Subphthalocyanines (SubPcs) are aromatic chromophores with a bowlshaped structure and outstanding optoelectronic properties. The cavity formed by a C3-symmetry trispyridyl-SubPc, Pd(II)-metalloorganic capsule has proved an optimal, shape-complementary space for the complexation of C60. Taking advantage of the intense green light absorption of the SubPc components of the capsule, and their ability to transfer energy/electrons from the excited state, our group has recently described the unprecedented use of SubPc cages as molecular photoreactors to perform photoredox-triggered addition of diphenylamine radicals over encapsulated C60. Unfortunately, the reaction could only be performed using stoichiometric amounts of the cage due to inhibition of the SubPc cavity by the addition compound. Here, we describe the preparation of a more flexible SubPc cage built with a related C1-symmetry trispyridyl-SubPc (C1-SubPc-cage), which could facilitate the exchange between the complexed addition compound and pristine fullerene, thus allowing to use it in catalytic amounts. After assessing the ability of C1-SubPc-cage to host C60, the addition of α-aminoalkyl radicals in the presence of the cage under green light irradiation was tested. Curiously, optimisation of the reaction conditions (using catalytic amounts of C1-SubPc-cage in diluted solutions) rendered a different reaction outcome, that is, a cyclopropanated fullerene, in remarkably high yields.

AUTOGENIC MEDITATION TRAINING IN A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL: A FRAMEWORK FOR PROMOTING MENTAL HEALTH AND ATTENTION REGULATION IN CHILDREN

This research project aims to know the effectiveness of autogenic meditation training on selective and sustained attention, state and trait anxiety and a set of emotional and behavioral symptoms in a Spanish scholar population sample. DESIGN: Multi-arm randomized controlled trial through three parallel conditions: 1. Autogenic meditation training program: AMT; 2. Natural reading training program: NRT (active control); and 3. Waiting list (passive control). MEASURES: Selective and sustained attention (Tot and Con indexes respectively) assessed using the d2 test of attention (Brickenkamp, 1962) in its Spanish adapted version (Seisdedos, 2002; State anxiety and trait anxiety indexes assessed employing the state-trait anxiety inventory for children: STAIC (Spielberger, 1973)in its adapted version to the Spanish population (Seisdedos, 1990). Emotional symptoms (ES), behavioral problems (BP), hyperactivity–inattention (HI), peer relationship problems (PR), total difficulty index (DS) and prosocial behaviors (PB), assessed utilizing the Strengths and Difficulties questionnaire: SDQ (Goodman, 1997) for Spanish population (Gómez-Beneyto et al., 2013). HYPOTHESIS: 1) AMT, unlike NRT or passive control, will improve selective and sustained attention. 2) AMT, unlike NRT or passive control, will reduce state and trait anxiety. 3) AMT, unlike NRT or passive control, will minimize emotional symptoms, behavioral problems, hyperactivity-inattention, peer relationship problems and difficulty score, and promote prosocial behavior; and hence will provide a better profile or adjustment of mental health.
Files description
Detailed protocol of the procedure with each group. This protocol includes autogenic meditation program and the detailed account of the training workshop, and also natural reading program, and the detailed account of the training workshop.
Dataset. This dataset includes pre and post scores of the participants in the d2 test, in the state-trait anxiety inventory for children (STAIC), and the strengths and difficulties questionnaire (SDQ).
,Sampling Procedure
The scores of participants were obtained in two moments: pre (T1) and post (T2) and coded in Microsoft Excel 2011 for Mac version 14.4.8. All data are direct scores, except for TOT, CON, and DS indexes. The TOT Index in the d2 test is calculated with the formula [total answers-(commissions+omissions)]. The CON index in the d2 test is calculated with the formula (total hits -commissions). The Total Difficulty index (DS) in the SDQ is calculated using the sum of the emotional symptoms, behavioural problems, hyperactivity-inattention, and peer relationship problems scales.
