DATA SET: AVERAGE DAILY MINIMUM TEMPERATURE IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY IN CORSICA
- Soubeyrand, Samuel
- Abboud, Candy
[Construction] This raster was constructed from the freely available database (PVGIS © European Communities, 2001-2008) providing, in particular, monthly averages of the daily minimum temperature reconstructed over a grid with 1$\times$1km spatial resolution (Huld et al., 2006). These monthly averages correspond to the period 1995-2003 and were used by Abboud et al. (2019, 2020) to model Xylella fastidious dynamics in South Corsica.
Load the raster in the R statistical software (v4.1.2):

THE 2014 GREENLAND-PORTUGAL GEOVIDE WATER MASSES DATA (GO-SHIP A25 AND GEOTRACES GA01)

The GEOVIDE cruise was carried out coast to coast between Portugal and Newfoundland via the south tip of Greenland, following the OVIDE line in the eastern part and crossing the Labrador Sea in the western part. The classical hydrographic rosette was cast 163 times at 78 different geographical positions called stations. While the CTD-O2 probe acquired continuous profiles of the “physical” variables (pressure, temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen), 22 Niskin bottles were closed at different levels during the upcast to provide samples for biogeochemical analysis. After calibration, we find precisions for pressure, temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen that fit the GO-SHIP international quality requirements. In parallel, but not simultaneously, a trace-metal rosette (TMR) was cast 53 times, also acquiring profiles of physical variables, and equipped with 24 Go-Flo bottles adapted for the sampling of trace metals. Depending on the number of operations, stations were identified as “Short” (one single CTD cast), “Large” (3 CTD casts), “XLarge” (up to 6) and “Super” (up to 11). All along the track of the ship, current magnitude and direction was measured by Ship Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers, down to 1000m depth.
This dataset reports for the water mass proportions (from 0 to 1, i.e., from 0 to 100%) for the classical rosette for the following water masses: East North Atlantic Central Water of 16ºC (ENACW16) and of 12 ºC (ENACW12); Subpolar Mode Water of 8ºC (SPMW8), of 7ºC (SPMW7) and of the Irminger Sea (IrSPMW); Labrador Sea Water (LSW); Subarctic Intermediate Water of 6ºC (SAIW6) and of 4ºC (SAIW4); Mediterranean Water (MW); Iceland–Scotland Overflow Water (ISOW); Denmark Strait Overflow Water (DSOW); Polar Intermediate Water (PIW); and North-East Atlantic Deep Water lower (NEADWL). The dataset also contains the changes in oxygen due to the remineralisation of organic matter (DO2bio; in µmol kg-1)., No

9 figures, 6 tables.-- S.3.1. Linear sweep voltammetry: The LSV experiments were performed at a scan rate of 50 mV·s-1 in oxygen-saturated 0.1 M KOH. The scan in the nitrogen-saturated electrolyte is also presented. Apart from the 5 electrodes with the CNT inks, a reference catalyst Pt/C (60%) was tested. S.4. Specific capacitance: We calculated the double-layer capacitance (DLC) from CV at scan rates ranging from 0 to 150 mV·s-1 on a GC electrode of 4 mm diameter and 0.06 μF·cm-2 specific capacitance. The capacitive current was determined as the difference between the cathodic and anodic current at a given potential. Capacitive currents were plotted vs. the scan rate (Figure 4.b) and the calculated slope was divided by 2 to obtain the electrode capacitance. Next, the specific capacitance was calculated dividing the electrode capacitance by the real specific surface area from AFM (Table S.6). The area of vertical nano-crevices is not considered because of the cantilever tip size, resulting in an underestimated surface. Nonetheless, the use of AFM to obtain the specific capacitance has been recommended in the case of low RF surfaces [13].-- S.5. Stability tests: The stability of the carbon-based catalysts was assessed on the GC electrode by CV. Up to 1,600 cycles were performed in the O2 saturated electrolyte without rotating the electrode. Two control measurements, before and after the series in static, were performed with a rotation speed of 1,600 rpm.-- Under a Creative Commons license CC-BY 4.0, S.1. Experimental details

Creating a century-long homogenized near-surface wind speed (WS) observation dataset is essential to improve our knowledge about the uncertainty and causes of WS stilling and recovery. We rescued paper-based WS records dating back to the 1920s at 13 stations in Sweden and established a four-step homogenization procedure to generate the first 10-member centennial homogenized WS dataset (HomogWS-se) for community uses among climatology, ecology, hydrology and energy industry. HomogWS-se can be used to study the WS variability and change, assess climate reanalysis, and constrain climate simulations for better future projection of changes in the WS and wind energy potential. HomogWS-se contains 13 individual text files with 10-member century-long homogenized monthly WS series, as well as the member-mean series., Peer reviewed

S7 Fig. Thermoalteration of the bones of EQ2 during Phase 1. The bones of this equid reveal signs of dehydration, cracking and color change along the superficial cortical zone of the radius (A), talus (C) and calcaneus (D). The color changes affected the peripheral cementum of the labial surface of the maxillary dentition (B upper). The lingual surface (B lower) is less affected, probably due to protection offered by soft tissue such as the tongue. The predominance of reddish-brown, reddish-yellow and at times dark brown according to the Munsell chart suggest the bones were exposed to temperatures between 225 and 350º C.
S8 Fig. Bone dislocations and displacements of Phase 1. 1. EQ 7: A) incisor bone, B) left maxilla with molars M1-2-3, C) occipital bone, D) axis displacement. 2 EQ35 atlas dislocation, 3–4 EQ35 femur and pelvis dislocation.
