La asistencia de los pacientes con enfermedades respiratorias, crónicas y agudas, ocupa una parte importante de la actividad global de los profesionales de la salud de la medicina de atención primaria. Entre las primeras, por su gran prevalencia destacan la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC), el asma y el síndrome de apnea-hipopnea, y entre las segundas, la patología infecciosa respiratoria. El apropiado manejo diagnóstico y terapéutico de dichos procesos obliga a que el personal médico y de enfermería del nivel básico asistencial deba estar convenientemente (y de forma actualizada) preparado y formado.La presente monografía tiene como objetivo contribuir a la mejora de los conocimientos generales del profesional de la salud de atención primaria en la patología respiratoria de mayor prevalencia y relevancia. Por tanto, está dirigida especialmente al personal médico y de enfermería del nivel primario asistencial. Conocedores de la progresiva complejidad de la Medicina moderna y de la amplia y variada patología que un profesional de la salud de atención primaria debe abarcar, hemos diseñado deliberadamente la presente monografía como un manual práctico cuya lectura actualice los conocimientos del lector de forma rápida.

Brief description of file entitled ‘Andrade_Rodríguez_timeframe_700participants’: A sample that comprised 700 individuals: 428 (61.1%) men and 272 (38.9%) women, of mean age 22.51 years. Two groups of 350 participants each were used to compare different sets of instructions. Brief description of file entitled ‘Andrade_Rodríguez_circumstances-of-measurement_446participants’: A sample of 446 participants: 344 (77.1%) men and 102 (22.9%) women, of mean age 15.13 years. Two groups of 223 participants each were compared according to their different circumstances of measurement, These two data files are part of a study emphasizing the need for analysis of structural equivalence before using a single self-report with more than one set of instructions, or in diverse circumstances. They support the findings reported in a scientific manuscript which is currently under review. The publication of these data files does not compromise study participants’ privacy
