It is reported the first example of a supramolecular cage that works as a catalytic molecular reactor to perform transformations over fullerenes in aqueous medium.Taking advantage of the ability of metallo–organic Pd(II)-subphthalocyanine (SubPc) capsules to form stable host:guest complexes with C60, we have prepared a water-soluble cage that provides a hydrophobic environment for conducting cycloadditions over encapsulated C60, namely, Diels–Alder reactions with anthracene. Indeed,the presence of catalytic amounts of SubPc cage dissolved in water promotes coencapsulation of insoluble C60 and anthracene substrates, allowing the reaction to occur inside the cavity under mild conditions. The lower stability of the host:guest complex with the resulting C60 cycloadduct facilitates its displacement by pristine C60, which grants catalytic turnover. Moreover, bis-addition compounds are regioselectively formed inside the cage when using excess anthracene.

The fall of the Berlin Wall has generated emotions and social passions all over the world, not only in Germany but also in Spain. The entire communist world, and not only the new state of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), was at stake. This chapter is concerned with the application of the notion of genre to Spanish newspapers, which dealt with the fall from 1989 onwards. These newspapers combine texts, layout and images to convey meaning of this socially significant activity. We are interested in the analysis on newspaper front pages. Front pages act as “show windows” of their respective newspapers to establish the individuality of its newspaper ((Bateman, John, Delin, Judy, & Henschel, Renate, New Directions in the Analysis of Multimodal Discourse. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, New Jersey, 2007): 148). We take the case of two Spanish newspapers of opposing ideologies: El País (leaning towards Europeanism, progressivism and social liberalism) and the newspaper ABC (known for generally supporting conservative political views). In doing this, we pay attention to the following multimodal features: (1) the layout structure: the nature, appearance and position of communicative elements (text, headlines, photos) on the page, the hierarchical relationship, along with the content-related structure of the information communicated about the fall of the Berlin Wall; (2) the rhetorical structure and how the content is strategically argued. We draw on the theory of pragma-dialectics and use its notion of strategic manoeuvring to trace and contrast the rhetorical fabric of the data. The findings of this case study may be of interest to researchers of revolutions and the media, multimodality and rhetorical discourse analysis.

Este dataset reúne los datos utilizados para la construcción del SIG histórico “El alquiler de casas, cuartos y piezas en Madrid a mediados del siglo XVIII”, publicado como mapaweb interactivo mediante la tecnología de ArcGIS Online. Contiene información georreferenciada de un corpus de anuncios publicados en el "Diario Noticioso, Curioso-Erudito y Comercial" entre 1758 y 1768 sobre la oferta y demanda de viviendas de alquiler en la villa y corte de Madrid, así como de alojamientos destinados a los forasteros en posadas y casas de particulares. El dataset contiene la información completa de los anuncios publicados y aporta datos sobre las tipologías de habitaciones disponibles, sus características y cualidades, localización de las viviendas, precios de arrendamiento y localización de cada casa.

Una de las informantes es la última de 14 hermanos y es la única que no sabe hablar portugués, porque sus padres le hablaban en español. La pérdida de la lengua en la generación nacida en los años 50 (aprox.) del s. XX. Ninguno de los hermanos habla portugués entre ellos y solo uno (nuestro informante) lo habla con la madre. Esta ya habla bastante menos el portugués: con sus hermanos (menos el pequeño, con el que habla en español), las cuñadas, etc., Uma das informantes é a última de 14 irmãos e é a única que não fala português, porque os seus pais falaram com ela em espanhol. The chapter presents an analysis of evaluations of five NOOCs (Nano Open Online Courses) for teacher education, focusing on connected methodologies, collaborative, gamification, hybrid approaches and flexible learning. Through interviews and focus groups in English, six key dimensions are examined: structure, content, methodology, technology, cohesion and overall satisfaction. The sample consisted of 23 female professors from European universities (Italy, Bulgaria, Romania and Haiti). The dataset consists of the analysis of 17 interviews conducted with university professors who participated as students in a training program focused on digital and flexible methodologies, with the aim of evaluating its quality.
