In the 20th century Spain maintained some of the highest rates of consanguineous marriage in Europe. In many regions these rates were still high in the 1950s and 1960s but then decreased rapidly, and by the 1970s a generalized transformation in mating patterns was under way. In the following decades the marriage of persons closely related by birth became rare. Consanguinity and inbreeding have been much studied in Spain but almost exclusively in the central and northern regions of the country...., En el siglo XX, España mantuvo unas de las tasas de matrimonios consanguíneos más elevadas de Europa.

The pollination specialisation/generalisation continuum is a basic concept in pollination biology, usually defined as the number of species or functional groups of pollinators visiting a plant species. The level of specialisation can be affected by the relative abundance of pollinators on flowers, the among-pollinator variation in per-visit efficiency and the intra-population variation in floral traits.

Los..., This study tackles the way the random variable concept is taught from its functional feature in secondary education, by taking into account theoretical elements from the theory of didactical situations. From a qualitative paradigm, the informant subjects were 22 students (15 to 16 years old) from a Chilean school. The data collection instrument was a didactic situation on a random variable, whose prior analysis allowed us to define categories for its study. The results evince mathematical...

Enhanced hemato-endothelial specification during human embryonic differentiation through developmental cooperation between AF4-MLL and MLL-AF4 fusions

Repositorio: Digibug. Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Granada
Bueno, Clara, Real Luna, Pedro José

The t(4;11)(q21;q23) translocation is associated with high-risk infant pro-B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and arises prenatally during embryonic/fetal hematopoiesis. The developmental/pathogenic contribution of the t(4;11)-resulting MLL-AF4 (MA4) and AF4-MLL (A4M) fusions remains unclear; MA4 is always expressed in patients with t(4;11)+ B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, but the reciprocal fusion A4M is expressed in only half of the patients. Because prenatal leukemogenesis manifests as..., Financial support for this work was obtained from the European Research Council (CoG-2014-646903 and PoC-2018-811220) and the Generalitat de Catalunya (SGR330 and PERIS 2017- 2019) to PM, the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (SAF2016-80481-R and SAF2016-76758-R) to PM and IV, the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECCCI- 2015) and Fero Foudation to CB, the Health Institute Carlos III (ISCIII/FEDER, PI17/01028 and PI17/01028) to CB and PJR, the NIHR GOSH BRC and Great Ormond...
