Raw data of research article "Impact of adding oocyte-secreted factors BMP15 and GDF9 to the IVM medium of prepubertal goat oocytes on cumulus-oocyte communication, EGF receptor and embryo developmental competence". The aim of this study was to assess the effect of adding two of the main OSFs, the BMP15 and GDF9, to IVM medium of prepubertal goat oocytes. Cumulus-oocyte complexes (COCs) were in vitro matured in absence (control group) or presence of 100 ng/mL of BMP15, GDF9, or both. To determine cumulus-oocyte communication, transzonal projections (TZP) density at 0h, 6h, 12h and 24h of IVM were evaluated. After IVM, the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression in oocytes and their cumulus cells, cumulus expansion, mitochondrial activity and intracellular ROS and glutathione (GSH) levels were assessed. Finally, cleavage and blastocyst rates after parthenogenetic activation (PA) and IVF, and blastocyst quality by cell count were assessed.

ESTUDIO DEL CONSUMO AUDIOVISUAL Y DE LOS HÁBITOS CULTURALES DEL PÚBLICO DE CINEMES GIRONA (BARCELONA)

  • Grau Rebollo, Jorge
  • Patraca Dibildox, Beatriz
  • Pulgar Corrotea, Miroslav
The dataset of this study refers to cultural consumption practices in an independent cinema in Barcelona, identifying two groups of viewers with different motivations, profiles and patterns of cultural consumption. We use both quantitative and qualitative techniques to collect 1,868 responses (1447 from the population related to the Girona Cinemas and 421 from another population), including a geospatial analysis of these responses, consumption networks, monitoring of social networks (8 cinemas and festivals and 12 prospectors and influencers) and two focus groups (the first,  with eight young people and the second with six professionals in the film and audiovisual field). The investigation period started in January 2023 and ended in December 2023. The data collected in the DATASET pertains exclusively to surveys administered online. The results allow us to identify an audience profile over 40 years of age that regularly attends the cinema and is informed through conventional media and social networks. We observe a marked difference by age group, although they coincide in valuing the technical aspect and the immersive experience. Additionally, our research reveals a profile not adequately represented in previous surveys of cultural participation and consumption in a context of accelerated change in media consumption. Overall, the different audience sectors mainly value the sensory experience of a movie theatre, which can be combined with other cultural activities. Despite this consensus, age groups are clearly differentiated in their cultural consumption patterns: "omnivorism", especially among young people, and "univorism" among older people.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: SIMULATION OF HEURISTICS FOR AUTOMATED GUIDED VEHICLE TASK SEQUENCING WITH RESOURCE SHARING AND DYNAMIC QUEUES

  • Fuentes León, Jonás
  • Mohammad Peyman
  • Xabier A. Martin
  • Angel A. Juan
Instances for the task sequencing problem analysed in the paper "Simulation of Heuristics for Automated Guided Vehicle Task Sequencing with Resource Sharing and Dynamic Queues". The instances were generated based on an industrial scenario at a manufacturing company in Spain but modified to protect the Company interests. The company operates a production facility equipped with several AGVs responsible for collecting and transporting products between designated plant locations. An instance is defined by the following factors: the number of workstations (m), the number of AGVs available (r), the number of tasks to be performed (t), the travel and processing times for each task, and the allocation of tasks to workstations (m) and AGVs (r). Two distinct instance types were considered for each workstation–AGV–task combination regarding processing time. The first type features processing times, derived from a uniform random distribution, tightly centered around an average value, resulting in instances with low variability in processing times (LVPT). In contrast, the second type showcases a broader range between minimum and maximum processing times, leading to instances with high variability in processing times (HVPT). Similarly, for assigning tasks to workstation–AGV combinations, two instance types were created. The first type ensures a balanced assignment, resulting in low variability in the task assignment (LVTA) to each workstation–AGV combination. Conversely, the second type introduces an unbalanced assignment, causing some workstation–AGV combinations to handle more work than others, thereby leading to high variability in task assignments (HVTAs). Combining these characteristics results in the following four distinct instance types for assessing the performance of the algorithms: (01) low variability in processing times and low variability in task assignment (LVPT/LVTA); (02) high variability in processing times and low variability in task assignment (HVPT/LVTA); (03) low variability in processing times and high variability in task assignment (LVPT/HVTA); and (04) high variability in processing times and task assignment (HVPT/HVTA). For example, the instance file named "m10r5t300_02.txt" contains 10 machines (m), 5 AGVs (r), and 300 tasks (t), and the variability type is (02) high variability in processing times and low variability in task assignment (HVPT/LVTA).

REPLICATION DATA FOR: RAW DATA FROM FECAL MICROBIOTA AND HAIR GLUCOCORTICOID CONCENTRATION SHOW ASSOCIATIONS WITH GROWTH DURING EARLY LIFE IN A PIG MODEL (PID2020-113604RB-I00 PROJECT).

  • Perez Hernandez, José Francisco
  • González-Solé, Francesc
Raw data from publication González-Solé et al. Nutrients 2022, 14, 4639. The aim of this study was to identify if a differential growth during lactation and/or the nursery period may be associated with fecal microbiota composition and fermentation capacity, as well as to leave a print of glucocorticoid biomarkers in the hair. The dataset provides these values collected in in extreme growth piglets at the end of the nursery period. 70 pigs with slow growth during lactation and 81 pigs with fast growth during lactation were weighed again at the end of nursery period (d62 of life). Then, pigs with slow growth during the nursery period from each subset and also pigs with fast growth during the nursery period were chosen, obtaining four groups as a factorial design. At the end of the nursery period (d63), fecal and hair samples were collected from the piglets included in the study to analyze cortisol and cortisone in hair, Short-Chain Fatty Acid, and 16S rRNA Gene Sequencing.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: EFFECT OF MIXING AT WEANING AND NUTRIENT DENSITY OF THE WEANER DIET ON GROWTH PERFORMANCE AND WELFARE OF PIGS TO SLAUGHTER (PID2020-113604RB-I00 PROJECT)

  • Perez Hernandez, José Francisco
  • González-Solé, Francesc
Raw data from González-Solé et al. Porcine Health Management (2023) 9:38 Mixing pigs at weaning can compromise pig welfare and growth. Therefore, grouping littermates together may allow a diet nutrient and energy density reduction during the nursery period to reduce feed cost without affecting slaughter weight. This study investigated the combined effect of mixing and reducing dietary energy and nutrient density on growth performance, body lesions (BL), and behaviour in pigs from weaning to slaughter. Two batches of 24 litters with a total of 264 and 288 piglets were weaned at 28 days of age. Pens were allocated to 4 treatments in a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement (Mixing x Diet, n = 12). For the mixing treatment, pigs were in groups of intact litters (LITTER) or mixed with unfamiliar pigs from other litters to reduce the within pen BW variation (MIXED). For diet, pens were allocated to a dietary regimen meeting the nutritional requirements of the pigs (CON) or a low-density regimen (LOW) with − 10% net energy (NE) and − 10% standard ileal digestible Lysine (SID Lys) of CON. Productive performance, animal behaviour measurements, and body lesion counts were registered during the growth of pigs.
