Recent developments in educational technology research underscores the importance of individuals and groups to regulate their own learning processes and behaviours to cope with the fast-changing world around them. This led many researchers to focus on the concept of Socially-Shared Regulation of Learning (SSRL) which tries to understand the different types of collective regulatory processes that emerge while learning in groups. Although initial investigations have predominantly theorised these phenomena, there is a growing need to operationalize SSRL to prepare learners for a future in which regulation of their learning is a key skill for success. This necessitates systematic examination of how Learning Design (LD) and Learning Analytics (LA) can be leveraged to promote, detect, and support SSRL. Therefore, this paper presents a systematic literature review of 110 empirical studies with the aim of identifying: (i) what does empirical literature consider as SSRL; (ii) how is LD used to promote SSRL; (iii) how are LA and LD used to detect SSRL; and (iv) how are LD and LA used to support SSRL. The findings from the literature indicate three major challenges to the operationalization of SSRL support in the real-world: (i) the lack of convergence in theoretical models, together with the lack of validated instruments for detecting (e.g., coding schemes) and measuring (e.g., questionnaires) SSRL processes; (ii) the types of data most frequently collected and the analysis techniques used make it difficult to provide SSRL support to the students during the learning situations; and (iii) there is a lack of tools designed to promote, detect, and support SSRL processes. This paper describes each challenge, and provides a discussion about potential future research opportunities for tackling them., Dpto. This dataset contains survey results from 630 students across four European universities (France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain) as part of the Erasmus+ OpenPass4Climate project. The survey assesses students' attitudes toward climate change, environmental values, sense of personal responsibility, perceptions of social norms, participation in eco-pedagogical activities, learning preferences, and awareness of open badge systems. Data include demographic variables (age, gender, educational level, country) and Likert scale (1-5) responses to 20 questions structured across seven constructs: climate change views, environmental values and identity, personal responsibility and emotional responses, social norms, eco-pedagogical activities, learning interests and training preferences, and open badges system awareness. Statistical analysis was conducted using non-parametric tests (Kruskal-Wallis and Conover-Iman) due to violations of normality assumptions., Este conjunto de datos contiene los resultados de una encuesta realizada a 630 estudiantes de cuatro universidades europeas (Francia, Italia, Portugal y España) como parte del proyecto Erasmus+ OpenPass4Climate. SPIN WAVES IN FERRIMAGNETS NEAR THE ANGULAR MAGNETIZATION COMPENSATION TEMPERATURE: A MICROMAGNETIC STUDY

Spin wave propagation along a ferrimagnetic strip with out-of-plane magnetization is studied by means of micromagnetic simulations. The ferrimagnetic material is considered to be formed by two antiferromagnetically coupled sub-lattices. Two critical temperatures can be defined for such systems: that of magnetization compensation and that of angular momentum compensation, both different due to distinct Landé factors for each sub-lattice. Spin waves in the strip are excited by a spin current injected at one of its edges. The obtained dispersion diagrams show exchange-dominated forward volume spin waves. For a given excitation frequency, the Néel vector describes highly eccentric orbits, the eccentricity depending on temperature, whose semi-major axis is oriented differently at distinct locations on the FiM strip., GIR Materiales Magnéticos, SA114P20 from Junta de Castilla y León, PID2020117024GB-C41 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033, Project MagnEFi, Grant Agreement No. 860060, (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2019) funded by the European Commission

MODEL SOCIAL SYSTEM DESIGN, ODD PROTOCOL, DATA SET AND SIMULATION CODE

  • Jedrysiak Gutowska, Olga Zuzanna

  • Romay Coca, Juán
Social exclusion is one of the greatest challenges facing today's societies and especially the group under study. This type of exclusion goes beyond poverty, to the extent that it can be considered as a kind of social and individual catastrophe, since this phenomenon of social exclusion causes damage of great impact on the people affected and on their environment. After all, social exclusion is a set of factors that prevent well-being, the full enjoyment of life and increases unhappiness. In this work, agent-based simulation will be used. These tools allow us to study social systems where inequality emerges from local interactions, avoiding homogeneity assumptions typical of statistical models. Our research uses these models to study the processes of social exclusion in people with deafblindness and to search for elements that help us to understand some element of this social phenomenon. In our research, we find the relevance of institutionalisation in the phenomenon of exclusion of this group, the importance of critical thresholds in this exclusion process, biopolitics as an operative social mechanism that fosters structural vulnerability and intersectionality. These elements establish a plausible explanatory framework that allows a better understanding of the phenomenon of social exclusion in people with deafblindness.

BILINGUAL ACQUISITION DATA: DATIVE ALTERNATION_DA-L2 ADULT DATASET

  • Fernández Fuertes, Raquel
  • Sánchez Calderón, Silvia
This dataset is the result of the research carried out by Silvia Sánchez Calderón (UNED) and Raquel Fernández Fuertes (UVa) in the frame of the Research Group UVALAL (University of Valladolid Language Acquisition Lab, https://uvalal.uva.es/) whose Principal Investigator is Raquel Fernández Fuertes. In this project, the research is conducted on the second language (L2) acquisition of English Dative Alternation (DA) constructions by adult learners whose first language (L1) is Spanish. The results are compared to a control group of L1 English adults. An Acceptability Judgment Task (AJT) was designed for both groups to address grammaticality, sentence structure and word order of the two English DA structures. The two DA structures under analysis involve, on the one hand, prepositional to-datives that alternate as Double Object Constructions (DOCs) (1) and, on the other hand, prepositional for-datives that alternate as DOCs (2). The main aim of this project is to explore the role played by the L2 English learners' L1 in their sensitivity towards the two syntactic variants, with a particular emphasis on the potential crosslinguistic influence effects (or lack thereof) from Spanish into English and the Universal Grammar (UG) effect on their acquisition., UVALAL, 1.
