DIFFERENTIAL TREE GROWTH EXPLAINED BY SNP LOCI AND CLIMATE IN A CIRCUM-MEDITERRANEAN PINE

- Voltas, Jordi
Understanding the genetic basis of adaptation and plasticity in trees constitutes a knowledge gap. In this study we analysed 20-year tree-ring series of 130 trees, structured in 23 populations grown in a common garden experiment. We tested for genotype by environment interactions (G×E) of indexed ring width (RWI) and indexed early to latewood ratios (ELI) using factorial regression analyses, that describes G×E as differential gene sensitivity to climate. The data include raw tree-ring series, indexed ring-width and early to latewood ratio series, 20 SNPs, climate variables at site, populations sensitivity to particular climate factors, and climate at origin of populations.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: 'DO DEEPFAKES ADEQUATELY DISPLAY EMOTIONS? A STUDY ON DEEPFAKE FACIAL EMOTION EXPRESSION'
- García, Roberto
- López-Gil, Juan-Miguel
- Gil, Rosa
Recent technological advancements in Artificial Intelligence make it easy to create deepfakes, hyper-realistic videos in which images and video clips are processed to create fake videos that appear authentic. Many of them are based on swapping faces without the consent of the person whose appearance and voice are used. As emotions are inherent in human communication, studying how deepfakes transfer emotional expressions from original to fakes is relevant. In this work, we conduct an in-depth study on facial emotional expression in deepfakes using a well-known face swap-based deepfake database. First, we extracted the photograms from their videos. Then, we analyzed the emotional expression in both the original and the faked versions of the video recordings for all performers in the database. Results show that emotional expressions are not adequately transferred between original recordings and the deepfakes created from them. The high variability in emotions and performers detected between original and fake recordings indicates that performer emotion expressiveness should be considered for better deepfake generation or for detecting them.

UAV-LIDAR AND RGB IMAGERY REVEAL INTRASPECIFIC VARIABILITY OF MORPHOMETRIC TRAITS IN TWO MEDITERRANEAN PINES
- Lombardi, Erica
- Rodríguez Puerta, Francisco
- Santini, Filippo
- Chambel, Maria Regina
- Climent, Jose
- Resco de Dios, Víctor
- Voltas, Jordi
We evaluate the potential of LiDAR and RGB imagery obtained through unmanned aerial vehi-cles (UAVs) as high-throughput phenotyping tools for the characterization of tree growth and crown structure in two representative Mediterranean pine species (P. nigra and P. halepensis). Both UAV-based methods were then tested for their accuracy to detect genotypic differentiation among Pinus nigra and Pinus halepensis populations and their subspecies (black pine) or ecotypes (Aleppo pine). We investigated the possible relation between intraspecific variation of morphometric traits and life-history strategies of populations by correlating traits to climate factors at origin of pop-ulations. Finally, we investigated which traits distinguished better among black pine subspecies or Aleppo pine ecotypes.
The data included raw values of morphometric traits derived from LiDAR and RGB-UAVs and measured in situ, populations means of statistically relevant morphometric traits and climate variables at site, and subspecies (P. nigra) and ecotypes (P. halepensis) means of statistically significant morphometric traits.

DATA OF A STUDY OF SEX PHEROMONE DETECTION BY FEMALES OF THE ORIENTAL FRUIT MOTH, GRAPHOLITA MOLESTA
- Gemeno Marín, César
- Perez-Aparicio, Alicia
- Ammagarahalli, Byrappa
The study explores if female Grapholita molesta moths can detect its own sex pheromone. The approach involves electroantennography (EAG), single -sensillum recordings (SSR), analyzed with non-linear dose-response and hierarchical cluster analysis.
The excel file contains the data, the word file contains the R code. The data are from 3 different experiments. Experiment 1 is the electroantennographic (EAG) response of male and female Grapholita molesta adults to the female sex pheromone components, Z8-12:Ac and E8-12:Ac. Experiment 2 are single-sensillum recordings (SSR) of Z- and E-ORNs from males to the major and minor sex pheromone compounds of females. The EAG and SSR were analyzed with non-linear dose-response curves. In experiment 3, male and female ORNs were challenged with two doses of the major and minor female sex pheromone compounds, a plant volatile blend and the male-produced hairpencil courtship pheromone. The results of experiment 3 were analyzed with hierarchical cluster analysis.
The R code is for descriptive statistics (means, and such), predictive statistics (GLMs and such) and graphs and in addition to the code there are indications for teh different steps, plus selected output .
