Development and characterization of cannabinoid-loaded receptor-targeted nanoparticles, dual-functionalized with fluorophore probes. The data collects the analysis of the physicochemical properties of the nanoparticles, their capacity to target and exert cytotoxic activity on tumor cells based on their surface modification with transferrin, and the analysis of their cell internalization and subsequent tracking within the cell, monitoring both the nanoparticle core and the encapsulated cargo. The data were generated within the Proyecto de Excelencia de la Junta de Andalucía No. P09-CTS5029, and the aid of a postdoctoral fellowship Contrato Puente Postdoctoral (USE-12003-C) from the V Plan Propio de Investigación of the Vicerrectorado de Investigación from the Universidad de Sevilla., A single Excel file with each sheet collecting the data corresponding to a figure or table: -Table 1: data corresponding to manuscript Table 1 on the physicochemical characterization of the formulations -Figure 2: data corresponding to manuscript Figure 2 displaying the drug release profile of the formulations -Figure 3: data corresponding to manuscript Figure 3 displaying the cell viability results after incubation with the formulations for 2h, 24h and 48h -Figure 4: data corresponding to manuscript Figure 4 displaying the % of fluorescence recovered from the nanoparticle core (FITC signal) and the encapsulated cargo (NR and Rh signal) for either plain and transferrin-modified nanoparticles, with or without the use of endocytosis specific inhibitors. -Figure 5: data corresponding to manuscript Figure 5 b and c, providing quantitative data of nanoparticle cell internalization and intracellular tracking as a function of the fluorescence intensity obtained from both the nanoparticle core (FITC signal) and the delivered cargo (Nile Red and Rhodamine B signal), and the colocalization of both, for both plain and transferrin-modified nanoparticles.

Dataset acquired for the study published in the article: “Improving the performance of felt-based living wall systems in terms of irrigation management”. This work aims to improve an existing commercial system (Fytotextile) in order to optimise water retention and vegetation performance in harsh climate conditions. Therefore, three evolutions of the Fytotextile system were tested in terms of water retention capacity, drainage and vegetation performance., Water retention capacity, the mean total volumes and maximum flows of water drained in a day from the 4 types of Fytotextile living walls and performance of the plants

hiperlife is a high performance parallel library for finite elements. The aim of this library is to provide a computational framework to address problems of cell and tissue mechanobiology for a wide range of cases and users, with special focus on curved surfaces (the cell membrane, the cell cortex, epithelial monolayers,etc.). It is designed to handle the multiphysic nature of problems in mechanobiology, to manage unstructured grids that deal with complex geometries and to allow arbitrary higher-order basis functions that describe the curvature of interfaces. hiperlife is written in C++, uses the Message Passage Interface (MPI) paradigm for parallelism, and is built on top of several packages of the Trilinos Project. These particular choices set the basis for the main features of the library, namely, parallelism, flexibility, user-centered design and sustainability., 4.2

Base de Datos del artículo "Evaluation of the role of metabolizing enzymes and transporter variants in ezetimibe pharmacokinetics", Ezetimibe inhibits cholesterol uptake by modulation of intestinal sterol absorption. Currently, although some studies have shown alterations in ezetimibe levels caused by alterations in the ABCG5, ABCG8, NPC1L1 or UGT1A1 genes, there are no pharmacogenetic guidelines to confirm these biomarkers. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of 49 variants in 22 pharmacogenes related to metabolism and transport. A total of 96 healthy volunteers from four bioequivalence clinical trials of ezetimibe as monotherapy or in combination with simvastatin were studied. Blood samples were extracted for unconjugated ezetimibe plasma quantification and genotyping. No association of metabolizing enzyme variants with ezetimibe pharmacokinetic parameters was found. The results show some trends in the univariate analysis for ABCB1 rs2032582 or ABCC2 rs2273697 and Cmax (p univariate (puv) = 0.056 and 0.087, respectively), which finally reach significance in the multivariate analysis (p multivariate (pmv) = 0.049 and 0.048, respectively). Nevertheless, these results need to be validated in future studies.
