EXPERIMENTAL DATA ON DISCRIMINATION AGAINST CHINESE-ORIGIN RENTERS IN MADRID
- San Millán, Javier
- Gamundí, Antoni
This dataset contains the data of a correspondence testing experiment of rental housing discrimination against Chinese-origin candidates in Madrid (Spain), performed in the January-April 2021 period. 1600 landlords were contacted from two fictitious Whatsapp accounts simulating to be either a Caucasian, native rental candidate, or a Chinese-origin rental candidate. An experimental treatment of cultural proximity (so-called second generation) was also inserted into the correspondence testing. Information about the dataset is provided in the metadata file. The latest version also includes information about the share of Chinese people and COVID-19 cases per district in Madrid., Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional, Peer reviewed

LIST OF STANDARDS RELATED TO MICROPLASTICS
- Portela, Raquel
- Moraz, Angélique
- Crosset-Perrotin, Guillaume
- Alcolea-Rodríguez, Víctor
- Fairbrother, Howard
Comprehensive list of existing and under development standards related to microplastic and nanoplastic particles (MNPs). The main focus is on MNPs sampling and analysis protocols, mostly in water or from textiles, but some also cover the production of realistic samples. Some standards related to plastics in general are also included in the list, as they refer to terminology, symbols, abbreviations, etc. that are applicable to MNPs. MNPs definitions are included in ISO/TR 21960:2020.
Most of the documents are very recent and the number is increasing, so this is a copy of a living document and updated versions will be uploaded in the future. If you are aware of a standard document that is not included in the table or want to suggest a correction, please send us the information. Thank you!
For a list of commercially available MNPs, including some certified materials, which can be used as test or as reference materials, please refer to: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14969091
You may also be interested in the list of standards on weathering protocols for plastics compiled in the table S4 of https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jhazmat.2021.126955. These weathering protocols are generally not applicable to MNPs because of their size, but they may be applicable to the starting materials used for the production of MNP test and reference materials., European Commission

DATASET FOR "PRESSURE-INDUCED MECHANICAL INSTABILITIES IN CUBIC SIC: STRUCTURAL AND ELECTRONIC PROPERTIES"
- Herrero, Carlos P.
The abstrat of the associated paper is as follows:
Silicon carbide is widely used in electronics, ceramics, and renewable energy due to its exceptional hardness and resistance. In this study, we investigate the effects of hydrostatic and uniaxial pressure (both compressive and tensile) on the structural and electronic properties of 3C-SiC. Our analysis is based on atomistic molecular dynamics (MD) simulations using an efficient tight-binding Hamiltonian, whose accuracy is validated against density functional theory calculations. Moreover, to account for nuclear quantum effects, we employ path-integral MD simulations. Our results show significant changes in the direct electronic gap as a function of temperature and pressure, with a renormalization of about 80 meV due to zero-point motion. Under hydrostatic tensile pressure, the direct band gap E_Gamma vanishes at the material's mechanical stability limit (spinodal point, where the bulk modulus B -> 0). For uniaxial pressure,
we observe instabilities (Young's modulus Y -> 0) at approximately 90 GPa for both tension and compression, where E_Gamma -> 0. Additionally, we analyze the pressure dependence of the internal energy, lattice parameter, and bond length, along with their finite-temperature fluctuations, which exhibit anomalies near the instability points., Peer reviewed

AN ANALYSIS OF A SURVEY FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL SEEKERS ON TOR (N = 11,470)

We analyse the responses of users who searched for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on Tor web search engines. We analyse responses from all participants who answered our 'Help us to help you' survey from 5 May 2021 to 28 February 2023 (N = 11,470) and compare the tendencies and habits of people who searched for CSAM. The 'Help us to help you' survey consists of 32 questions, takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete, and participants receive no compensation.
We ask CSAM users about their thoughts, feelings, and actions related to their use of CSAM so that we can build a cognitive behavioural therapy-based anonymous rehabilitation programme for CSAM users. For this study, we analysed responses to 12 survey questions. All 12 questions are single-answer questions, i.e., the respondent is asked to pick one option from a predetermined list of answer options.
We may potentially be targeting a specific population due to the fact that the demographics of Tor users are probably not representative of all internet users. The participants in the sample are Tor users who (i) conducted a search for CSAM and (ii) opted to complete the survey; thus, they constitute a convenience sample.
We analysed the data with both univariate and bivariate methods. The analyses in the main part of the text mainly describe the population seeking CSAM material on the Tor network, and these results provide a point of comparison to our other results. The bivariate analyses, on the other hand, deepen the picture of the factors associated with help-seeking for CSAM use. In these analyses, the outcome variable is based on help-seeking, whereas we selected the independent variables to measure both the intensity of CSAM use and the effects of CSAM use on the users themselves., European Commission: SCARE - Side-Channel Aware Engineering 804476; European Commission: SPIRS - SECURE PLATFORM FOR ICT SYSTEMS ROOTED AT THE SILICON MANUFACTURING PROCESS 952622, Peer reviewed

COMPREHENSIVE DATASET FROM HIGH RESOLUTION UAV LAND COVER MAPPING OF DIVERSE NATURAL ENVIRONMENTS IN SERBIA
- Ivošević, Bojana
- Pajević, Nina
- Brdar, Sanja
- Waqar, Rana
- Valente, João
This dataset consists of raw RGB and NIR images captured using the DJI Inspire 1 UAV equipped with interchangeable RGB and NDVI-modified cameras. Data were collected across 27 diverse study sites in Serbia, representing a variety of ecological and landscape features. The UAV flights followed pre-defined grid missions, capturing high-resolution imagery with a ground sampling distance (GSD) of 3–4 cm. The collected images were processed to produce georeferenced orthomosaics, which serve as the basis for detailed land cover classification and analysis., El dataset se puede consultar y descargar en https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14169484, Peer reviewed
