SWITCHABLE CHIRAL TRANSPORT IN CHARGE-ORDERED KAGOME CSV3SB5 [DATASET]

When electric conductors differ from their mirror image, unusual chiral transport coefficients appear that are forbidden in achiral metals, such as a non-linear electric response known as electronic magneto-chiral anisotropy (eMChA). While chiral transport signatures are by symmetry allowed in many conductors without a center of inversion, it reaches appreciable levels only in rare cases when an exceptionally strong chiral coupling to the itinerant electrons is present. So far, observations of chiral transport have been limited to materials in which the atomic positions strongly break mirror symmetries. Here, we report chiral transport in the centro-symmetric layered Kagome metal CsV3Sb5, observed via second harmonic generation under in-plane magnetic field. The eMChA signal becomes significant only at temperatures below T'~ 35 K, deep within the charge ordered state of CsV3Sb5 (TCDW ~ 94 K). This temperature dependence reveals a direct correspondence between electronic chirality, unidirectional charge order, and spontaneous time-reversal-symmetry breaking due to putative orbital loop currents. We show that the chirality is set by the out-of-plane field component and that a transition from left- to right-handed transport can be induced by changing the field sign. CsV3Sb5 is the first material in which strong chiral transport can be controlled and switched by small magnetic-field changes, in stark contrast to structurally chiral materials -- a prerequisite for their applications in chiral electronics., Peer reviewed

DIVERGENCE TIME ESTIMATION USING DDRAD DATA AND AN ISOLATION-WITH-MIGRATION MODEL APPLIED TO WATER VOLE POPULATIONS OF ARVICOLA [DATASET]

BEAST_alignments.zip, Molecular dating methods of population splits are crucial in evolutionary biology, but they present important difficulties due to the complexity of the genealogical relationships of genes and past migrations between populations. Using the double digest restriction-site associated DNA (ddRAD) technique and an isolation-with-migration (IM) model, we studied the evolutionary history of water vole populations of the genus Arvicola, a group of complex evolution with fossorial and semi-aquatic ecotypes. To do this, we first estimated mutation rates of ddRAD loci using a phylogenetic approach. An IM model was then used to estimate split times and other relevant demographic parameters. A set of 300 ddRAD loci that included 85 calibrated loci resulted in good mixing and model convergence. The results showed that the two populations of A. scherman present in the Iberian Peninsula split 34 thousand years ago, during the last glaciation. In addition, the much greater divergence from its sister species, A. amphibius, may help to clarify the controversial taxonomy of the genus. Download of the data available on the publisher platform., Diffraction images of a crystal of the F-BAR domain of PSTPIP1 (residues 1-289). Data were collected on a single crystal at the beamline i03 of the Diamond Light Source synchrotron (Didcot, UK) using radiation of 0.99987 Å wavelength and a PILATUS3 6M detector. The dataset consists of 3600 images (0.15 degree oscillation per image) that were collected: 2400 at one position and the other 1200 at a second site in the same crystal. Crystal belongs to the space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with unit cell dimensions a=48.3 Å, b=71.9 Å, c=204.6 Å. The asymmetric unit contains an homodimer of the F-BAR domain (~53% solvent content), which is the biological unit. Diffraction data was notably anisotropic. The lowest resolution limit was 4.32 Å in the direction b* and the highest limits were 2.12 Å and 2.17 in the directions a* and c*, respectively., Peer reviewed

Download of the data available on the publisher platform., Diffraction images of a crystal of the F-BAR domain of human PSTPIP1 (residues 1-289, Uniprot reference O43586-1) in complex with the CTH of LYP (residues 787-807, Uniprot Q9Y2R2-1). Data were collected on a single crystal at the beamline i03 of the Diamond Light Source synchrotron (Didcot, UK) using radiation of 0.99987 Å wavelength and a PILATUS3 6M detector. The dataset consists of 3 groups, each containing of 1800 images (0.1 degree oscillation per image), collected at three different positions of the same crystal. Crystal belongs to the space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with unit cell dimensions a=48.0 Å, b=72.0 Å, c=205.0 Å. The asymmetric unit contains an homodimer of the F-BAR domain bound to a LYP-CTH (~53% solvent content), which is the biological complex. Diffraction data was notably anisotropic. The lowest resolution limit was 4.05 Å in the direction b* and the highest limits were 2.11 Å and 2.10 in the directions a* and c*, respectively., Peer reviewed
