The main objective of the studies within COCID Work Package 6 is to understand basic mechanisms by which viral replication machineries are removed from cells after pharmacological interruption of viral replication using functional as well as imaging techniques, including soft X-ray tomography. In this document, we highlight the progress in establishing the HCV replication models (replicons), the antiviral treatment chosen to eliminate viral structures from the host cells and the correlation between elimination of the viral replication machinery and restoration of a normal host cell homeostasis, using markers of HCV-induced stress. These data are essential to frame the experimental setup chosen for the imaging process required in subsequent stps of the project., European Commission: CoCID - Compact Cell-Imaging Device to provide insight into the cellular origins of diseases and to aid in the development of novel therapeutics (101017116), Peer reviewed

Dataset are structured following well-established data formats. Three files are provided. The first file (Don_macroinv_ev_20221222) contains the information of each event (eventID, event date, geographical coordinates, sample effort, etc…); the second file (Don_macroinv_occ_20221222) contains the information of the occurrences of individuals recorded in each station and its taxonomic classification; and the third file (Don_macroinv_mof_20221222) provide information of biometric variable (weithg) of macroinvertebrates samples recorded in each occurrence., The monitoring of the macroinvertebrates community in Doñana wetlands was initiated in 2004 as part of the Monitoring Program of Natural Resources and Processes. The aim was to obtain a temporal and continuous series of data in the abundance and distribution of macroinvertebrates species to analyze the evolution of their numbers and estimates biodiversity values. Data were recorded annually between 2004-2019 by more than 2 members of the monitoring team which performed samplings in different locations twice per year in winter-spring and summer seasons when the study sites are flooded. The macroinvertebrates were sampled at the 139 stations classified according to their location (on either aeolian sands or marshland). Funnel traps were used as a sampling method. Between 5-9 funnel traps were randomly distributed (until 50 cm of depth) in each location, depending of the flooded area and depth. The traps were left for 24 hours and emptied the content into white sorting pans. Individuals were counted and identified until the maximun taxonomic level in the field and realease. During samplings, it was identified 65 families. The most abundances were Notonectidae and Corixidae. Data recorded during the surveys included species identification, number of individuals, sex and life stage (pupa, larvae, juvenile, adult) of the organisms when possible, as well as the time and georreferenced data of the observation. Between 2004-2007 data was registered in Excel file and since 2008 data was recorded in CyberTracker sequence). The protocol used has been supervised by researchers and the data have been validated by the members who performed the sampling., We acknowledge financial support from National Parks Autonomous Agency (OAPN) between 2002-2007; Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures from the Spanish Science and Innovation Ministry (ICTS-MICINN); Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development from the Regional Government of Andalusia (CAGPDES-JA) since 2007; and Doñana Biological Station from the Spanish National Research Council (EBD-CSIC) since all the study period (2005)., 1. Dataset of microplastics and other anthropogenic particles found on stomach contents of anchovy and sardines in the gulf of Cadiz (Europe) Dataset with date, longitude and latitude, species, area, sub-area, distance to Guadiana river mouth measured in kilometers (Guadiana), distance to Guadalquivir river mouth measured in kilometers (Guadalquivir), distance to the Bay of Cadiz measured in kilometers (Cadiz), distance to Huelva city measured in kilometers (Huelva), Individual, size (Cm), total weight (g), stomach weight (g), Relative condition index (Kn), Gonadosomatic index (GSI), sex, number of fibres and number of “others anthropogenic particles”., Fragments of microplastics (< 5mm) found in commercial species of fish, crustaceans, and bivalves, are an issue of global concern. The bioaccumulation of microplastics and other anthropogenic particles in different levels of the food web may provoke unwanted impacts on marine ecosystems and cause pernicious effects on human health. Here, we study the presence of anthropogenic particles and the fraction of microplastics in the target organs of two representative commercial fish species in Spain; the European anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus) and the European pilchard (Sardina pilchardus). The individuals were sampled along the continental shelf of the Gulf of Cádiz, from the Bay of Cádiz to Cape Santa Maria. The isolation of the microplastics (MPs) was carried out with a complete alkaline-oxidant organic digestion (KOH-H2O2) of the digestive tract, including both the contents ingested and the muscle tissues. Anthropogenic particles were found in all individuals of both species with an average of 8.94 ± 5.11 items·ind-1. Fibres made up 93 % of the items while fragments and films were represented by the remaining 7 %. The average size of the anthropogenic particles was 0.89 ± 0.82 mm. In addition to the fragment and film particles identified as microplastics, 29 % of the fibres were estimated to be microplastics by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis. The main polymer found in both species was nylon. No significant correlation was found between the abundance and size of anthropogenic particles ingested and individual size or other body variables. The analysis of similarities (ANOSIM) and the distanced-based multiple linear regression model showed a high homogeneity in anthropogenic particle contamination in both species throughout the study area along the continental shelf of the Gulf of Cádiz., Peer reviewed

Annex B: Occurrence data on HBCDDs in food submitted to EFSA and dietary surveys per country and age group available in the EFSA Comprehensive Database, considered in the exposure assessment Table B.1 Number of analytical results excluded from the initial dataset during data cleaning, and justification for exclusion Table B.2 Occurrence values of HBCDDs calculated total (µg/kg) by food category in the final dataset Table B.3 Food categories of FoodEx and mean LB and UB values as used for the exposure assessment Table B.4 Dietary surveys and the number of subjects by country and population class, available for the chronic exposure assessment, in the EFSA Comprehensive European Food Consumption Database Table B.5 Summary statistics on data reported for HBCDDs total, analysed with GC-MS, not considered for the exposure Figure B.1 Frequency distribution of the occurrence values for the food categories of interest at the LB without zeros presented on a log 10 scale Figure B.2 Frequency distribution of the occurrence values for the food categories of interest at the UB presented on a log 10 scale HBCDDs_Raw_Occurrence_Data.CSV contains the raw occurrence dataset on Hexabromocyclododecanes (HBCDDs) contaminant as extracted from EFSA DWH in December 2019 on 2530 food samples presented in the opinion as described in its section 3.2.1. Occurrence data submitted to EFSA. The data is provided in .csv format. This dataset is compliant with EFSA SSD model and contains two additional columns documenting issues identified in the cleaning process (column: issue) and the action taken (column: outcome) to address the issue (e.g. delete record or update values in specific fields). The link to the catalogues of controlled terminologies can be found under "Related identifiers”. Annex D: Chronic dietary exposure to HBCDDs and the contribution of different food groups to the dietary exposure Table D.1 Mean chronic dietary exposure (ng/kg b.w. per day) to HBCDDs for total population across European dietary surveys Table D.2 95th percentile chronic exposures to HBCDDs (ng/kg b.w. per day) for total population for each dietary survey across age classes Table D.3 Relative contribution (%) of food categories to the LB and UB estimates of dietary exposure to HBCDDs across different age classes, dietary surveys and countries Table D.4 Relative contribution of food categories to the LB estimates of dietary exposure to HBCDDs and related figure Table D.5 Relative contribution of food categories to the UB estimates of dietary exposure to HBCDDs and related figure Annex E – Outcome of the Public consultation on the Update of the risk assessment of hexabromocyclododecanes (HBCDDs) in food The Annex is provided as a separate pdf file contain the outcome of the public consultation of the draft scientific Opinion, including the comments received and how they were taken into account when finalising the scientific Opinion, Peer reviewed
