Database for the analysis of the perception of speed when one drives along curves with wider longitudinal markings than the ones established by the traffic code. To this end, video recordings of vehicles traveling along curves with normal longitudinal markings and modified ones (wider) were made. Then, a survey was carried out. The participants were shown the videos and asked in which they perceived a greater vehicle speed. This database includes the results of that survey., Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness for funding the project "Increasing the width of road markings as a tool for reducing the speed on highway sections with safety problems (MARVIVEL)", reference TRA2012-37823, and to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain, for funding the project “Investment in roads and road safety: An international analysis (INCASE)”, reference RTI2018-101770-B-I00 (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033). ARIADNE - STRUCTURE AND DYNAMICS IN ACTIVE GLASS-FORMING LIQUIDS. DATA MANAGEMENT PLAN

ARIADNE (840195)

  • Roldán Vargas, Sándalo
Version 1.0, This material has been created for pedagogical purposes to serve as guide for the management of scientific data for different users such as undergraduate students (e.g. basic experimental techniques, grade of physics), master and phD students, and post-doctoral researchers. In particular, this report describes the initial Data Management Plan (DMP) for the project ARIADNE (840195), which is funded by the European Commission through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) as part of the Individual European Standard Fellowship Programme (IF-EF-ST). The coordinator of this DMP, who is also the experienced researcher associated to the funded fellowship, is Dr. Sándalo Roldán-Vargas from the department of applied physics at the University of Granada (UGR), Spain (the beneficiary institution). The purpose of this DMP is to provide a detailed description of the procedures and protocols for the management of the datasets generated during the lifetime of the project. This DMP will describe the main data management principles in terms of data standards and metadata, sharing, archiving, preservation, and security. This is an alive document that will be updated at regular intervals during the lifetime of the project and be allocated in the institutional repository of the UGR, DIGIBUG., European Commission- MSCA-IF-EF-ST (2018)

This database that can be used for macro-level analysis of road accidents on interurban roads in Europe. Through the 19 variables it contains, road accidents can be explained using variables related to economic resources invested in roads, traffic, road network, socioeconomic characteristics, legislative measures and meteorology. The database presents data from 1998 up to 2016 from 20 european countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. Crash data were obtained from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). With reference to the data on economic resources invested in roadways, the database of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), managed by the International Transport Forum (ITF) was used. Moreover, diverse additional sources, mainly the national Transport Ministries of the respective countries were consulted. All the monetary values were converted to constant prices in 2015 using the OECD price index., This database was carried out in the framework of the project “Inversión en carreteras y seguridad vial: un análisis internacional (INCASE)”, financed by: FEDER/Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades–Agencia Estatal de Investigación/Proyecto RTI2018-101770-B-I00, within Spain´s National Program of R+D+i Oriented to Societal Challenges. Moreover, the authors would like to express their gratitude to the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda of Spain (MITMA), and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany (BMVI) for providing data for this study.

MARITAL SATISFACTION, SEX, AGE, MARRIAGE DURATION, RELIGION, NUMBER OF CHILDREN, ECONOMIC STATUS, EDUCATION, AND COLLECTIVISTIC VALUES: DATA FROM 33 COUNTRIES

  • Sorokowski, Piotr
  • Martínez Gutiérrez, Rocío
This paper was made possible by the funds of Polish National Science Centre (grant number N N106 012740). In Saudi Arabia, the research was funded by the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Saud University, INTRODUCTION Forms of committed relationships, including formal marriage arrangements between men and women, exist in almost every culture (Bell, 1997). Yet, similarly to many other psychological constructs (Henrich et al., 2010), marital satisfaction and its correlates have been investigated almost exclusively in Western countries (e.g., Bradbury et al., 2000). Meanwhile, marital relationships are heavily guided by culturally determined norms, customs, and expectations (for review see Berscheid, 1995; Fiske et al., 1998). While we acknowledge the differences existing both between- and within-cultures, we measured marital satisfaction and several factors that might potentially correlate with it based on self-report data from individuals across 33 countries. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the raw data available for anybody interested in further examining any relations between them and other country-level scores obtained elsewhere. Below, we review the central variables that are likely to be related to marital satisfaction., Polish National Science Centre grant number N N106 012740, Deanship of Scientific Research at King Saud University, The data discussed in this manuscript have been deposited in Figshare repository and is accessible through the following hyperlink: https://figshare.com/s/d2bd33a9605a3a204881 under the name: “Marital, Sex, Age, Marriage Duration, Religion, Number of Children, Economic Status, Education, and Collectivistic Values: Data from 33 Countries.” The deposit contains two files: (1) Marital satisfaction_Data, a xlsx file containing the raw data, and (2) Marital satisfaction_Questionnaire, a doc file containing the questionnaire, along with an exhaustive description of the column labels in the dataset.
