MedAfriCarbon radiocarbon database and web app are outcomes of theMedAfrica Project —Archaeological deep history and dynamics of Mediterranean Africa, ca. 9600-700 BC.The dataset presented here includes a collection of1584calibrated archaeological 14C dates from1587samples collected from368sites located in Mediterranean Africa (plus some additional dates whose published information is incomplete). The majority of the dates are linked to cultural and environmental variables, notably the presence/absence of different domestic/wild species and specific material culture.

LA MALADETA BROAD BAND MAGNETOTELLURICS (BBMT) DATA (AXIAL/SOUTH PYRENEAN ZONE)

  • Piña-Varas, Perla
This dataset contain the broad band magnetotelluric (BBMT) data collected in the limit between the Axial and the South Pyrenean Zones along two different surveys (2006 the southern part of the profile and in 2019, the northern one). The study is focused on understanding the geometry at depth of La Maladeta batholit and surrounding area, since fundamental questions remain unclear about the basement and cover architecture, the geometry at depth of significant bodies as the Late Variscan intrusive granites and/or Triassic evaporitic accumulations in this part of the Pyrenees.

[ENG] Complementary material to the article "More industrious and less austere than expected. Evidence from the inventories of agricultural workers in north-eastern Catalonia (1725-1807)". The aim of this work is to examine the levels of material consumption of the "treballadors" of Girona region, as well as the opportunities for improvement experienced by part of this social group during the second half of the 18th century. This is a single database (broken down into four tables) that summarises the extraction and pre-processing treatment of data (standardisation, categorisation and estimation) from a sample of 933 inventories of agricultural workers. The tables provided contain all the information used in the preparation of the article: the basic references of the 933 documents and personal data of the people inventoried, and the lists of properties (2,421), movable goods (67,326) and animals (1,449) inventoried.,
[CAT] Material complementari de l'article "More industrious and less austere than expected. Evidence from inventories of agricultural workers in north-eastern Catalonia (1725-1807)".

SUPPLEMENTAL DATA OF: IN RATS FED HIGH-ENERGY DIETS, TASTE –RATHER THAN FAT CONTENT– IS THE KEY FACTOR INCREASING FOOD INTAKE. COMPARISON OF A CAFETERIA AND A LIPID-SUPPLEMENTED STANDARD DIET

Background: Diet deeply affects the food selection and ingestion both in humans and rodents, often resulting in excess energy intake. Methods: We investigated this process comparing two different high-fat dietary approaches to induce obesity, in which all rats received about 40% of their energy intake as lipids. The main nutrient difference between the diets, when compared with controls fed standard lab chow, was the lipid content. Cafeteria diets (K) were devised to be tasty, and thus highly desirable to the rats, mainly for its diverse mix of tastes, particularly salty and sweet. This diet was compared with another high-fat (HF) potentially obesogenic diet, devised not to be as tasty as K, and prepared just supplementing standard chow pellets with fat. We also analysed the influence of sex on the effects of the diets. Results: K rats grew faster, especially the males, although females showed a higher proportion of body lipid, because of a high lipid, sugar and protein intake. HF weight change rates were not different from those of controls. In addition to high sugar, K rats also ingested large amounts of salt. With this study we have shown that the key factor eliciting the excess energy intake in a high-energy diet rat model was not solely or mainly their fat intake. The changes in body fat accrual were more a consequence of their appetence for the food. Conclusions: The results show that the significant presence of sugar and salt is a powerful factor promoting excess food intake, more effective than increasing diet lipid content. These effects were already observed after a relatively short treatment, additionally confirming the differential effects of sex on the hedonic and obesogenic response to diet.

REPLICATION DATA FOR PERCEIVED HRM (HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT) - HEALTH CENTERS

  • Mach, Merce
Data for analyzing the mediating role of organizational trust and work satisfaction in the relationship between HRM organizational practices and employees’ organizational citizenship behavior, as well as the moderating role of organizational justice. The study includes 339 employees working in healthcare centers in the Metropolitan Region of Chile (sample average age is 40 years; 64.6% are women; 56.2% of the employees had 6 or more years of professional experience). This study provides data from the Perceived HRM practices scale (Den Hartog et al., 2013), Organizational justice (Niehoff & Moorman, 1993), Organizational trust (Cook & Wall, 1980), Job satisfaction (Hackman & Oldham, 1975), and OCB (Kehoe & Wright, 2013) scales.
