REPLICATION DATA FOR HYPEREDGE PREDICTION AND THE STATISTICAL MECHANISMS OF HIGHER-ORDER AND LOWER-ORDER INTERACTIONS IN COMPLEX NETWORKS

  • Sales-Pardo, Marta
  • Mariné-Tena, Aleix
  • Roger Guimerà
This dataset contains all the input data and results necessary to reproduce the experiments described in the associated publication on hyperedge prediction and statistical mechanisms in complex networks. ### Folder structure #### `data/DATA_FOLDS/` This directory contains the data used for 5-fold cross-validation of the model. Each fold consists of a pair of files: - `trainX.dat`: the training data for fold X (where X ∈ [0–4]) - `testX.dat`: the corresponding test data for the same fold Each training set represents 80% of the original dataset, and each test set represents the remaining 20%. The data files are in `.dat` format and contain encoded hyperedges used to fit and evaluate the generative model. #### `data/REDUCED_DEFINITIVE_RESULTS/` This directory includes the prediction results for each of the five folds (`fold0` to `fold4`) for different values of the model parameter **K**, which determines the number of latent groups: - `K2_foldX.csv` → prediction results for fold X using K = 2 - `K3_foldX.csv` → results using K = 3 - ... - `K5_foldX.csv` → results using K = 5 All result files are in `.csv` format and contain metrics and predicted scores generated by the model. #### `README.md` This file describes the usage of the dataset and details the experimental setup. ### Notes The dataset is provided in support of reproducibility and open research. The full version of this dataset is also structured in a public GitHub repository: https://github.com/AleixMT/TrigenicInteractionPredictor All data is released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

PIG BODY COMPOSITION DURING GROWTH DETERMINED NON-DESTRUCTIVELY OR WITH DISSECTION AND INTRAMUSCULAR FAT CONTENT OF DIFFERENT ANATOMICAL LOCATIONS

  • Font i Furnols, Maria
Data from body composition of pigs of three crossbreeds obtained at four different moments during growth (30, 70, 100 and 120 kg body weight) is presented. Moreover, a subsample of pigs at 30, 70 and 100 kg and all those of 120 kg were slaughtered, all of them cut following the EU reference cutting and some of them dissected, either the four main cuts (simplified dissection) or all of them (full dissection). At each target BW live pigs were CT scanned, thus the volume associated with each Hounsfield value is available. Moreover from CT images at specific anatomical location, several measures (area, thickness, etc.) were obtained in order to characterize the body composition. Also, carcass characteristics (fat and muscle thickness) were obtained directly on the carcass after slaughter and the weight and intramuscular fat content of three ham muscles and 3 locations of the loin were determined. This information can be used to obtain growth curves for the different tissues and cuts a and to understand tissue deposition at different growth stages, either for all the animals globally or to see differences between genotypes. Also, it is a good database to see the relation between the whole carcass composition and the cuts composition, since it provides the weight of all the cuts and the dissection (i.e. weight of the different tissues) of some of them. Moreover, differences between full and simplified dissection can be studied from the database. Intramuscular fat is an important quality attribute that affects the acceptability of meat by consumer, either visually or after eating it. Usually, intramuscular fat is measured in one muscle, but the database provides information of six different muscle/locations of the pig carcass, allowing a more in-depth study of this attribute. All this data has been used in several papers but it can be reused and reanalysed using other methodologies and with a different purpose.

ASSESSING CONSUMER SUPPORT FOR PESTICIDE REDUCTION IN VINEYARDS AND OLIVE GROVES USING CHOICE EXPERIMENT AND CONTINGENT VALUATION METHODS

  • Larvoe, Noah
  • Kallas, Zein
  • de Herralde, Felicidad
While the EU's pesticide reduction efforts primarily target farmers, consumers also play a crucial role in achieving these goals through their purchasing decisions. This survey collects data from 5,091 consumers who purchased both wine and olive oil in the three months preceding the survey, assessing their willingness to pay for products made with reduced pesticide use. Conducted in France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, the survey gathers insights into purchase habits, preferences, attitudes, perceptions, previous purchasing behavior, and willingness to pay a premium. For wine consumers, a discrete choice experiment based on past purchases was used, while contingent valuation was applied for olive oil consumers. Additionally, wine consumers were categorized into organic and conventional buyers, with each group presented with tailored choice sets based on their previous purchases. There were no missing values, and all respondents provided consent before participating. The data contribute to understanding consumer willingness to support the EU's target of halving pesticide use by 2030. Findings offer valuable insights into how much wine and olive oil consumers are willing to pay for partial and full pesticide reduction in viticulture and olive farming, respectively, highlighting how consumer demand could be leveraged to drive pesticide reduction in these sectors.

  • Pons-Escoda, Albert
  • Julià-Sapé, Margarida
Meningioma-SFT-Classifier is a decision support system is designed to classify 1.5 or 3 T short echo (30-32 ms) single-voxel MR spectra processed with the INTERPRET parameters of JMRUI2XML2 into either Meningioma or Solitary Fibrous Tumor (SFT) using Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA). The tool assists radiologists or researchers by automating the classification of MR spectra, helping them to distinguish between meningiomas and solitary fibrous tumors. It applies an LDA model to analyze features extracted from MR spectra in XML format, generating a result based on this analysis.
