RECOMARES Cruise (29GD20200302) carried out on the Research Vessel García del Cid in 2020, Reconstruction of deep-sea communities in Iberian Continental Margins in the last decades / centuries- RECOMARES.Sampling will be carried out in a area between Barcelona, N of Mallorca and Columbretes Islands, with a further sampling Intense in the transect between Barcelona and the N of Mallorca (Sóller). On this area will be collected sediments for chronoecology analysis (OBJ1), biological samplings of demersal megafauna (fish and large invertebrates) and zooplankton (OBJ2) and will be taken on each station hydrographic data (with CTDs)

RADMED-ESMARES-0620 Cruise (29GD20200623) carried out on the Research Vessel García del Cid in 2020, The RADMED-ESMARES-0620 project has as its general objective the multidisciplinary monitoring of shelf waters and continental slope of the Spanish Mediterranean, including both the peninsular coastline as the Balearic Islands. The variables to follow are physical, chemical and biological, thereby seeking to study hydrographic conditions, communities planktonic, the seasonal cycles of these variables and their interannual variability. This Tracking allows us to implement our data banks, generate time series, establish ocean climatologies, study oscillations, trends, anomalies and their relationship with global warming and climate change. With these data we have accurate information of the marine environment, being able to advise administrations on the correct management of the effects of climate change

BOCA Cruise (29HE19920501) carried out on the Research Vessel Hespérides in 1992, Cortical differentiation in the Western Betic-Alboran Basin, BOCA. In May 1992, a test of the seismic source system of air cannons was carried out in the new Spanish oceanographic vessel BIO Hespérides, in which a set of 17 refraction seismic profiles was acquired in the Sea of Alborán The profiles, of an average length of 50 km, covered the sector more next to the coast between Malaga and the Line of the Conception according to different orientations. A set of 24 l total capacity cannons was used as a source, triggered every 40 s (approx 100m). The registration of these signals took out on land through 5 stations, whose location was changing up cover a total of 24 positions

HESANT Cruise (29HE19921214) carried out on the Research Vessel Hespérides in 1992, Tectonics and sedimentation in the South Shetland arc and Sheckleton fracture zone (HESANT). The objectives include geodynamic aspects linked to the tectonic evolution of plates in the continental margin of the Antarctic Peninsula, paleoceanographic studies related to global changes registered by the deposits and mechanisms of continental margin construction. Among the tectonic aspects, from the establishment of the structure, the detailed reconstruction of the plate kinematics is considered, while the paleoceanographic and paleoclimatic evolution has been approached from the identification of the diposicional processes and the analysis of the seismic stratigraphy. sequential, all in order to establish the factors that have influenced the development models of the basins and continental margins linked to the Antarctic Peninsula

BIOANTART Cruise (29HE19930119) carried out on the Research Vessel Hespérides in 1993, Dynamic oceanography and productivity of the Bransfield Strait during the austral summer. (BIOANTAR 93). 1) Characterize the different water masses of the Bransfield Strait 2) Study the distribution and variability of the water masses that occupy the Strait from their hydrographic characteristics 3) Analyze the generation and propagation of short surface waves and half period 4) Determine the three-dimensional structure of circulation due to the main regional hydrodynamic agents. 5) Study of the influence of water masses on the distribution of planktonic communities. 6) Study of the importance of the essential nutrients on the growth and metabolism of phytoplankton. 7) Study of the contribution of the different fractions of plankton to abundance and primary productivity. 8) Study of the variability in the importance of microheterotrophic processes during the succession in the trophic structure of ecosystems. 9) Determine the respiratory metabolism of Antarctic microplankton and its relationships with environmental conditions. 10) Study of metabolism (respiration, growth and excretion) of zooplankton and its contribution to the decline of phytoplankton bloom. 11) Preparation of a balance of total production, net community production, exported production and respiratory metabolism of plankton 12) Study of the importance of the Bransfield Strait as spawning area and fish breeding 13) Evaluate the net metabolism of the upper layers of the Antarctic ocean during the austral summer 14) Determine the balance between autotrophic and heterotrophic organisms 15) Study of the role of light as a factor limiting the growth of phytoplankton populations
