- Valenzuela-Palomo, Alberto
- Bueno-Martínez, Elena
- Sanoguera-Miralles, Lara
- Velasco, Eladio
Splicing and genetic susceptibility to cancer, Instituto de Biología y Genética Molecular. Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC-UVa), 47003 Valladolid, Spain., This dataset corresponds to a systematic splicing analysis of PALB2 splice-site variants that had been detected in over 113,000 women who took part of the large scale sequencing project BRIDGES. Eighty-two variants of the intron-exon boundaries were bioinformatically analyzed, and 42 of them were selected for subsequent splicing assays in three minigene constructs. Thirty-five variants impaired splicing, 23 of which were classified as pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants according to ACMG/AMP-based guidelines, so that carrier patients and families may benefit from tailored prevention protocols and personalized therapies., Eladio A. Velasco (EAV) has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 634935. EAV lab is supported by grants from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, Plan Nacional de I+D+I 2013-2016, ISCIII (PI17/00227 and PI20/00225) co-funded by FEDER from Regional Development European Funds (European Union) and from the Consejería de Educación, Junta de Castilla y León, ref. PHYSALIA PHYSALIS ABUNDANCE ON THE SHORES IN THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA DURING 2010, 2013 AND 2018 COMPILED BY ICMAN (CSIC)
- Prieto, Laura
The database provides Physalia physalis abundance on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
The dataset is provided as [space] delimitated plain text file within a compressed folder that also includes a single README file (in text format) containing a detailed description of the data structure. For more details, see the publication: Macias, D., Prieto, L., Garcia-Gorriz, E., 2021. A model-based management tool to predict the spread of Physalia physalis in the Mediterranean Sea. Minimizing risks for coastal activities. Oceanography and Coastal Management (accepted)., [General Notes] The data are provided under an Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. However, if you use the data, so as to support the authors, please consider citing the above mentioned article where data collection and analytical techniques are given in detail. Here we only give a brief details and a guide to the contents of the data files.
Data files are in UTF8 encoding, plain text format with space used as the delimiter. One column is written for each measured parameter. The order of each column is: Day, Month, Year, Number of colonies stranded, Latitude, Longitude and Julian Day. Missing data are filled with NaN., [Geographical coordinates of the sampling area] coordinates.txt provides the geographical coordinates of the sampling area. ST.ID represents the code (used to link to other data tables) for each site. long and lat are longitude and latitude, respectively., The dataset is subject to a Creative Commons License Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International., This data set includes data collected from ICMAN-CSIC (Spain) during three years of high abundance of these colonies in the Mediterranean basin: 2010, 2013 and 2018 that have been used to build a prognosis tool (model) for the Mediterranean Sea., This research was supported by the Project Agreement "Sistema de Observación y Predicción de Medusas en el Mar Balear” among Govern des Illes Balears, SOCIB and CSIC (Disposición 15052, BOE núm. 310, 2020)., Peer reviewed

Analysis of the direct effects of SGAs on adipose tissue metabolism and gene expression. The xls file shows the raw data of adipocyte glucose uptake lipolysis after short-term (30 min) and long term (24 and 72h) incubation of adipocytes and adipose tissuewith therapeutic and supra-therapeutic concentration of olanzapine (Ola) and Aripripazole (Ari)., Therapeutic concentrations of olanzapine and aripripazole have a moderate direct effect and adipocyte lipid and glucose metabolism, respectively. At supra-therapeutic concentrations, both of the antipsychotics seem to act as anti-inflammatory agents and mildly suppressed genes involved in the regulationof mitochondrial functions, which could potentially contribute to metabolic adverse effects. Alternatively, second generation antipsychotics could induce metabolic side effects via acting on other insulin-sensitive tissues and central nervous system., European Comission ITN Treatment H2020-MSCA-ITN-721236, Peer reviewed
