Data from a retrospective cohort that included individuals aged 50–69 years who participated in colorectal cancer (CRC) screening in Barcelona from 2010 to 2015, and were followed until 2017 to identify interval CRCs. The positivity rate, and detection rates for advanced polyps and CRC were compared according to ambient temperature, humidity, and quarters of the year. A positive FIT was defined as the detection of ≥20 μg Hb/g in feces. The monthly ambient temperature and humidity were recorded on the day that the FIT was performed. In total, 92.273 FIT results from 53.860 participants were analyzed.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: EFFECT OF MIXING AT WEANING AND NUTRIENT DENSITY OF THE WEANER DIET ON GROWTH PERFORMANCE AND WELFARE OF PIGS TO SLAUGHTER (PID2020-113604RB-I00 PROJECT)

  • Perez Hernandez, José Francisco
  • González-Solé, Francesc
Raw data from González-Solé et al. Porcine Health Management (2023) 9:38 Mixing pigs at weaning can compromise pig welfare and growth. Therefore, grouping littermates together may allow a diet nutrient and energy density reduction during the nursery period to reduce feed cost without affecting slaughter weight. This study investigated the combined effect of mixing and reducing dietary energy and nutrient density on growth performance, body lesions (BL), and behaviour in pigs from weaning to slaughter. Two batches of 24 litters with a total of 264 and 288 piglets were weaned at 28 days of age. Pens were allocated to 4 treatments in a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement (Mixing x Diet, n = 12). For the mixing treatment, pigs were in groups of intact litters (LITTER) or mixed with unfamiliar pigs from other litters to reduce the within pen BW variation (MIXED). For diet, pens were allocated to a dietary regimen meeting the nutritional requirements of the pigs (CON) or a low-density regimen (LOW) with − 10% net energy (NE) and − 10% standard ileal digestible Lysine (SID Lys) of CON. Productive performance, animal behaviour measurements, and body lesion counts were registered during the growth of pigs.

This project shows us how we can identify the products of knapping from left and right-handed knappers in Pleistocene assemblages. 1) Design the methodology how to identify the technical features of the flakes knapped by right-handed and left handed knappers. 2) Define a methodology to identify the dispersal patterns of items during the process of knapping. 3) Apply these new methodologies to the archaeological record of Abric Romani and Gran Dolina, Atapuerca.

WOMEN AND MEN IN THE AUTHORSHIP OF ARCHAEOLOGY PUBLICATIONS IN SPAIN (1970-2020). DATABASE

  • Mateo Corredor, Daniel
  • Pastor Quiles, María
This database corresponds to the study of authorship of men and women of the research contributions published in a selection of ten Spanish Archaeology journals over the last half century. In this paper the percentage of representation of women in these high-ranking journals and its evolution during this period is analysed. It is also addressed if there are differences in the proportion of female and male authors according to single and multiple authorships, in signature positions and whether the sex/gender of the first authorship has any influence in the rest. Besides, the study tackles the subject of these contributions and also in accordance with sex/gender of the authorship. The results obtained bring to light that despite the incorporation of women in Archaeology university studies and the profession during the last 50 years, men continue to be authors of the majority of the works published in these journals. This study shows that the low proportion of female authors has been sustained over time without observing a progression to an increasing representation of women as authors of these publications.,
