The dataset includes four curcumin-loaded nanoparticle formulations (CO-LLN, MG-LLN, HPO-SLN, and CN-SLN) differing by lipid type. Each formulation was characterized for particle size, ζ-potential, and physical stability. In vivo data were collected from 16 female Sprague Dawley rats divided into four treatment groups, each receiving 250 mg/kg curcumin orally. Biological samples included plasma, gastrointestinal segments, liver, kidney, and adipose tissues. Curcumin and its metabolites were quantified in these samples using LC-ESI–MS/MS. Overall, the dataset integrates formulation parameters, physicochemical properties, and in vivo biodistribution profiles of curcuminoids.

DATA COMPILATION: FOCUS GROUPS TRANSCRIPTS (PRO-SUEDAD RESEARCH PROJECT)

  • Molina-Luque, Fidel
This data examines perceptions of ageing, ageism, and profiguration through three intergenerational focus groups. Participants question the dominant model of “active ageing,” arguing that it often imposes normative expectations of productivity and overlooks diverse abilities, desires, and life circumstances. Ageism emerges as a bidirectional phenomenon affecting both older adults and younger people, whose emotions and experiences are frequently undervalued. Profiguration is viewed positively as an interdependent and socially sustainable framework that counters growing individualism and unwanted loneliness. The discussions also highlight the pressures associated with demographic change, the externalisation of care, and the need for public policies that strengthen community ties and promote meaningful intergenerational encounters.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: OPTIMISED ULTRASOUND TREATMENTS ENHANCE HYDRATION PROPERTIES AND INDUCE STRUCTURAL MODIFICATIONS IN DIETARY FIBRE CONCENTRATES DERIVED FROM ORANGE PEELS

  • Nutter, Julia
  • Soliva-Fortuny, Robert
  • Martín Belloso, Olga
  • Elez Martínez, Pedro
This dataset contains the raw data generated for the manuscript "Optimised ultrasound treatments enhance hydration properties and induce structural modifications in dietary fibre concentrates derived from orange peels". The purpose was to evaluate and optimise the effect of ultrasound (US) treatment conditions (power, solid-liquid ratio, and time) to improve the hydration properties of dietary fibre concentrates derived from orange peel (OP-DFC). Additionally, it sought to explore the structure-function relationships underlying potential ultrasound-induced modifications.

REPLICATION DATA FOR: OLEOGELS AS Β-CAROTENE DELIVERY SYSTEMS: INFLUENCE OF STRUCTURE ON ABSORPTION, RETINOL CONVERSION AND TISSUE BIODISTRIBUTION IN RATS.

  • Ramezani, Mohsen
  • Teixé-Roig, Júlia
  • Martín Belloso, Olga
  • Salvia Trujillo, Laura
  • Oms Oliu, Gemma
This dataset contains raw data from an in vivo study evaluating the bioavailability and biodistribution of β-carotene delivered via different oleogel structures compared to liquid oil. The study utilized 18 rats (4 treatment groups, n=4; 1 baseline control group, n=2) to assess how the structural composition of the delivery matrix influences the absorption of β-carotene and its metabolic conversion into retinol across different tissues. The experimental design evaluated an enriched corn oil control against three specific oleogel formulations: Control: Corn oil with β-carotene (BC-corn oil). BC-OGS: Oleogel structured with glyceryl stearate. BC-OLEC: Oleogel structured with glyceryl stearate and lecithin. BC-OHLEC: Oleogel structured with glyceryl stearate and hydrogenated lecithin.

REPLICATION DATA AND CODE FOR: REAL-TIME RECOGNITION OF MULTIVARIATE EVENT-BASED TIME SERIES ON EMBEDDED DEVICES USING RECURRENT NEURAL NETWORKS: A PRACTICAL STUDY

  • Gairí Pallarés, Pau
  • Tresanchez Ribes, Marcel
  • Pallejà Cabrè, Tomàs
This repository contains the source code and processed datasets for a deep learning framework designed to multivariate event-based time series classification applied to monitor police firearm usage via embedded sensor fusion. The software features a custom-built Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) library implemented in pure Python/NumPy, enabling the training of lightweight models (Vanilla RNN, GRU, MGRU) suitable for deployment on low-resource embedded systems. The framework utilizes a multi-objective architecture to process simultaneous inputs from piezoelectric (vibration) and photoelectric (light) sensors. Key capabilities include "Zoneout" regularization, custom Backpropagation Through Time (BPTT), and export functionality to C-style headers for microcontroller integration. The included datasets consist of pre-processed, labelled time-series vectors representing real-world firearm manipulations (shots, reloads, and handling events)

DATA COMPILATION: INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTS (REGENERE AND ECAVINAR RESEARCH PROJECTS)

  • Molina-Luque, Fidel
This data examines perceptions of profiguration, intergenerational relations and sustainability through a series of interviews. Participants, primarily local people from an anonymized territory, were asked about their views on life in the territory and its connection to language, culture, and sustainability. They were also asked for their opinions on the development of intergenerational relationships within this context, as well as on technical aspects of organizational bodies and institutions in the area. Overall, intergenerational relationships are perceived as positive and supported by local traditions and culture. Additionally, participants expressed growing awareness of the importance of social development, sustainability of the territory and gender equality.

  • Roca Llobet, Judith
  • Selva Pareja, Laia
This dataset contains responses from a quasi-experimental health education study conducted among adults aged 18 years or older from different municipalities in the Segrià region (Catalonia, Spain). Data were collected to evaluate the effectiveness of the "Rethinking COVID-19" intervention in relation to knowledge, preventive practices, and emotional coping. The dataset includes pre- and post-intervention questionnaire data from an intervention group and pre-intervention data from a non-equivalent control group. Variables cover basic sociodemographic characteristics, hand hygiene knowledge and practices, healthy habits related to COVID-19, and self-reported emotions and coping strategies. A post-intervention satisfaction questionnaire, including Likert-scale items and a Net Promoter Score, is also included for the intervention group. Data are fully anonymised, contain no direct identifiers, and consist mainly of categorical and ordinal variables with explicit coding.
