DATASET: ALIMENTACIÓN CONSCIENTE Y EFECTO SOBRE EL CONSUMO DE ALIMENTOS EN LA INFANCIA.
- De Lara Pérez, Beatriz
- Delgado-Ríos, Myriam
- García-de-Castro, Fernando Javier

The purpose of this study was to research the effect of a stretching program on hamstring
flexibility in schoolchildren from Primary Education.
Methods. For practical reasons and the nature of the present study (i.e. intervention
focused on natural groups in a school setting) a cluster-randomized controlled design was
used. Balanced by school and grades, natural classes were assigned randomly to form one of
the following study groups: warm-up group (WUG), cool-down group (CDG), mix group
(MXG) and non-stretching group (NSG).
A total of 222 children from Primary Education (117 girls and 105 boys; average age: 8.82
±1.63 years; weight: 36.89 ±10.69 kg; height: 137.18 ±11.13 cm; BMI: 19.26 ±3.54)
A total of 289 from Primary Education, average age: 9.5 years; weight: 37.1 ±10.8 Kg; height:
137.2 ±11.1 were divided into four groups (3 experimental groups and 1 control group). The
3 experimental groups performed hamstring stretches for 4 minutes during each Physical
Education class over a two-month period, 2 sessions per week (8 weeks, for a total of 16 PE
sessions), with a stretch duration of 20 seconds, utilizing the static passive technique. The
EG1 performed the stretching exercises during warm-up (4 minutes), the EG2 performed the
stretching exercises during cool-down (4 minutes) and finally the EG3 performed the
stretching exercises during warm-up (2 minutes) and cool-down (2 minutes) period. The
control group followed the standard class program of PE classes. Hamstring flexibility was
measured using the BS-SR test before and after the program. The statistical significance
level was set at p < 0.05. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS version 25.0 for
Windows (IBM® SPSS® Statistics).
Conclusion. The CDG that performed stretching in the cool down period is the one that
achieved significant improvements ccompared with the WUG, MXG, and NSG (p ≤ 0.01; d =
0.50-0.71).

DATASET FOR: UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE OF EMOTION REGULATION STRATEGIES IN CYBERVICTIMIZATION AND CYBERAGGRESSION OVER TIME: IT IS BASICALLY YOUR FAULT

Adolescents involved in experiences of cybervictimization and cyberbullying are
at increased risk of psychological maladjustment and ill-being. However, not all
adolescents involved in cyberbullying roles experience similar consequences and
cognitive emotion regulation (CER) might be a key factor. Despite growing interest in the
role CER strategies play in cyberbullying behaviours, little is known about the predictive
utility of these strategies in predicting cybervictimization and cyberbullying over time.
Therefore, the aim of this prospective study was to test the incremental predictive
validity of specific CER strategies in cybervictimization and cyberbullying in a sample
of adolescents. To this end, data were collected in two waves four months apart from
a sample of 841 adolescents (466 females) aged 12 to 18 (MageT1 = 13.77, SDT1 = 1.34;
MageT2 = 13.71, SDT2 = 1.31). Participants filled out a set of questionnaires measuring
cybervictimization, cyberbullying, and CER strategies. Main results showed blaming
others as the unique strategy showing incremental predictive value to both
cybervictimization and cyberbullying four months later, above and beyond previous
cybervictimization and cyberbullying experiences. Overall, the results highlighted the
need to account for CER strategies, such as blaming others, in relation to the potential
initiation and development of cyberbullying and cybervictimization behaviours. These
findings suggest possible future avenues for intervention efforts targeting the
maintenance of online aggressive behaviours and victimization across time., Proyecto I+D+i del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación de España (PID2020-117006RB-I00)

Mauerer, I. & Tutz, G. (2023). "Replication Data for: Vote Choices and Valence: Intercepts and Alternate Specifications", Harvard Dataverse, V1. https://doi.org/10.7910/DVN/SKWTGS, Valence is a crucial concept in studying spatial voting and party competition. The widely adopted approach is to rely on intercepts of vote choice models and to infer, based on their size and direction, how valence affects party strategies in empirical settings. The approach suffers from fundamental statistical flaws. This contribution provides the statistical fundamentals to advance the empirical modeling of valence. It proposes an appropriate modeling approach to interpret intercepts as valences and alternate specifications to parametrize the effects of valence., EMERGIA, Junta de Andalucia

College students, particularly those in healthcare fields, face an elevated risk of suicidal ideation and depression. Therefore, it is essential to explore how both actual and perceived emotional resources may play a role in suicide prevention within this age group. This study examined (1) whether actual self-focused emotion-regulation ability diminishes suicidal ideation through a decrease in depressive symptoms, and (2) whether perceived self-emotion appraisal moderates this relationship. In 312 healthcare students (209 women) actual self- focused emotion-regulation ability was negatively related to suicidal ideation through depressive symptoms. Furthermore, perceived self-emotion appraisal buffered the relation- ship between depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation. Findings suggest that perceived self-emotion appraisal may reinforce the adaptiveness of actual self-focused emotion-regulation ability as a protective factor for psychological maladjustment. The results indicate the collaborative ability to regulate one’s emotions coupled with the self-perception of emotion appraisal could effectively alleviate the potential progression of emotional difficulties among healthcare students., Proyecto I+D+i del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación de España (PID2020-117006RB-I00)

EEG DATASET FOR THE REMOVAL OF PERIODIC EXTRINSIC ARTIFACTS
- Guillén-Jiménez, Sergio

- Barbancho-Pérez, Ana María
- Barbancho-Pérez, Isabel
This dataset contains EEG recordings affected by a periodic, extrinsic square‑wave artifact caused by the unintended activation of a hardware test function during acquisition. The dataset has been curated to support the evaluation and development of EEG artifact removal methods.
Both raw (artifact-contaminated) and cleaned EEG data are provided, enabling direct comparison between corrupted and corrected signals.
The dataset can be downloaded from the following link:
http://u.uma.es/hQr/EEG_extrinsic_artifact_dataset/, This repository provides an EEG dataset for the removal of periodic extrinsic square-wave artifacts.
The EEG data were recorded at a sampling rate of 2500 Hz using an actiCHamp-Plus amplifier and a 64-channel BrainVision actiCAP system (Brain Products). The recordings are inadvertently contaminated by a self-induced, experiment-related artifact caused by the unintended activation of a built-in hardware “test function” in the BrainVision Recorder software, resulting in a square-like signal at 1 Hz with an amplitude of approximately 200 µVpp superimposed on the EEG signals.
Both corrupted and cleaned EEG signals are provided to support the evaluation and development of artifact removal methods., MICIU/AEI, FEDER, UE
