TRACING CHEMICAL DIVERSITY IN DISSOLVED ORGANIC MATTER FROM FRESHWATERS TO MARINE ENVIRONMENTS
- Alves Macedo, Joao Carlos
- Puy Llorens, Jaume
- Rey-Castro, Carlos
- David, Calin
- Lodeiro, Pablo
This dataset provides detailed measurements of the chemical composition and proton-binding properties of dissolved organic matter (DOM) collected along the Ebro River continuum, from its headwaters to the Mediterranean Sea. Samples were collected across different seasons to capture spatial and temporal variability. The dataset includes quantified concentrations of low- and high-affinity DOM binding groups (expressed in mmol·mol C⁻¹), estimates of the organic contribution to total alkalinity (μmol binding groups·L⁻¹), and metadata on sampling locations, environmental conditions, and physicochemical parameters.
The data enable exploration of seasonal shifts and spatial gradients in DOM reactivity, with particular attention to the influence of riverine processes, such as groundwater inputs, terrestrial runoff, and in-river degradation. Researchers can use this dataset to examine DOM's role in micronutrient cycling, carbon transport, and buffer capacity in aquatic systems.

Transcriptome data of Otp cells. Samples from posterodorsal medial amygdala (MePD), medial bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BSTM), and paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus (PVN), from 60-days-old mouse. For each brain division: two pools of males (except PVN, which includes only one) and two pools of females. Each pool consists of samples from 4 animals. Data include comparisons of IP (Otp cells) versus INPUT (all cells) in each subdivision, and comparisons of IP between subdivisions.

DATASETS FOR COMPARING DAYTIME RADIATIVE COOLING PRODUCTION WITH COOLING DEMANDS IN EUROPE
- Vilà Miró, Roger
- Casasnovas, A.
- Castell, Albert
This dataset corresponds to a study aimed at assessing the feasibility of daytime radiative cooling (DRC) as a solution for meeting the cooling demands of buildings in Europe, emphasizing the importance of quantifying the potential. Each of the files of the data set contains the data used to generate the corresponding figures (figures 1b, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) in the paper "Exploring the suitability of radiative cooling: Comparing daytime cooling production with cooling demand in buildings − An European perspective". The data set associated to Figure 1b has values of the daytime radiative cooling energy potential across Europe during the summer months of June, July, and August. The second data set is associated to Figures 2 and 3 of the paper. It contains values for the cooling demand in buildings for 20 different cities in Europe, together with values of the European Cooling Index developed in a previous paper of Werner et al (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.energy.2015.11.028) and values of a new ECI index developed by the authors with avalilable cooling degree days (CDD) data. The data set associated to Figure 4 contains geospaced values of the Cooling demand in Europe during the summer months (June, July, and August). The data set corresponding to Figure 5 has geospaced values of the number of floors for which cooling demand can be potentially covered with daytime radiative cooling. Finally, the last data set corresponds to values of: the number of floors the cooling demand of which can be covered by RC in the main cities in Spain, the average number of floors in a building and the Cooling Coverage Percentage (CCP).

Prupose: to analyze the effects of outdoor work under high-temperature conditions on dehydration in temporary agricultural workers in the Mediterranean region, specifically focusing on sodium and potassium loss and their relationship with sweat loss and other health variables such as weight and blood pressure, while considering individual physiological variability.
There is a document containing the results of the temporary workers’ responses. The collected data include sociodemographic information, as well as measurements of weight, heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, sweat loss, and sodium and potassium loss, taken before, during, and after the workday over nine consecutive days.

This set of data includes three subsets of questions asked to a group of Erasmus students before, during, and after their study abroad period. These questions are of different types (closed and open) and were administered through an app developed within the framework of the Glocalsa Project. They are questions related to students’ attitudes, linguistic skills, and glocal competences throughout a study abroad experience. The questions administered during the stay followed the Experience Sampling Method (ESM) and, therefore, were repeated on consecutive days and in 3 periods during the stay. All the questions have an associated code that identifies them and are written in 3 languages: English, Spanish, and Catalan.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: PREDAWN DISEQUILIBRIUM BETWEEN SOIL AND PLANT WATER POTENTIALS IN SEEDLINGS OF TWO MEDITERRANEAN OAK SPECIES (QUERCUS ILEX AND QUERCUS SUBER)
- Pruñanosa, Marc
- Albó Timor, Dalmau
- Meijer Mora, Andreu
- Pérez-Llorca, Marina
- Colinas, C. (Carlos)
This dataset includes plant, soil and environmental measurements and subsequent estimations, from a greenhouse study aiming to evaluate predawn plant-soil disequilibrium (PDD) and physiological response in seedlings of two mediterranean Quercus subjected to progressive drought. The dataset is the result of five sampling events, performed at weekly intervals in spring of 2023, on 76 potted 2-year-old seedlings of Quercus ilex and Quercus suber. Plants were potted in pairs of the same species, being both measured for plant water status and leaf gas exchange. The ecophysiological values for each pot represent the average measurements taken from the two plants within a pot. Plant data was compared to soil and environmental data obtained using different types of probes. The dataset also includes the survival rates of the individuals by the fifth sampling date.
