Measurement of metabolic activity (MTT assay), cell cycle arrest, reactive oxygen species, expression of Nrf2 and NFkB proteins in nucleus and cytosol, expression of superoxide dismutase and lipooxygenase, activity of superoxide dismutase, phosphorilation of Jnk and p38 proteins, all in NB4 leukemia cell line subjected to treatments with esculetin or quercetin.
Esculetin and quercetin are compounds that could change the balance of redox homeostasis. Treatment of NB4 leukemia cells with quercetin or esculetin affected the distribution of pro-inflammatory NFkB p65 in the nucleus and cytosol. This could suggest formation of inhibitory p50 homodimers possibly related with anti-inflammatory response. Lipoxygenase and superoxide dismutase expression were also affected by esculetin and quercetin. All these data support a relevant differential role for NFkB and Nrf2 in antiinflammatory and redox response when apoptosis was induced by esculetin or quercetin in human leukemia NB4 cells.

A study using power-dependent photoluminescence measurements, which allows for a correction of the excitation density and also enables the direct determination of the free carrier fraction x. We focus on two families of Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites, spanning the full range of free carrier fractions vs excitons. Our approach provides a tool for probing the nature of optically excited states in semiconductors and for investigating spatial variations.
The full dataset consists of dataset:
Photoluminescence Time Resolved Power Dependent Measurements of a family of RP perovskite (n=1,2,3,4,5)
All the data is collected in different flakes of RP perovskites (n=1,2,3,4,5).The data acquisition was done using custom python code and the analysis is performed using custom python code which can be found in GitHub, https://github.com/phond-uam/Power_Dependent_Photoluminescence
Methodology:
For details about sample preparation and methodology consult the related publication.
Perovskite nanocrystal are prepared using two different cations with a hot solution synthesis approach.
The power dependent photoluminescence measurements are taken using the combination of a picoquant diode laser (LDH-DC-375) and TSCPC module (Picoharp 300). After the laser light is filtered using a single mode fiber the light is directed towards a home-built microscope using a Nikon CFI S Plan Fluor (60x, 0.7 NA) objective. The PL is then sent to an avalanche photodiode (MPD) controlled by the TSCPC module.
