Tailoring the unique delayed and long-lasting luminescence of persistent phosphors is crucial for their application in anti-counterfeiting, data storage, imaging displays, and AC-driven lighting. We introduce a novel strategy to achieve this by modifying the refractive index of persistent phosphor transparent coatings. Specifically, we developed ZnGa2O4:Cr3+/SiO2 nanocomposite films with tunable refractive indices from 1.45 to 1.7. This tunability allowed us to precisely control the Cr3+ radiative decay rate, resulting in a substantial 1.7-fold increase in both luminescence and afterglow brightness. Furthermore, our approach uniquely influences the intrinsic charging rate of the phosphor, a mechanism attributed to the strain induced on the ZnGa2O4:Cr3+ nanocrystals by the presence of SiO2. This work demonstrates an unprecedent ability to manipulate the afterglow kinetics without altering the material composition, opening new avenues for designing and optimizing persistent luminescence materials., This project has received funding from the BBVA Foundation Leonardo Grant for Physics Researchers 2023, and by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities under Grant EUR2023-143467 funded by MICIU/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR, and Grant PID2024-161708OB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033. [EN] This is the experimental dataset used in the paper “Biotribocorrosion of CoCr Surfaces Using Hyaluronic Acid functionalized with Graphene Oxide nanoadditive as hybrid lubricants", that include tribocorrosion and electrochemical impedance tests. Tribocorrosion tests were carried out in a pin-on-disk tribometer. The experiments were conducted under a normal load of 5 N, a rotational speed of 120 rpm, following a circular sliding path with a radius of 7 mm and covering a total sliding of 15,000 meters. The dataset includes the experimental results of the tribocorrosion behaviour of CoCr surfaces immersed in the next lubricant media: 0.3 wt% hyaluronic acid (CoCr_bola_CoCr_HA1 and 2); 0.4 wt.% graphene oxide (CoCr_bola_CoCr_GO1, -2 and -3); 0.3 wt.% HA + 0.008 wt.% GO (CoCr_bola_CoCrHA3OG2%-1 and -2): 0.3 wt.% HA + 0.016 wt.% GO (CoCr_bola_CoCrHA3OG4%-1, -2 and -3); 0.3 wt.% HA + 0.032 wt.% GO (CoCr_bola_CoCrHA3OG8%-1 and -2). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements of CoCr surfaces in 0.3 wt.% HA + 0.016 wt.% GO was carried out for 7 days. Impedance tests were performed in a three-electrode electrochemical cell with the modified CoCr surfaces acting as the working electrode, a Pt wire acting as counter electrode, and Ag/AgCl (3 M KCl) as a reference electrode. A Gamry potentiostat/galvanostat was used to generate a sinusoidal wave of 10 mV amplitude in the frequency range 100 kHz to 1 mHz, logarithmically spaced by 5 points/decade, which was applied at the corrosion potential Ecorr. This data set includes the results of the coefficient of friction and electrochemical impedance data obtained for CoCr surfaces immersed in the previously described lubricant media. COF files are composed of 6 columns: force, temperature, revolutions, COF, sliding and time. Nyquist impedance files are composed of 3 columns: frequency, real impedance (Z') and imaginary impedance (Z''). Bode impedance files are composed of 3 columns: frequency, Impedance modulus (Z) and phase angle (Phase). [EN] This is the experimental dataset used in the paper “Biotribocorrosion of CoCr Surfaces Using Hyaluronic Acid functionalized with Graphene Oxide nanoadditive as hybrid lubricants". This dataset collects 1,433 bibliographic references related to Spanish architecture during the Franco's dictatorship (1939-1975). The research was focused on news of Spanish Architecture abroad, including academic journals, architectural press, conference proceedings, books, book chapters, magazines and newspapers, but it excludes the Spanish media. All references were tagged including names of architects, buildings, types of buildings and cities. The database is delivered in three file formats (BibTeX, RIS and Zotero RDF), which are compatible with several reference managers as Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote or RefWorks. This dataset was produced by the R&D project “Spanish architecture in international communication media: Publications, exhibitions, congresses (First part: 1940-1975)”. Three ways were used to find the news: Firstly, systematic research was done using architectural databases as Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, JSTOR or ProQuest Periodicals Index Online; secondly, the most influential architectural magazines were revised in paper (The Architectural Review, Architectural Forum, Casabella continuità, Domus or L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui); and thirdly, some authors and works were studied following bibliographical references published in their monographs.

Measurements of the water surface elevation were taken close to the wavemaker, along the sloping foreshore and at the dike toe location by resistance type wave gauges. The overtopping flow properties thickness and velocity were measured by ultra-sonic distance sensors and high-speed cameras. Due to its large storage size, the whole set of data is provided on request., The experimental data refer to physical model tests carried out in 2019 from May to December at the wave flume CIEMito of the Maritime Engineering Laboratory (LIM) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC). The experiments aimed at characterizing the flow characteristics associated to the maximum individual overtopping volumes, due to specific storm events with different return periods. Specifically, the experiments focused on the measurements of overtopping volumes and discharges, in order to find the relation between these parameters with the corresponding overtopping flow velocities and overtopping flow depth, when the maximum overtopping event occurs on a dike during a sea state. A model geometry comprised of a sloping beach, a sloping dike and promenade was built into the CIEMito flume.

HIGH PRESSURE GRINDING ROLLS MODELLING AND PARAMETERS DEPENDENCY

  • Anticoi Sudzuki, Hernán Francisco|||0000-0003-4316-5203
The data base is related to the High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR) modelling. This data was generated in a HPGR manufacturer pilot plant in Freiberg, Germany, and represents the particle size distribution measurement of the feed and the product of the milling reactor, and the calculation of some material features, as the moisture or the density. This data is necessary for the correct modelization of the comminution in a HPGR, and it can be used for different mathematical models., A model for High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR) was developed in this work based on the widely used Population Balance Model (PBM). This approach uses a variety of different functions one of which is the breakage distribution function. The methodology to determine the function parameters is presented and using these values, the model was compared with real processed materials from an HPGR pilot plant, with tungsten ore as the test material. The results of the model parameter determination, and the product of the comminution in the HPGR, showed the dependency of material breakage on the material characteristics, and on the operative and process conditions. The model presented is reasonably robust, showing less error than the 3.0 Root Mean Square Error when compared with a heterogeneous feed particle size distribution material. The operational gap was also studied, and its dependency on the feed particle size, porosity, moisture, and specific pressing force was proven.
