Los datos constarían de 24 directorios, uno para cada terremoto con los datos brutos, procesados, y resultados. Se pueden comprimir/empaquetar en un archivo tar. El contenido se describe en el archivo README., Data files and modelling results of regional centroid moment tensors obtained for earthquakes in the 2016 South Alboran seismic crisis, and presented in the article "Earthquake crisis unveils the growth of an incipient continental fault system", by Eulàlia Gràcia et al. Large continental faults extend for thousands of kilometres to form boundaries between rigid tectonic blocks. These faults are often associated with prominent topographic features, and they can produce large earthquakes. Here we present first evidence of such a major tectonic structure in its initial growing stage, the Al-Idrissi Fault System (AIFS), in the Alboran Sea. Until now, this fault system had always been described as a complex diffuse boundary between Eurasia and Nubia plates. However, combining newly acquired high-resolution bathymetric and seismic reflection data, together with seismological analyses of the 2016 Mw 6.4 earthquake offshore Morocco – the largest event ever recorded in the area – we unveil a 3D geometry for the AIFS, which definitively correspond to a crustal-scale boundary. We report evidence of left-lateral strike-slip displacement, characterize fault segmentation and demonstrate that the AIFS is the source of the 2016 events. The occurrence of the Mw 6.4 earthquake together with historical and instrumental events supports that the AIFS is currently growing through propagation and linkage of its segments. Thus, the AIFS provides a unique model for inception and growth of a young continental fault system., MINECO CGL2011-30005-C02-02, CTM2015-70155-R and Acción IDRISSI (MINECO/FEDER), The structure of the dataset is indicated in README.txt, Peer reviewed

Ex situ programmes have become critical for improving the conservation of many threatened species, as they establish backup populations and provide individuals for reintroduction and reinforcement of wild populations. The Iberian lynx was considered the most threatened felid species in the world in the wake of a dramatic decline during the second half of the 20th century that reduced its numbers to around only 100 individuals. An ex situ conservation programme was established in 2003 with individuals from the two well-differentiated, remnant populations, with great success from a demographic point of view. Here we evaluate the genetic status of the Iberian lynx captive population based on molecular data from 36 microsatellites, including patterns of relatedness and representativeness of the two remnant genetic backgrounds among founders, the evolution of diversity and inbreeding over the years, and genetic differentiation among breeding facilities. In general terms, the ex situ population harbours most of the genetic variability found in the two wild populations and has been able to maintain reasonably low levels of inbreeding and high diversity, thus validating the applied management measures, and potentially representing a model for other species in need of conservation, Peer reviewed

High-spatial-resolution probability maps of drought duration and magnitude across Spain. https://doi.org/10.5194/nhess-2018-289 Acceso mediante licencia: http://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/, This dataset includes 1.1 km spatial resolution of the Generalized Pareto parameters (X0, alpha, Kappa) of drought duration and magnitude for SPI and SPEI at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months timescales and the maximum drought duration and magnitude risk maps for 50 and 100 years for SPI and SPEI at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months timescales. This dataset contains two zip files “parameters” and “risk_maps”. Parameters zip file contains 16 netCDF3 (8 for drought magnitude and 8 for drought duration) each one provides the Generalized Pareto parameters (1:X0, 2:alpha, 3:Kappa) for one index (SPI or SPEI) and one timescale (1, 3, 6 and 12 months). Risk_maps zip file contains 8 netCDF3 (4 for maximum drought magnitude and 4 for maximum drought duration) each one provides the risk maps for 4 time scales (1, 3, 6, 12 months) of one index (SPI or SPEI) and one time period (50 or 100 years). These data sets are associated with an article that is currently under review.-- Estos conjuntos de datos están asociados a un artículo que está actualmente en proceso de revisión, A new code for anisotropic traveltime tomography is presented. We describe the equations governing the anisotropic ray propagation algorithm and the modified inversion solver. This code can provide better understanding of the Earth's subsurface in the rather common geological contexts in which seismic velocity displays a weak dependency on the polar angle of ray propagation. We study the sensitivity of two medium parametrizations and compare four inversion strategies on a canonical model. Sedimentation of particles in the ocean leads to inhomogeneous horizontal distributions at depth. The present dataset contains density and trajectory data for particle sedimentation computed from the velocity field given by a ROMS simulation at 1/12 x 1/12 degrees of horizontal resolution in the region of Benguela (south east Atlantic). Direct particle sampling as well as the result of a geometrical approach are included., Peer reviewed

Seismic data was successfully collected in Alhama de Murcia (Spain). The total amount of seismic reflection data collected was 13.2 km in 6 profiles NW-SE oriented. Technical specifications of the profiles: Receiver number: 240, Receiver interval: 2 m, Source: accelerated weightdrop 250 kg, Source interval: 6 m, Sample rate: 1 ms, Record time: 4 s. Contact people: Martínez-Díaz, J.; jmdiaz@geo.ucm.es and Carbonell, R.; rcarbo@ictja.csic.es, This work is part of the research project: “InterGeo”. One of the main objectives of this project is to understand the seismogenetic behavior of the Alhama de Murcia Fault (FAM) located in the Betic Cordillera (Spain). In this study several intersegment areas were defined. Some structural and paleoseismic studies and geophysical surveys have been carried out on these zones., Research project reference code: CGL2013-47412-C2-1-P, Peer reviewed

The acquired data comprises 2D/3D and 3C components. The acquisition employed 647 seismic receivers, distributed in a 3D mesh around the target and along six 2D crooked lines sampling the study area. The source employed was a 32 t vibroseis truck, operating at c. 900 points in the pathways along the 2D profiles. Each vibration point was used three times, with frequency sweeps of 10-100 Hz., Fair and sustainable production of raw materials is one of the main challenges faced by our society. Through its RawMaterials Programme, the European Institute of Technology (EIT) encourages research and innovation solutions for mineral exploration to make them safer, sustainable and cost-effective. The SIT4ME project, funded by EIT, addresses these objectives by undertaking seismic mineral exploration methods in crystalline tectonic settings, at a reduced cost. The SIT4Me project will analyse the efficiency of passive seismic methods (i.e. ambient noise interferometry) for subsurface imaging, by comparing active- and passive-source datasets in mining areas. The files in this dataset correspond to the controlled-source acquisition., European Institute of Innovation & Technology, Grant number EIT 17024, SIT4ME project, Peer reviewed
