Virtual learning environments are growing in importance as fast as e-learning, which is becoming highly demanded by universities and students worldwide. We have investigated how to automatically evaluate User eXperience in this domain using sentiment analysis techniques. For this purpose, the UX-comments corpus has been built with the opinions of 583 users (107 English speakers and 476 Spanish speakers) about three learning management systems in different courses. All the collected opinions were manually labeled with polarity information (P=positive, N=negative, or NEU=neutral) by three human annotators, both at the whole opinion and sentence levels. Dataset Information P NEU N Total Spanish Observations 338 53 85 476 Spanish Sentences 404 41 142 587 English Observations 56 21 30 107 English Sentences 90 14 80 184, Special thanks to the following biomedical organizations: Fundación IVI and Medigene Press S.L.; both have provided data from their Master and Posgraduate Courses through the academic stay research of Rosario Sanchis-Font, during 2017 and 2018. Many thanks to Carlos Turró-Ribalta and Ignacio Despujol-Zabala for supporting this research with data from UPV MOOCs.

Hybrid TiO2-WO3 nanostructures has been synthesized by electrochemical anodization under controlled hydrodynamic conditions followed by electrodeposition in the presence of different contents of Na2WO4 (5, 15 and 25 mM) and H2O2 (20, 30 and 40 mM). The influence of the electrolyte used for electrodeposition on the morphology, crystalline structure and photoelectrochemical response for water splitting has been evaluated through Field Emission Electronic Microscopy, High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy, Confocal Raman Spectroscopy, Grazing Incidence X Ray Diffraction and photocurrent versus potential measurements.

[EN] Social media platforms have had a significant impact on the public image of sports in recent years. Through the relational dynamics of the communication on these networks, many users have emerged whose opinions can exert a great deal of influence on public conversation online. This research aims to identify the influential Twitter users during the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships using different variables which, in turn, represent different dimensions of influence (popularity, activity and authority). Mathematical variables of the social network analysis and variables provided by Twitter and Google are compared. As a result, no single variable assessed is sufficient to identify the different kinds of influential Twitter users. Having a certain type of account is not enough to make a user an influencer if they do not engage (actively or passively) in the conversation. Choosing some influencers or others will depend on the objectives pursued.

[EN] Microplastics and nanoplastics have arisen as contaminants of emerging concern due to the wide use of plastics, and the application of boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrodes for their removal is promising. In this study, we report the influence of BDD doping levels (500, 2500, and 10000 ppm B doping) on the electrooxidation of polystyrene nanoplastics (100 nm, 20 mg⋅L-1). Different current densities (50, 25, 12.5, and 5 mA⋅cm-2) have been applied to determine the best electrolysis conditions for each electrode type. In addition, hydroxyl radical (•OH), persulphate (S2O82-), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) reactive species have been determined to understand the influence of the species generated on the degradation of NPs. BDD500 electrode presents the fastest degradation of PS NPs at low current densities (12.5 and 5 mA⋅cm-2), BDD2500 at 25 mA⋅cm-2, and BDD10000 at 50 mA⋅cm-2. Among oxidative species determined, S2O82- is the one generated with the highest concentration and seems to command the degradation of PS NPs, since at 25, 12.5, and 5 mA⋅cm-2, the electrodes that produce more S2O82- degrade faster PS NPs. At 50 mA⋅cm-2, the differences between the different electrodes were minimal. The highest mineralization (as measured by non-purgeable organic carbon measurements) was obtained for BDD500 at 50, 25, and 12.5 mA⋅cm-2, and BDD2500 at 5 mA⋅cm-2., This research is part of the Spanish R +D +i contract TED2021-130905B-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR as well as the Red E3Tech Plus: Proyecto Redes de Investigación de la AEI Network E3Tech PLUS (RED2022-134552-T) project. As aquaculture expands, replacing fishmeal with alternative proteins in low-trophic species such as Chelon labrosus is critical for sustainability. We evaluated growth performance over 153 days and nutrient digestibility of three isoproteic diets: a fully plant-based diet (V), a plant–animal blend without fishmeal (VA), and a control with 20% fishmeal (FM). Fish fed the V diet achieved the highest growth and feed efficiency, followed by FM, whereas VA resulted in poor performance and the lowest digestibility, likely linked to hemoglobin meal reducing feed acceptability. All diets significantly shifted intestinal microbial diversity from initial conditions, while dominant taxa remained largely stable. FM-fed fish showed a general decrease in bacterial abundance, including a marked reduction of Brevinema. The VA diet increased Vibrio and decreased Lactobacillus, suggesting compromised gut health. In contrast, V-fed fish displayed elevated Mycoplasma, a taxon previously associated with nutrient exchange and fiber digestion. Functional predictions indicated fewer metabolic alterations under plant-based diets, while FM induced the largest number of altered pathways. Overall, complete fishmeal replacement is feasible in C. labrosus, and diet–microbiome interactions are pivotal to optimizing sustainable mullet aquaculture., Ministerio de ciencia e investigación. Multiple myeloma is a hematologic neoplasm caused by an uncontrolled clonal proliferation of neoplastic plasma cells (nPCs) in the bone marrow. The development and survival of this disease is tightly related to the bone marrow environment. Proliferation and viability of nPCs depend on their interaction with the stromal cells and the extracellular matrix components, which also influences the appearance of drug resistance. Recapitulating these interactions in an in vitro culture requires 3D environments that incorporate the biomolecules of interest. In this work, we studied the proliferation and viability of three multiple myeloma cell lines in a microgel consisting of biostable microspheres with fibronectin (FN) on their surfaces. We also showed that the interaction of the RPMI8226 cell line with FN induced cell arrest in the G0/G1 cell cycle phase. RPMI8226 cells developed a significant resistance to dexamethasone, which was reduced when they were treated with dexamethasone and bortezomib in combination., CIBER-BBN is an initiative funded by the VI National R&D&I Plan 2008–2011, Iniciativa Ingenio 2010, and Consolider Program.
