Data used for the paper: "The Interactions of Social Norms about Climate Change: Science, Institutions and Economics" by Antonio Cabrales, Manu García, David Ramos Muñoz, Angel Sánchez. Available at: https://arxiv.org/abs/2208.09239 The file is composed of four spreadsheet. Sheet 1 - Europarl. It contains monthly data on the use of different words in the European Parliament. Each column is labelled with the corresponding word, and each row is a month. The cell counts the number of times a word has been used in a question in that month. Data from January 2002 to December 2018 Sheet 2 - Media. It contains monthly mentions to "climate change" or "global warming" in different news media outlets around Europe. Each column is labelled with the media outlet (or the aggregate for a country) and each row is a month. The cell counts the number of times that word has been used in that outlet in that month. Data from January 1980 to December 2020 Sheet 3 - Top 5. It contains yearly data on the mentions to "climate change" or "global warming" in the top 5 economics journals titles or abstracts. Each column is labelled with the corresponding journal, and each row is a year. The cell counts the number of times that word has been used in that journal in that year. Data from January 2002 to December 2020 Sheet 4 - Top 5. It contains monthly data on the mentions to "climate change" or "global warming" in the journals Nature and Science articles. Each column is labelled with the corresponding type or article and journal, and each row is a month. The cell counts the number of times that word has been used in that type of article and that journal in that month. Data from January 2002 to December 2020.

El origen histórico. Antes era portugués, por eso la gente habla esa lengua. Alguna gente habla portugués, otra español, y alguna va alternando según el interlocutor. Cuenta aproximadamente con 400 habitantes, es una aldea que pertenece a Olivenza. La relación con los portugueses era buena. Había también matrimonios mixtos. Ya no se habla portugués. Diferencias con otras variedades lusófonas y otras lenguas. La doble nacionalidad. La emigración. Productos agrícolas y animales que se dan en el territorio; no es zona vinícola, A origem histórica. Antigamente era português, e é por isso que as pessoas falam essa língua. Algumas pessoas falam português, outras espanhol, e algumas alternam, dependendo do interlocutor. Tem aproximadamente 400 habitantes, é uma aldeia que pertence a Olivença. A relação com os portugueses era boa. Houve também casamentos mistos. O português já não se fala. Diferenças com outras variedades lusófonas e outras línguas. Dupla nacionalidade. A emigração. Produtos agrícolas e animais que ocorrem no território; não é uma zona de viticultura., The historical origin. It was Portuguese before, that's why people speak that language. Some people speak Portuguese, others Spanish, and some alternate depending on the speaker. It has approximately 400 inhabitants, it is a village that belongs to Olivenza. This dataset contains the data related to the article "Are Educational Escape Rooms More Effective Than Traditional Lectures for Teaching Software Engineering? A Randomized Controlled Trial" with DOI 10.1109/TE.2024.3403913. This dataset contains data of 326 software engineering students: 162 in the control group and 164 in the experimental group. The 164 students belonging to the experimental group learned software modeling by playing an educational escape room whereas the 162 students belonging to the control group learned the same subject matter through a traditional lecture. The dataset is provided through an XLSX file with two sheets: 1) ExperimentalGroup. This sheet contains the data related to the experimental group. 2) ControlGroup. This sheet contains the data related to the control group. The dataset contains the following data for each student in the experimental group: * Pre-test and post-test scores (on a scale from 0 to 10). * Learning gains, calculated as the difference between the post-test and the pre-test score. * Results of a perceptions questionnaire with 16 items. Items 1-14 are 5-point Likert items scored from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), whereas items 14 and 15 are yes/no questions. The dataset contains the following data for each student in the control group: * Pre-test and post-test scores (on a scale from 0 to 10). * Learning gains, calculated as the difference between the post-test and the pre-test score. All data is anonymized so that the identity of the participants cannot be ascertained.
