The dataset contains atmospheric backscatter coefficient profiles, obtained daily between 2015 and 2018 at 00:00 and 12:00 UTC from the Micro Pulse Lidar (MPL) of the 'Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya' (UPC).

Aquestes dades han estat preses amb diferents sensors instal·lats al terrat de la facultat de Física de la UB. Es tracten de temperatures, pressions, humitats relatives, irradiàncies i velocitats del vent. Les dades han estat mesurades cada deu minuts i estan separades per mesos en diferents fitxers. Al fitxer 'Guia' s'hi troba una curta descripció de cada dada.

This project shows the results obtain in commercial archaeology realized in Codony site (Tarragona) during the construction works of the AVE.

The dataset includes several files corresponding to the point clouds monitoring of Degotalls cliff during the period 2007-2020, one example of the Point Cloud Monitoring process (7 files), clusters for training and predictive stages with Cluster Classification and Results in Excel format. The 3D Point cloud was captured with Terrestrial Laser Scanner ILRIS-3D Optech Co.

This dataset includes a 3D Point Cloud from Degotalls Cliff in Montserrat Massif (Barcelona, Spain). The 3D Point Cloud is collected with Terrestrial Laser Scanner in Degotalls N and Degotalls E (South and North section), from 2007 until 2020.

Twelve pollen-inferred aridity major and minor events (S1 to S12) have been identified at Salines playa lake (SE Iberian Peninsula, 475 m asl, 38° 30′ 02″ N 00° 53′ 18″ W) from the Lateglacial to the Early Holocene (Boreal). These dry events consist of an increase in the aridity quotient calculated as a function of selected pollen taxa at 13.4, 13, 12.55, 12.2, 11.9, 11.45, 11, 10.6, 10.3, 10, 9.5 and 8.3 ka cal BP. These dry events correspond to the previous identified cold spells such as the Younger Dryas, as well as the 8, 7, 6 and 5 Bond events, and 11.4 and 9.3 events. This climate record highlights the complex glacial-interglacial transition in extra-tropical latitudes, with centennial-scale abrupt climate fluctuations, a signature scarcely recorded in other palaeoecological records of the SE Iberian Peninsula. This work has major implications for the study of human socio-ecological systems and resilience in SE Iberia during the Epipaleolithic and Mesolithic periods.

This dataset contains large eddy simulation (LES) results of the flow past the 30P30N three-element high-lift wing at a moderate Reynolds number Rec = 750,000 (based on the nested chord) for three angles of attack: AoA = 5º, 9º and 23º. Simulations were performed using Alya, a finite-element (FE) CFD code developed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). The data primarily focuses on time-averaged turbulence statistics such as skin friction and pressure coefficient distributions, shear layer development in the slat and main coves, and Reynolds stress profiles and boundary layer development along the wing suction sides. This dataset provides valuable insights into the aerodynamic behavior of high-lift wing configurations, making it useful for future validation of CFD codes, turbulence modeling, numerical methods or aerodynamic optimization studies, among other applications.

The aim was to assess the impact of the enumeration agar (non-selective or selective agar) on High pressure processing (HPP)  inactivation of L. monocytogenes, Salmonella spp. and E. coli in banana–apple and apple purees pressurized at 300 MPa for 2 min. Additionally, the HPP inactivation and sublethal injury was quantified in apple puree, considering the impact of acid exposure (24 h before HPP) and sampling time (immediately or 24h after HPP). Inactivation was computed as the logarithm of the ratio between cell counts of samples after HPP, AE and AEHPP treatments (N), and samples were enumerated just after the inoculation (N0). Sublethal injury was estimated as the difference between log counts on TSAYE (T) and TSAYE + 4% NaCl (TS), which is equivalent to the logarithm of the ratio between the cell counts on T and TS.

The aim was to evaluate the effect of pH and temperature on the stability of TAs, as possible parameters in thermal processing to mitigate this chemical hazard in cereal-based infant food. The effect of pH (4 and 7) and temperature (80 ◦C and 100 ◦C) was assessed in buffer solutions. Also, treatment at 180 ◦C was performed in spiked and naturally incurred millet flour to assess the effect of high temperature, simulating cooking or drying, on the stability of TAs in the cereal matrix. The fate of 24 TAs was assessed by UHPLC-MS/MS. The percentage of degradation was calculated by subtracting the initial concentration (not heat-treated) from the final concentration after treatment.

We present two databases of the δ13C and δ15N values of 50 faunal remains from the Vila de Madrid necropolis (Barcelona, Catalonia), which include amphibian, Bos taurus, Canis familiaris, Capra hircus, Equus caballus, Gallus gallus, Lepus granatensis, Oryctolagus cuniculus, Ovis aries, Sus domesticus, Vulpes vulpes and 41 humans bones classified as adult, infant I, infant II, newborn and young adult.
