directed to youngsters (13-17 years old) living in residential centres 2)The Questionnaire in english directed to professionals working with those young people 3) The evaluation questionnaire for youngsters in residential care who have participated in play sessions but did not answer the pre-test questionnaire

REPLICATION DATA FOR MULTICENTER PROSPECTIVE CONTROLLED STUDY OF THE INTRACORPOREAL VERSUS EXTRACORPOREAL ANASTOMOSIS IN LAPAROSCOPIC RIGHT COLECTOMY FOR COLON CANCER. SHORT TERMES OUTCOMES (THE HEMI-D-TREND-STUDY)

  • Serra Aracil, Xavier
  • Pascua Solé, Mireia
The most serious complication of right hemicolectomy is anastomotic leak. At present, there is no standardized procedure for laparoscopic ileo-colic anastomosis. HEMI-D-TREND study is a prospective, controlled, nonrandomized TREND-study in order to assess the use of intracorporeal side-to-side ileo-colic laparoscopic anastomosis as the gold standard in right hemicolectomy. In this dataset are gathered the data that allow to explore this proposal

PLUS.WP5 PLATFORM COOPERATIVISM CONCEPTUALIZATION

  • Fuster Morell, Mayo

Language of the dataset: English, Catalan Abstract: This dataset frames the role of cooperatives as a potential alternative business model for the platform economy. It contains 11 semi-structured interviews to stakeholders engaged with platform cooperatives (Katuma, Smart and Fairbnb) about limits and strengths of economic performance in terms of growth, working conditions and redistribution of gains. The dataset is presented in three files. This dataset has been the previous steps to the testing of ‘Charter on Digital Worker Rights’ performed in the frame of PLUS project (supported by European Union Horizon 2020 Programme under the grant agreement number 822638) through unstructured interviews and co-creation sessions with the three project pilots: Katuma, Smart and Fairbnb. The dataset is composed by the following sheets: 01_Semi-structured interview script 02_Profiles_interviewed 03_Interviews_transcriptions Key words: platform cooperativism…
