Material suplementario artículo titulado: ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND SUSTAINABLE BEHAVIORS OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS: VALIDATION OF THE HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS TOOL (HEAT), Background
Climate change poses a significant challenge to public health, requiring healthcare personnel to recognize their responsibility and adopt environmentally responsible behaviors. The aim of this study was to conduct a cultural adaptation and psychometric validation of the Healthcare Environmental Awareness Tool (HEAT) to assess the level of environmental awareness, sustainable behaviors, and their relationship to healthcare professionals' health in Spain.
Methods
A cross-sectional observational study was conducted to translate, adapt, and validate the HEAT questionnaire for the Spanish context. The sample comprised 450 healthcare professionals from 9 Spanish hospitals. The HEAT questionnaire was validated using item response theory, specifically through the polytomous Rasch model. It is organized into three main scales: HAS (Healthcare Awareness Scale), HPEB (Healthcare Professional Ecological Behavior Scale), and PEB (Personal Ecological Behavior Scale). Each scale includes two dimensions per item derived from paired questions. The first dimension addresses the specific topic of the scale, while the second focuses on the respondent’s belief about how environmental impacts affect human health.
Results
The HEAT questionnaire, initially comprising 62 items, was refined to a final version of 50 items. This version demonstrated robust reliability and validity, with satisfactory fit for both items and persons. Reliability indices were: HAS-1 (0.76 for persons, 0.98 for items), HAS-2 (0.82, 0.96), HPEB-1 (0.77, 0.99), HPEB-2 (0.79, 0.94), PEB-1 (0.83, 0.99), and PEB-2 (0.87, 0.97). Internal consistency, measured using Cronbach’s α and McDonald’s ω, yielded strong results: HAS-1 (0.79), HAS-2 (0.90), HPEB-1 (0.75), HPEB-2 (0.87), PEB-1 (0.81), and PEB-2 (0.92). No significant group differences were observed, confirming the instrument’s fairness in differential item analysis.
Conclusions
The HEAT questionnaire is a useful and accurate tool for measuring environmental awareness, sustainable behaviors, and perceived health impacts among healthcare professionals., Ninguno

DATASET_DYNAMICS_DEMANDS_RESOURCES_FATIGUE
- Pulido-Martos, Manuel
- López-Zafra, Esther
- Cortés-Denia, Daniel
Fatigue can lead to negative workplace consequences. Within a job demands-resources framework, this study examines: (a) latent profiles of job demands and job and personal resources, (b) associated fatigue levels, (c) profile stability over time, and (d) how job-crafting and self-undermining influence profile membership and transitions, impacting fatigue. Data was collected from Spanish employees at two time points (T1, n = 749; T2, n = 228) and analyzed using latent profile and latent transition approaches. Results revealed three stable profiles: (1) limited leadership resources and moderate workload, (2) moderate resources and moderate workload, and (3) high resources and moderate-high workload, with the latter showing lowest fatigue levels. Job-crafting predicted both maintenance of favorable profiles and transitions toward high-resource profiles. Self-undermining showed no significant effects. Findings highlight job crafting’s importance in maintaining beneficial resource-demand profiles that prevent workplace fatigue, suggesting organizations should promote job-crafting behaviors as effective fatigue management strategies., This research was supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation under project PID2020-116521RB-I00, funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033

PROYECTO FRUSTRACIÓN PID2021-123338NB-I00. EXPERIMENTO 3
- Torres, Carmen
- Valero, Marta
Archivos del disño experimental y procedimiento, datos conductuales (Excel, SPSS), Frustrative nonreward (FNR) is a reaction associated with the sudden and unexpected loss of significant sources of reinforcement: the death of a loved one, job dismissal, heartbreak, or restrictions associated with health crises, among others. These experiences can profoundly impact physical and mental well-being. Although the scientific study of frustration using animal models provides abundant information on its psychobiological bases, there remains a gap in knowledge regarding (a) the existence of sex differences in the expression and resolution of frustration derived from loss experiences; (b) its components, including reward detection, comparison, aversion, emotion, and recovery; and (c) the underlying brain circuits involved. This presentation will address some of these issues using the frustration paradigm of consummatory successive negative contrast (cSNC) in rats. The task entails providing animals with daily access to a highly reinforcing sucrose solution (typically 32%), which is then abruptly reduced to 2% over four sessions. Consumption by this group is compared with that of a control group that consistently has access to the 2% solution. The cSNC effect refers to the decrease in consumption of the 2% solution in the experimental group (previously exposed to the sweeter 32% solution) to levels below those of the control group (always exposed to the less sweet 2% solution), despite both solutions being identical in magnitude. The presentation will include studies examining sex differences and the role of aversion in the cSNC task, as well as preliminary findings identifying its neural basis., Agencia Española de Investigación.
