We profiled gene expression and alternative splicing of non-neoplastic colon from biopsies of 445 healthy individuals. Here we provide summary statistics listings of BarcUVa-Seq eQTLs and sQTLs (from SUPPA2 and from LeafCutter), and of GTEx v8 transverse colon and sigmoid colon sQLTs (from SUPPA2). Filenames indicate the content of each file: {study}.{analysis}.{method}.

Here we provide eQTL summary statistics for the entire sample size of BarcUVa-Seq data (n=445) as well as its strata by colon anatomic location, i.e. eQTLs from ascending (n=138), transverse (n= 143) and descending (n=164) colon.

ARO Cruise (29GD20000530) carried out on the Research Vessel García del Cid in 2000, Multidisciplinary monitoring of a body of water of continental origin from the Rhone and its involvement as a transport mechanism of anchovy larvae.Measurements of basic hydrographic parameters were obtained with a MARK-III Neil Brown CTD at 68 stations arranged in transects that covered the whole continental shelf to beyond the shelf-slope front, from northern shelf to central shelf.At each station, samples of phytoplankton (which includes a component of detritus), zooplankton and anchovy larvae were taken for the determination of fatty acids. For pigment analysis of phytoplankton, 2 L of water collected by Niskin bottles was filtered with low (0.25 bar) positive pressure through Whatman GF/F glass fibre filters that were immediately frozen in liquid N2. Pigment samples were taken between 4 and 30 m depth (surface samples).Zooplankton (>53 μm) was sampled by vertical hauls from 70 m (below deep chlorophyll maximum) to the surface with 40 cm diameter plankton net,Anchovy larvae were sampled by oblique tows using a Bongo net with a 60 cm diameter opening and a mesh size of 333 μm

CACO-1 Cruise (29GD20030721) carried out on the Research Vessel García del Cid in 2003, The project proposes a continuous sampling of oceanography and plankton 24 hours a day.The general objective of this project is to analyze the possible variations experienced by the climate in the last decades with significant changes in the composition, distribution and abundance of fish communities on the Catalan coast. It is intended to study the variation in the distribution and abundance of those fish species more vulnerable to changes in the environmental conditions, especially the temperature of the water, in the last 20 years on the Catalan coast. We will focus on pelagic species of warm waters, which are the ones that respond most quickly to an environmental change. Therefore, samplings should be made in summer.Sampling was carried out during July 2003 and July 2004, coinciding with the spawning period of Sardinella aurita and Engraulis encrasicolus. Determination of the basic hydrographic parameters was performed with CTD casts at stations distributed along transects, from near the coast to the shelf edge, along the Catalan coast (NW Mediterranean).. The CTD employed was a Neil Brown Mark III with an attached SeaTech fluorometer. Profiles of temperature, salinity, density and fluorescence were averaged at 1 m intervals.To determine the vertical distribution of fish eggs and larvae, sampling was focused on 2 areas of the Catalan coast where the continental shelf was relatively wide: one in the southern part, which was called the ‘southern area’ and the other in the north that was denoted the ‘northern area’.Vertically stratified zooplankton samples for fish larvae (45 cm mouth diameter, 333 µm mesh) and microzooplankton (9 cm diameter, 53 µm mesh) were collected simultaneously using a double Longhurst-Hardy Plankton Recorder net (LHPR)

WINFISH-1_LEG2 Cruise (29GD20170301) carried out on the Research Vessel García del Cid in 2017, To study the influence of the change in the oceanographic conditions generated by the nothern component storms on the spawning of species that reproduce in cold waters.The Gulf of Leon, in the northwestern Mediterranean, is a well-known region where open sea convection processes result in deep water formation due to heat loss during the winter and the evaporation caused for cold and dry winds from the north. Fluctuations in the intensity of this phenomenon are related to the interannual variability and spatial extension of phytoplankton bloom and zooplankton production, feed of fish larvae. Suitable conditions for the development and survival of larvae (high concentrations of food and shelter of their predators) determine subsequent rates of recruitment of fish. The main objective of this project is to elucidate how the environmental conditions associated with the formation of deep water and the vertical mix in winter in the northwestern Mediterranean determine the success of the posting and subsequent recruitment of fish. Two species have been selected: the blue whiting, Micromesistius poutassou, and sardine, Sardina pilchardus, which reproduce in winter in open sea and continental shelf, respectively. Both are abundant, of high commercial interest, and there are historical series of their captures. The specific objectives of the project are: 1) In situ characterization of the environmental conditions in the winter peak, on the platform and in the open sea, after the deep water formation episodes (February-March), and remote monitoring of the evolution of the later phytoplankton bloom; 2) On-site determination of the abundance and distribution (horizontal and vertical) of fish eggs and larvae of target species and other species of fish that are reproduced in the same period; 3) Determination of the trophic interactions between the fish larvae of the target species and the associated planktonic communities under the influence of physical processes. 4) Establish when recruitment of target species takes place and its intensity in relation to winter episodes, the evolution of phytoplankton bloom and the progression of the demographic structure in the following months. 5) Definition of environmental indicators of the cause-effect relationship that explain the interannual variability of the recruitment of the target species and allow the prediction of the catches. The project addresses a multidisciplinary approach and integrates different fields of marine research, physical oceanography, plankton ecology and fisheries
