To analyse changes in nursing students’ clinical decision-making, self-confidence, and anxiety in a telenursing context following a simulation-based video consultation intervention. There is a dataset containing the results of nursing students’ responses. The collected data include sociodemographic and academic information, baseline indicators of digital competence and innovative capacity, and repeated measurements of clinical decision-making–related self-confidence and anxiety assessed using the Nursing Anxiety and Self-Confidence with Clinical Decision Making (NASC-CDM) scale. Data were collected before and after the educational intervention in both an intervention group and a comparison group. In the intervention group, additional data on satisfaction and perceived learning were collected using the Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale. This dataset contains survey responses from 115 nursing students at two Spanish universities collected during the 2024-2025 academic year. The data matrix includes sociodemographic variables, digital competence indicators, and detailed scores from the NASC-CDM scales (27 self-confidence items and 27 anxiety items) and the SCLS (13 items on learning satisfaction). The data structure reflects a quasi-experimental design featuring pre-test and post-test measurements related to a video consultation simulation intervention

BL-MIND COHORT DOCUMENTATION DATASET: BIPOLAR LLEIDA–MOOD INVESTIGATION OF NEUROBIOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS (BL-MIND) COHORT

  • Mur, Maria
  • Pàmpols-Pérez, Samuel
The BL-MIND Cohort Documentation Dataset contains methodological and descriptive documentation for the Bipolar Lleida-Mood Investigation Neurobiological Determinants (BL-MIND) Cohort, an ongoing observational research platform focused on bipolar disorder. The cohort includes adults receiving care within the mental health services of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain, and integrates routinely collected demographic, clinical, treatment-related, functional, lifestyle, medical, and biological information generated during standard clinical practice. The initial phase of the cohort is retrospective and is based primarily on electronic health records. Future phases may include prospective follow-up assessments, longitudinal outcome evaluations, and expanded biological characterization. The cohort remains open; therefore, no fixed total cohort size is reported in this documentation release. The first analytical study derived from the cohort included approximately 680 hospital admissions associated with manic episodes; this figure does not represent the total number of cohort participants. This public dataset does not contain individual participant-level data. It provides documentation describing the cohort design, eligibility criteria, data sources, data-management and quality-assurance procedures, variable definitions, statistical analysis framework, and ethical and governance procedures. The documentation is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, interoperability, adherence to FAIR data principles, and future research collaboration.

This dataset corresponds to a study exploring the association between intelligence factors and performance in modern board games among secondary school students. Intelligence was assessed with the EDINT test (Yuste Hernanz & Yuste Peña, 2008a), a battery of six subtests derived from CHC theory (McGrew, 2009): Verbal Analogies (Rv), Numerical Series (Rn), Logical Matrices (Re), Sentence Completion (Vv), Numerical Problems (Nn), and Turns and Laces of Figures (Ee). These subtests were also grouped into broader composite factors (Reasoning, Verbal, Numerical, and Visuospatial) and a General Intelligence index. Participants also played six modern board games, each theoretically matched to one of the EDINT cognitive domains: Cross Clues (verbal), Tuki (visuospatial), SET (logical reasoning), Unánimo (verbal), Streams (numerical series), and Numenko (numerical problems). Games were played in randomly assigned groups of four, and outcome variables include points obtained (by category, where applicable), total score, and finishing position relative to the other three players in each group. The dataset includes individual-level data for 72 third-year secondary education students (Mean age = 14.0, SD = 0.44), combining psychometric test scores with board game performance data, intended to explore whether performance in modern board games can serve as a proxy measure for specific intelligence factors.

We recorded the mortality caused by three neurotoxic insecticides with different modes of action [Chlorpyrifos (organophosphate, acetylcholinesterase inhibitor), λ-Cyhalothrin (pyrethroid, sodium channel modulator) and Thiacloprid (neonicotinoid, nicotinic acetylcholinesterase receptor agonist)] applied topically to adult males and females of three economically important tortricid species [Cydia pomonella (Linnaeus), Grapholita molesta (Busck) and Lobesia botrana (Denis & Schiffermüller)] that strongly depend on insecticide for their control. Concentration and dose-dependent curves were made with 24 and 48 hour mortality scores. Statistical analysis shows significant effects of sex, species and insecticide, demonstrating that each of these three factors has a critical effect on adult mortality. The Microsoft Word file contains the mortality raw data and the R codes for the analysis of data and selected output from the statistical analysis., Dades primàries associades a un article publicat a la revista Journal of Economic Entomology disponible a l'adreça https://doi.org/10.1093/jee/tox113

CAPTURES OF ORIENTAL FRUIT MOTH, GRAPHOLITA MOLESTA (LEPIDOPTERA: TORTRICIDAE), IN TRAPS BAITED WITH HOST-PLANT VOLATILES IN CHILE

  • Barros-Parada, Wilson
  • Ammagarahalli Munishamappa, Byrappa
  • Basoalto, Esteban
  • Fuentes-Contreras, Eduardo
  • Gemeno Marín, César
Studies in Australia and China identified host-plant volatile blends from peach and pear that captured relatively high numbers of Grapholita molesta (Busck). To determine if these blends are attractive in other countries and relative to each other, the two host-plant blends, a laboratory blend identified in Switzerland, and a new "Total blend" made by mixing components of all three blends, were field tested in Chile for the first time. Same solvent type, concentrations and dispensers as in the original studies, plus an additional concentration and solvent, were used. Only the Swiss blend at the low dose in n-hexane captured significantly more males than the solvent traps, albeit in very low numbers (1.46 ± 1.46 mean ± SEM males/trap/week). Furthermore, host-plant blends decreased male captures in sex pheromone traps, and the effect was dose-dependent for the Chinese and Total blends. A laboratory flight-tunnel test confirmed the lack of response of G. molesta males to the Australian, Chinese and Swiss plant blends, but in the flight tunnel males responded sooner and in higher numbers to mixtures of sex pheromone and host-plant blends than to sex pheromone alone., Dades primàries associades a un article publicat a la revista Applied Entomology and Zoology disponible a l'adreça https://doi.org/10.1007/s13355-017-0543-7

Increasing physical activity (PA) is currently widespread among the population. Thus, in addition to the professional, the amateur and the physically inactive persons being engaged for many different reasons, PA is considered a major driver for optimal health achievement throughout life. Many adopters, either at a professional or an amateur level, are able to spend part of non-legible monetary resources looking for maximum performance. It is widely known and scientifically accepted that one of the most influential factors for full achievement of PA benefits, apart from adequate training, is a proper diet. All athletes tend to follow specific diets according to the type of sport performed, but still, not everyone responds the same way to the same type of intake. Interestingly, when consumers are directed to perform PA, either by self-initiative or as directed by providers (health care or recreational), the dietary advice is often misleading, without profound knowledge of general metabolism or adaptation to exercise. Thus, the personalized dietary approaches, followed for weight control, have not been adopted in response to PA. In this framework, the major goal of the present project is to generate scientific evidence for further development of personalized nutrition tools towards PA. For this purpose, we will adopt the following approach: Volunteers will follow an standardized PA(e.g. running, swimming or cycling) and blood sampling will be obtained by minimally invasive systems, both before (pre) and after (post) exercise. Samples thus obtained will be analysed by mass-spectrometry based metabolomic approaches and the expert system to be developed will help to classify changes in each volunteer in any of the metabolomic clusters. A personalized advice towards PA and dietary changes will be recommended to the volunteer, which will adopt it and repeat the analyses, to ascertain whether the expected changes occur.
