VIRTUAL REALITY EVALUATION OF THE SPATIAL LEARNING STRATEGIES IN GAMERS [DATASET]

  • Lobato-Camacho, Francisco José

  • Vargas Romero, Juan Pedro
Psychological memory tests have traditionally relied on paper-based methods. However, the emergence of virtual reality tools, including adaptations of animal lab tests, has opened up new possibilities for evaluating and enhancing attention and memory processes. The impact of virtual environments on spatial memory remains a topic of ongoing debate. To contribute to this discussion, we conducted a comprehensive study with two primary objectives. Firstly, we aimed to develop a virtual reality tool that could effectively assess search strategies in gamers within virtual environments. To achieve this, we designed a virtual water maze inspired by those used in animal research. Secondly, we conducted a cross-sectional study involving participants to analyze how spatial memory strategies evolve in a virtual environment with increasing gaming experience. The results revealed that participants with more gaming experience exhibited faster and more precise learning in the virtual water maze, along with improved search strategies. Additionally, our study allowed for the evaluation of our software and enabled us to track changes in the efficacy of learning strategies. Overall, this study emphasizes the potential of virtual environments for both evaluation and cognitive stimulation purposes, ID, Gamer type, Scenes types, First assessment (s), Second assessment (s)

HÁBITOS, NORMAS Y USO DE LAS TECNOLOGÍAS EN EL HOGAR DESDE UNA PERSPECTIVA DE GÉNERO EN LA PRIMERA INFANCIA [DATASET]

HABITS, NORMS AND USE OF TECHNOLOGIES AT HOME FROM A GENDER PERSPECTIVE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD [DATASET]

  • Romero Tena, Rosalía
  • Barragán Sánchez, Raquel
  • Martínez Pérez, Sandra
  • Palacios Rodríguez, Antonio de Padua
The use of technologies at home directly influences how children perceive them for their learning at school. Numerous studies have focused on the different ways in which digital technologies are used at home and in schools. These studies attempt to explain how previous experience and knowledge can be linked to the use of technologies at school, the differences between home and school literacies, or how socio-economic status influences the availability of technology in these socio-educational institutions. All of them show that technology has become part of children's lives. Consequently, the aim of this study was to obtain information about the habits, norms and use of technology by children aged 2-6 years in their homes and the differences between genders. To this end, a validated questionnaire was created. A total of 1016 parents completed the questionnaire. The results show the most used technologies, the time of use and whom they are used with, as well as the rules imposed and their opinion about this use. Likewise, there are significant differences that lead to carry out and discuss proposals for STEAM work in Early Childhood Education classrooms in order to empower students

DATASET USED IN PAPER SUBMITTED TO PLOS ONE AND ENTITLED: SPATIAL PATTERN OF HERBACEOUS SEED DISPERSAL BY UNGULATES IN GRASSLANDS OF THE DOÑANA NATIONAL PARK (SW SPAIN)

  • Leiva Morales, María José
  • Fedriani Laffitte, José María
Datasets pertain to a study on the effect of the ungulate community composition on short distance seeds dispersal and the potential generation of spatial pattern of plant species distribution. The study was conducted at two grassland sites (Martinazo and Matasgordas) in the Doñana National Park (SW Spain). The sites were used by: i) a four ungulate species comunity (i.e., deer, wild boar, cattle and horse) and ii) a community highly dominated by deer. Both sites differed in the total number of herbaceous seeds dispersed and in the plant families most abundantly dispersed. In the four-species ungulate community, cow and deer were the most dissimilar pair in taxonomic composition of dispersed seeds. In addition, in this community, but not in the deer dominated one, we found significant spatial patterns of total seed dispersal (significant positive effect of short-distance feces aggregation, spatial covariance in seed content of two nearby feces, and significant correlation between seed content and density of nearby feces) as well as significant spatial pattern of dispersal of the seeds families preferentially associated with cow. These findings highlight a notable effect of the composition of disperser community on seeds dispersal and spatial structure at the short spatial scale of this study Dataset consists of ten datafiles that include: i) information on seed content and taxonomic composition (families) in fecal samples collected in the two study sites (Matasgordas and Martinazo) and where the ungulate comunities are composed by a single disperser (deer in Matasgordas) or four dispersers (dear, cow, horse, wild board in Martinazo) and ii) information on spatial coordinates of fecal samples collected in the two sites (Martinazo and Matasgordas) as well as the seed content per sample (total seed content and seed content of the three most frequent plant families dispersed at each site)., Two files include data on seeds content and taxonomic composition in the feces from deer occurring in the two study sites (file #1) and on seeds content and taxonomic composition in feces from the four ungulates occurring in Martinazo site (file #2). Other eight files include information on spatial coordinates of fecal samples collected in the two sites (Martinazo and Matasgordas) as well as the seed content per sample (total seed content and seed content of the three most frequent plant families dispersed at each site). (files #3 to 10).

DATASET DE ARTÍCULOS INDEXADOS EN WOS BUSCANDO CON LA CADENA DE CARACTERES (“ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE”) AND (“RECRUITMENT”) ENTRE 2020 Y 2025

The identification phase, in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, requires specifying the databases consulted and the exact strategy used to locate studies. The Web of Science (WoS) database was selected to conduct this review. Specifically, only the WoS Core Collection (SSCI and SCI-Expanded) was targeted to guarantee that all included empirical studies had surpassed the most rigorous indexing standards of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR)—uniquely relevant to the Management and Computer Science areas addressed in this research—thereby ensuring the maximum methodological quality of the audited evidence. This delimitation was adopted to restrict the scope to a database of maximum rigor. When performing the document search, the following keyword sequence was utilized in the search engine: (“Artificial Intelligence”) AND (“Recruitment”). This combination was used as a Boolean indexing root within the Topic fields, as the granularity of sub-terms (NLP, LLM, Neural Networks) was naturally absorbed due to the high cross-indexing of WoS. These two terms were chosen as root macro-concepts precisely to prioritize the specificity of thematic matching in high-level management fields, avoiding the noise of pure engineering terms alien to HR. Following the search, executed on January 20, 2026, a total of 438 initial records were obtained, establishing December 31, 2025, as the inclusion deadline. However, with the purpose of obtaining a sample of recent, thematic, and fully accessible literature for complete review, the following search and selection criteria were applied directly within the platform: - Access filter: Results were restricted to Open Access publications. This filter was applied under the principles of Open Science, given that AI research applied to human resources is heavily published in open repositories due to the speed of technological transfer and to ensure full access, auditability, and reproducibility of the sample by the scientific community, accepting any coverage limitations this might imply; the combination of the WoS Core Collection with the Open Access filter guaranteed that the final sample was auditable, reproducible, and of high normative impact, minimizing the influence of grey literature. - Temporal filter: The analysis period was defined for articles published or indexed up to December 2025. - Document types: Research articles were exclusively selected (Article). - Language filter: The search was configured to include only publications in English, thus guaranteeing the linguistic homogeneity of the analysis. - Knowledge area filter: Categories closely aligned with this study were exclusively selected (Business Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physiology [due to the potential use of biometrics, facial expression recognition, or neuroscience], and Social Sciences Other Topics), discarding any scientific discipline unrelated to the purpose of the research.
