SERS spectra of Al substrates with highly-ordered nanoconcavities of less than 100 nm. Each nanoconcavity is decorated with a single Au nanoparticle formed by sputtering and thermal annealing processes. These data refers to the detection of 4-MPY for different very low concentrations by using SERS with 785 nm laser with the various prepared substrates.

This dataset includes 8 files that compile the results of the study on solar drying of the microalgae Nannochloropsis oceanica and Tetraselmis chui, in the scope of ProFuture H2020 project. Competitive drying solutions are required to meet future demands for high‐quality algal biomass while ensuring proper preservation at reduced costs. Since often used drying methods, such as freeze or spray drying, are energy and time consuming, more sustainable processes remain to be developed. Three drying trials were done for each species (T1, T2 and T3 for T. chui; N1, N2, N3 for N. oceanica). A control was done with freeze drying (TFD and NFD, for T. chui and N. oceanica, respectively). This study tested an indirect and hybrid solar dryer as an alternative to conventional freeze drying of industrially produced Tetraselmis chui and Nannochloropsis oceanica wet paste. The dataset includes: drying characteristics; biomass weight during drying trials; proximate composition; pigment contents; fatty acid contents; mineral contents; microbiology; and functional properties. Industrial solar drying was found to be a sustainable technology with a high potential to preserve high‐quality microalgal biomass for various markets at expected lower costs.

The study explores if female Grapholita molesta moths can detect its own sex pheromone. The approach involves electroantennography (EAG), single -sensillum recordings (SSR), analyzed with non-linear dose-response and hierarchical cluster analysis. The excel file contains the data, the word file contains the R code. The data are from 3 different experiments. Experiment 1 is the electroantennographic (EAG) response of male and female Grapholita molesta adults to the female sex pheromone components, Z8-12:Ac and E8-12:Ac. Experiment 2 are single-sensillum recordings (SSR) of Z- and E-ORNs from males to the major and minor sex pheromone compounds of females. The EAG and SSR were analyzed with non-linear dose-response curves. In experiment 3, male and female ORNs were challenged with two doses of the major and minor female sex pheromone compounds, a plant volatile blend and the male-produced hairpencil courtship pheromone. The results of experiment 3 were analyzed with hierarchical cluster analysis. The R code is for descriptive statistics (means, and such), predictive statistics (GLMs and such) and graphs and in addition to the code there are indications for teh different steps, plus selected output .
