Here you will find a model of the cooling system of a PEMFC-based micro-CHP system. This model is implemented in Matlab/Simulink, version 9.3.0.713579 (R2017b). The model and the tests conducted for its development are described in detail in the following paper: Title: Control-Oriented Modeling of the Cooling Process of a PEMFC-Based micro-CHP System Authors: SANTIAGO NAVARRO GIMÉNEZ, JUAN MANUEL HERRERO DURÁ, FRANCESC XAVIER BLASCO FERRAGUD and RAÚL SIMARRO FERNÁNDEZ. Instituto Universitario de Automática e Informática Industrial Universidad Politécnica de Valencia In this folder (uCHP_Cooling_System), you will find the following files: Complete_Model_M.slx Complete_Model_V.slx Filter.m Modeling_Test.mat Parameters.mat S_Complete_Model_M.m S_Complete_Model_V.m Validation_Test.mat In both Complete_Model_M.slx and Complete_Model_V.slx you will find the implementation of the complete model in Simulink. The only difference between them is that the former is prepared for the data set from the modeling test (Modeling_Test.mat) and the latter for the data set from the modeling test (Validation_Test.mat). In order to launch the simulations, you have to run the scripts S_Complete_Model_M.m and S_Complete_Model_V.m, respectively. The file Parameters.mat contain the values of the parameters of the model. The file Filter.m is just a filter, which is used in both scripts. Please, read the comments in the scripts mentioned for more information. Thanks.

[EN] A comprehensive dataset of pollen images has been constructed. This Ground Truth termed POLLEN24_SP, comprised 32.285 pollen/particle images (captured by an expert using optical microscopy) and covers the 24 most prevalent types of pollen grains found in Spanish honeys. Twelve different pre-existing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) were evaluated in order to discern the relative frequencies of different pollen types, including our new proposals PolleNetV2 and PollenNetV2.mobile., This research was funded by the Next Generation European Union and the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia of the Spanish Government, with the support of Generalitat Valenciana (project AGROALNEXT/2022/043)

[ES] We demonstrate a convergent optical fronthaul link for enabling heterogeneous wireless access technologies in 6G future networks deployment based on a directly modulated laser and an external Mach–Zehnder modulator biased at null point for optical frequency multiplying. Simultaneous transmission of two M-QAM data signals over baseband and millimeter wave (mmW) frequency band, i.e. 42 GHz, is demonstrated over a 10 km fiber link, showing the suitability for visible light communications and mmW radio access, respectively, to the final user. System intermodulation in mmW band is identified under high received optical power levels and overcome by inserting a dispersion compensation module.

This dataset is about the experimental results obtained and published in the article "A Control Scheme to Suppress Circulating Currents in Parallel-Connected Three-Phase Inverters": Liberos, M.; Gonzalez-Medina, R.; Patrao, I.; Garcera , G.; Figueres, E. Electronics 2022, 11, 3720. DOI: 10.3390/electronics11223720 The parallel operation of inverters has many benefits, such as modularity and redundancy. However, the parallel connection of inverters produces circulating currents that may result in malfunctions of the system. In this work, a control technique for the elimination of the low-frequency components of the circulating currents in grid-connected inverters is presented. The proposed control structure contains n - 1 zero-sequence control loops, with n being the number of inverters connected in parallel. Simulation and experimental results have been carried out on a prototype composed of two 5 kW inverters connected in parallel. The results have been obtained by considering the following mismatches between both inverters: inductance values of the grid filters, unbalance of the delivered power, and the use of different modulation techniques.

TRACKING THE ENERGY TRANSITION OF SPANISH FIRMS (2023–2025): A LARGE-SCALE WEB AND LLM-BASED [DATASET]

  • Martínez-Barbero, Xavier|||0000-0002-6040-8118
  • Pastor-Merino, Ana
  • Domenech, Josep|||0000-0002-7302-5810
This article introduces a nationwide dataset that maps how 104,553 Spanish firms communicate and implement energy transition practices on their corporate websites in 2023 and 2025. Using a scalable pipeline based on large language models (LLMs), website text is segmented, semantically filtered, and evaluated through a structured rubric designed to identify explicit evidence of: (1) energy efficiency and energy consumption reduction actions, (2) decarbonization and greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies, and (3) the use, production, or procurement of renewable energy. The resulting indicators are aggregated at the province (NUTS-3), sector (NACE 2-digit), and firm-size level, providing a detailed picture of corporate energy transition patterns across the Spanish economy. To preserve anonymity and statistical robustness, only aggregated cells containing at least four firms with valid website content are included in the public dataset. For each province–sector–size combination, the dataset reports the share of firms associated with each transition dimension together with the number of firms represented in the cell. By covering two years, the dataset enables the analysis of temporal changes in corporate sustainability and energy transition strategies across regions, industries, and firm-size categories. The dataset provides a reproducible and extensible framework for studying energy transition dynamics using web-based evidence and LLM-assisted classification, offering valuable applications for sustainability research, regional analysis, industrial transformation studies, and energy policy evaluation.

[EN] We experimentally demonstrate a photonic full-duplex seamless millimeter wave fronthaul link, based on phase modulation, to address the challenges arising from the increased demands on the mobile fronthaul capacity and network densification toward 5G and beyond. The proposed system relies on phase modulation techniques, implemented at both the central office (CO) and remote radio head (RRH), to achieve optical frequency upconversion of the downlink (DL) signal and optical modulation of the down-converted uplink (UL) signal. Furthermore, our approach includes the frequency down-conversion of the 40 GHz UL signal through an optically generated local oscillator (LO) signal in the RRH, while the laser employed for UL data transmission is situated at the CO, simplifying the remote site’s equipment. An optical waveshaper serves here as a programmable optical filter to provide signals for DL frequency up-conversion, LO generation, and also the optical carrier for UL transmission. In our experimental validation, we have tested our proposed system using 64-quadrature amplitude modulation (64-QAM) for the DL at a frequency of 41 GHz and quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) for the UL at a frequency of 40 GHz. Notably, our results demonstrate the successful transmission of up to 200 MHz bandwidth for both digital modulation schemes, all while maintaining the error vector magnitude (EVM) well below the specified threshold. Additionally, when employing 5G new radio (NR) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) signals with the same modulation formats for both links in full-duplex communication, we achieved EVM values as low as 5.2% for the DL and 6.9% for the UL, further highlighting the efficacy and robustness of our proposed solution.
