VIDEO FROM: INTEGRATED WILDLIFE MONITORING, A PILOT TRIAL IN SPAIN

This study aims to report the implementation of the first nationwide pilot trial of balanced IWM in Europe, using a network of 11 pilot monitoring sites in Spain. The insights obtained in this pilot IWM trial will help to further develop a comprehensive IWM and serve as a reference for implementing IWM systems in other regions. For this purpose, a grid of 20 camera traps (Browning Strike Force HD ProX, Browning Arms Company®, Morgan, Utah, USA) was deployed for two months at each study site (n=11). REM was applied to wild boar (Sus scrofa), red deer (Cervus elaphus), and red fox (Vulpes vulpes) as the most frequently detected species. Relative abundance indexes, namely trapping rate and relative occupancy index, were calculated for the remaining, less frequently detected species. [Description of methods used for collection/generation of data] A hybrid assembly approach was employed, integrating PacBio long-read sequencing with Illumina short-read data, an extensive functional annotation of the genome is provided by using AUGUSTUS with InterProScan and Sma3s., [Methods for processing the data] Software MaSuRCA and HASLR. Also Transdecoder to predict candidate coding regions., The sequencing of non-model species has increased exponentially in recent years, largely due to the advent of novel sequencing technologies. In this study, we construct the reference genome of the Spanish toothcarp (Aphanius iberus (Valenciennes, 1846)), a renowned freshwater fish species. A hybrid assembly approach was employed, integrating PacBio long-read sequencing with Illumina short-read data. In addition to the assembly, an extensive functional annotation of the genome is provided by using AUGUSTUS, and two different approaches (InterProScan and Sma3s). Physic-chemical parameters, microbial counts data, free amino acids content and volatile compounds data., The impact of paprika and dextrose addition on the surface of dry cured loins was analysed attending to differences in microbiota composition and aroma profile. Three different types of loins containing either dextrose (D), paprika (P) or a mixture of dextrose and paprika (DP) were manufactured. FEROS SPECTRA FOR 3 GIANTS EXOPLANETS [DATASET]

We report the discovery and characterization of three giant exoplanets orbiting solar-analog stars, detected by the TESS space mission and confirmed through ground-based photometry and radial velocity measurements taken at La Silla observatory with FEROS. TOI-2373b is a warm Jupiter orbiting its host star every ~13.3days, and is one of the most massive known exoplanet with a precisely determined mass and radius around a star similar to the Sun, with an estimated mass of mp=9.3_-0.2_^+0.2^Mjup and a radius of rp=0.93_-0.2_^+0.2^Rjup. With a mean density of {rho}=14.4_-1.0_^+0.9^g/cm^3^, TOI-2373b is among the densest planets discovered so far. TOI-2416b orbits its host star on a moderately eccentric orbit with a period of ~8.3days and an eccentricity of e=0.32_-0.02_^+0.02^. TOI-2416 bis more massive than Jupiter with mp=3.0_-0.09_^+0.10^Mjup, however is significantly smaller with a radius of rp=0.88_-0.02_^+0.02^Rjup, leading to a high mean density of {rho}=5.4_-0.3_^+0.3^g/cm^3^. TOI-2524b is a warm Jupiter near the hot Jupiter transition region, orbiting its star every ~7.2days on a circular orbit. It is less massive than Jupiter with a mass of mp=0.64_-0.04_^+0.04^Mjup, and is consistent with an inflated radius of rp=1.00_-0.03_^+0.02^Rjup, leading to a low mean density of {rho}=0.79_-0.08_^+0.08^g/cm^3^. The newly discovered exoplanets TOI-2373b, TOI-2416b, and TOI-2524b have estimated equilibrium temperatures of 860_-10_^+10^K, 1080_-10_^+10^K, and 1100_-20_^+20^K, respectively, placing them in the sparsely populated transition zone between hot and warm Jupiters., FEROS is an echelle spectrograph mounted on the 2.2m MPG/ESO 34 telescope at ESO's La Silla Observatory, Chile. FEROS is a highly efficient spectrograph with a resolving power of R=48000, covering the visible wavelength range from ~350 to ~920nm.
