To compare the efficacy and safety of chondroitin sulfate plus glucosamine hydrochloride (CS+GH) versus celecoxib in patients with knee osteoarthritis and severe pain. Double-blind Multicentre Osteoarthritis interVEntion trial with SYSADOA (MOVES) conducted in France, Germany, Poland and Spain evaluating treatment with CS+GH versus celecoxib in 606 patients with Kellgren and Lawrence grades 2-3 knee osteoarthritis and moderate-to-severe pain (Western Ontario and McMaster osteoarthritis index (WOMAC) score ≥301; 0-500 scale). Patients were randomised to receive 400 mg CS plus 500 mg GH three times a day or 200 mg celecoxib every day for 6 months. The primary outcome was the mean decrease in WOMAC pain from baseline to 6 months. Secondary outcomes included WOMAC function and stiffness, visual analogue scale for pain, presence of joint swelling/effusion, rescue medication consumption, Outcome Measures in Rheumatology Clinical Trials and Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OMERACT-OARSI) criteria and EuroQoL-5D. The adjusted mean change (95% CI) in WOMAC pain was -185.7 (-200.3 to -171.1) (50.1% decrease) with CS+GH and -186.8 (-201.7 to -171.9) (50.2% decrease) with celecoxib, meeting the non-inferiority margin of -40: -1.11 (-22.0 to 19.8; p=0.92). All sensitivity analyses were consistent with that result. At 6 months, 79.7% of patients in the combination group and 79.2% in the celecoxib group fulfilled OMERACT-OARSI criteria. Both groups elicited a reduction >50% in the presence of joint swelling; a similar reduction was seen for effusion. No differences were observed for the other secondary outcomes. Adverse events were low and similarly distributed between groups. CS+GH has comparable efficacy to celecoxib in reducing pain, stiffness, functional limitation and joint swelling/effusion after 6 months in patients with painful knee osteoarthritis, with a good safety profile. Data was obtained in 2015 through the application of a questionnaire regarding risks and ex-ante control mechanisms (selección criterio and contract) for technology-based entrepreneurs attending one of the most important annual events for developers and designers in a Programming Language.
From the 400 participants at the annual event, our response rate reached 41 percent with 163 complete answers, although regarding only entrepreneurs the final sample is 29 percent (117 useful respondents).

FUNCTIONAL TRAIT CHANGES, PRODUCTIVITY SHIFTS AND VEGETATION STABILITY IN MOUNTAIN GRASSLANDS DURING A SHORT-TERM WARMING
- Debouk, Haifa
- de Bello, Francesco
- Sebastià, Ma. T.
Plant functional traits underlie vegetation responses to environmental changes such as global warming, and consequently influence ecosystem processes. While most of the existing studies focus on the effect of warming only on species diversity and productivity, we further investigated (i) how the structure of community plant functional traits in temperate grasslands respond to experimental warming, and (ii) whether species and functional diversity contribute to a greater stability of grasslands, in terms of vegetation composition and productivity. Intact vegetation turves were extracted from temperate subalpine grassland (highland) in the Eastern Pyrenees and transplanted into a warm continental, experimental site in Lleida, in Western Catalonia (lowland). The impacts of simulated warming on plant production and diversity, functional trait structure, and vegetation compositional stability were assessed. We observed an increase in biomass and a reduction in species and functional diversity under short-term warming. The functional structure of the grassland communities changed significantly, in terms of functional diversity and community-weighted means (CWM) for several traits. Acquisitive and fast-growing species with higher SLA, early flowering, erect growth habit, and rhizomatous strategy became dominant in the lowland. Productivity was significantly positively related to species, and to a lower extent, functional diversity, but productivity and stability after warming were more dependent on trait composition (CWM) than on diversity. The turves with more acquisitive species before warming changed less in composition after warming. Results suggest that (i) the short-term warming can lead to the dominance of acquisitive fast growing species over conservative species, thus reducing species richness, and (ii) the functional traits structure in grassland communities had a greater influence on the productivity and stability of the community under short-term warming, compared to diversity effects. In summary, short-term climate warming can greatly alter vegetation functional structure and its relation to productivity., Dades primàries associades a un article publicat a la revista Plos One disponible a l'adreça https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0141899

INDIAN ART MUSIC MELODIC SIMILARITY DATASET
- Serra, Xavier
- Gulati, Sankalp
Indian Art Music Melodic Similarity Dataset comprises audio excerpts and manually done annotations of the melodic phrases in Carnatic and Hindustani music. This dataset can be used to develop and evaluate approaches for computing melodic similarity between short-time melodic patterns in Indian art music. This dataset is divided into two parts, one for Carnatic music (CMD), and the other for Hindustani music (HMD). For more information about the dataset we refer to Chapter 3 of this thesis: http://hdl.handle.net/10803/398984.

STRUCTURE OF LEXICON IN THE AUTOMATIC ACQUISITION OF LEXICAL INFORMATION [RESEARCH DATA]
- Romeo, Lauren Michele
Research data from the thesis Structure of lexicon in the automatic acquisition of lexical information. MONO-DATASETS: contains files of the single-sense English data sets extracted for each lexical semantic class studied in the thesis (COMMUNICATION_OBJECT, EVENT, HUMAN, LOCATION and ORGANIZATION). Each data set contains a list of nouns and their class membership information; and (ii) LEXICO-SYNTACTIC-REs: contains files of the linguistic cues and corresponding lexical-syntactic patterns formalized as Regular Expressions for each of the single-sense English lexical semantic classes studied in this thesis (COMMUNICATION_OBJECT, EVENT, HUMAN, LOCATION and ORGANIZATION). This folder also contains a file of the unmarked contexts that were identified, as well as their corresponding lexical-syntactic patterns formalized as Regular Expressions.
