C:N:P IN DINOFLAGELLATES [DATASET]
- Carnicer Castaño, Olga
- Irwin, Andrew J.
- Finkel, Zoe V.
Data on C:N:P of lab-cultured marine dinoflagellates were identified by searching in the ISI Web of Science using keywords such as elemental composition, elemental stoichiometry, elemental ratios, C:N, C:P or C:N combined with the word dinoflagellate. These studies and suitable studies cited within these sources were evaluated for data collection. Experimental conditions were recorded along with the elemental composition data including culturing methods, the media used, culture temperature and salinity. Cell volume and growth rate data were collected when available. Species were then assigned the following traits: 1. thecate or athecate; 2. non-toxic or the potential to produce C-rich or N-rich toxins; and 3. small, medium or large cell volume.

DATASET COLLECTED BY THE S-NAUTILUS PROFILER AT "LA ISLETA" YACHT CLUB IN THE MAR MENOR [DATASET]
- Morales Aragón, Isabel Pilar
- Torres Sánchez, Roque
- Gilabert Cervera, Francisco Javier Lucas
- Soto Vallés, Fulgencio
This dataset presents a collection of environmental measurements taken by the s-Nautilus profiler at "La Isleta" yacht club in the Mar Menor. The recorded variables include:
-Time (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss): The timestamp indicating the date and time of each measurement.
-Depth (m): The depth at which the measurements were taken.
-Dissolved Oxygen (DO) : The concentration of dissolved oxygen, essential for assessing water quality and the health of the marine ecosystem.
-Electrical Conductivity (EC): A parameter indicating the ability of the water to conduct electricity, directly related to salinity and the presence of ions.
-Temperature (T) (ºC): The water temperature, a critical factor influencing many chemical and biological processes.
-Battery Voltage (Batt3): The voltage of the batteries powering the electronics of the profiler, providing insight into its autonomy.
Measurements were taken every 6 hours during the ascent of the profiler.

SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS OF "REVIEW ON ANALYTICAL AND SEMI-ANALYTICAL STUDIES ADDRESSING STEADY-STATE GROUNDWATER FLOW INTO OPEN EXCAVATIONS BENEATH THIN RETAINING STRUCTURES (COFFERDAMS)"
- Alhama Manteca, Iván
- Navarro Carrasco, Salvador
- Jiménez Valera, José Antonio
Table S1 compiles the principal analytical and semi-analytical studies addressing steady-state groundwater flow into open excavations beneath thin retaining structures (cofferdams). This synthesis is intended to place the present work within its historical and methodological context and to make explicit the gap that motivates it.
Studies are listed in chronological order; where a contribution is known mainly through a later compilation, both the original work and the source in which it was reported are indicated.
For each study, the table summarizes the reference, the cofferdam geometry considered, the methodology adopted (analytical, analogue, or numerically verified), and its main contribution. Four descriptors then indicate whether the formulation accounts for the excavation, for anisotropy of the hydraulic conductivity, and for a layered (heterogeneous) soil profile, and whether the flow domain is treated as bounded laterally and at depth; a final column reports the form in which the results are presented (mathematical expression, design curves, or tables). As the table shows, only a small number of works consider layered media, and none simultaneously incorporate layering and anisotropy under a bounded-domain assumption—precisely the configuration addressed in this study.

Measurements of the water surface elevation were taken close to the wavemaker, along the sloping foreshore and at the dike toe location by resistance type wave gauges. The overtopping flow properties thickness and velocity were measured by ultra-sonic distance sensors and high-speed cameras. Due to its large storage size, the whole set of data is provided on request., The experimental data refer to physical model tests carried out in 2019 from May to December at the wave flume CIEMito of the Maritime Engineering Laboratory (LIM) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC). The experiments aimed at characterizing the flow characteristics associated to the maximum individual overtopping volumes, due to specific storm events with different return periods. Specifically, the experiments focused on the measurements of overtopping volumes and discharges, in order to find the relation between these parameters with the corresponding overtopping flow velocities and overtopping flow depth, when the maximum overtopping event occurs on a dike during a sea state. A model geometry comprised of a sloping beach, a sloping dike and promenade was built into the CIEMito flume., 1

PREDICTING INSTRUMENTAL MASS FRACTIONATION (IMF) OF STABLE ISOTOPE SIMS ANALYSES BY RESPONSE SURFACE METHODOLOGY (RSM) [DATASET]
- Parcerisa Duocastella, David
- Rossell Garriga, Josep Maria
- Fàbrega Alsina, Carles
- Gurenko, Andrey
- Franke, Christine
The dataset contains four files. File S1 corresponds to cathodoluminescence and BSE images of standard minerals. File S2 contains geochemical data of mineral standards ans samples obtained by SIMS and EPMA. File S3 contains the parameters used to obtain response surface models of IMF in mineral standards. File S4 is a response surface methodology tutorial., Instrumental mass fractionation (IMF) of isotopic SIMS analyses (Cameca 1280HR, CRPG Nancy) was predicted by response surface methodology (RSM) for 18O/16O determinations of plagioclase, K-feldspar and quartz. The three predictive response surface models combined instrumental and compositional inputs. The instrumental parameters were: (i) X and Y position, (ii) LT1DefX and LT1DefY electrostatic deflectors, (iii) chamber pressure and, (iv) primary-ion beam intensity. The compositional inputs included: (i) anorthite content (An%) for the plagioclase model and, (ii) orthoclase (Or%) and barium (BaO%) contents for the K-feldspar model. The three models reached high predictive powers. The coefficients R2 and prediction-R2 were, respectively, 90.47% and 86.74% for plagioclase, 87.56% and 83.17% for K-feldspar and 94.29% and 91.59% for quartz. The results show that RSM can be confidently applied to IMF prediction in stable isotope SIMS analyses by the use of instrumental and compositional variables., 1
