OPTICAL MICROSCOPY IMAGES OF CAST IRON ALLOYS DEFECTS

The dataset comprises two subdatasets, featuring images of carbon defects based on cast iron samples adhering to European standards. The images are in .png format and are divided into training and test sets, with an additional split into 5 folds for reproducibility.The first sub-dataset contains images with only one type of defect per image. The second sub-dataset combines defects from consecutive categories to more closely represent real-world scenarios. Additionally, the second sub-dataset includes the corresponding semantic segmentation masks (MASK) as well as pre-trained models (.h5) for classification purposes., [Description of methods used for collection/generation of data] The data has been derived from the ISO 945-1:2019, describing the different types of defects that can be found in graphite classification. CLIMATE OF THE PYRENEES

CLIMPY (Characterisation of the evolution of climate and provision of information for adaptation in the Pyrenees) and OPCC-ADAPYR (Capitalization, observation, transfer and appropriation of adaptation strategies to climate change in the Pyrenees) are transboundary projects that aimed to perform a detailed analysis of recent trends in temperature, precipitation and snow cover in the Pyrenees, and their future projection. The three files provided contain daily precipitation and maximum and minimum temperature in a high-resolution gridded dataset of 1x1 km spatial resolution for the 1981-2020 period. Daily estimates for each grid point were computed from the raw data of 1,343 stations located in Spain, France and Andorra, provided by national and regional meteorological services: Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (SMC), Andorran Meteorological Service, Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET), Météo-France (MF) using the daily precipitation and temperature reconstruction (quality control, reconstruction and gridding) from Serrano-Notivoli et al. Here, we present a new paleo-rainfall reconstruction based on a speleothem d18O record from Colombia, which spans most of the last glacial cycle. Our results suggest that the strength and positioning of the Intertropical Convergence Zone over northern South America were more strongly affected by summer insolation at high northern latitudes than by local insolation during the last glacial cycle, resulting in an antiphased relationship with the climate in Cariaco Basin. New insight into how orbital forcing amplified or dampened Intertropical Convergence Zone precipitation during millennial-scale events, such as Greenland Stadials, Interstadials, and Heinrich events. During Greenland Stadial events, the Intertropical Convergence Zone was positioned close to the latitude of El Peñon, as expressed by very negative d18O values. Greenland Interstadial events, on the other hand, are marked by relatively high d18O values and reduced rainfall in the El Peñon record, suggesting a northward withdrawal of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, consistent with wetter conditions to the north at Cariaco. During some Heinrich Stadial events, and Heinrich Stadial 1 in particular, the Intertropical Convergence Zone must have been displaced away from its modern location near El Peñon, as conditions were very dry at both El Peñon and Cariaco., ERC_Adv_834514; FAPESP 2016/15807-5; 2017/50085-3; 2022/08359-7., Peer reviewed
