The study explores if female Grapholita molesta moths can detect its own sex pheromone. The approach involves electroantennography (EAG), single -sensillum recordings (SSR), analyzed with non-linear dose-response and hierarchical cluster analysis. The excel file contains the data, the word file contains the R code. The data are from 3 different experiments. Experiment 1 is the electroantennographic (EAG) response of male and female Grapholita molesta adults to the female sex pheromone components, Z8-12:Ac and E8-12:Ac. Experiment 2 are single-sensillum recordings (SSR) of Z- and E-ORNs from males to the major and minor sex pheromone compounds of females. The EAG and SSR were analyzed with non-linear dose-response curves. In experiment 3, male and female ORNs were challenged with two doses of the major and minor female sex pheromone compounds, a plant volatile blend and the male-produced hairpencil courtship pheromone. The results of experiment 3 were analyzed with hierarchical cluster analysis. The R code is for descriptive statistics (means, and such), predictive statistics (GLMs and such) and graphs and in addition to the code there are indications for teh different steps, plus selected output . This dataset contains data and R script for statistical analysis and graphics presented in the publication related to this data set (Amat et al 2022. Gustatory function of sensilla chaetica on the labial palps and antennae of three tortricid moths (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae)) regarding the electrophisyological responses of sensilla chaetica located in antenna and labial palp of the tortricid moths, the location of the sensilla chaetica in labial palp, the size of labial palp and the effect of different food sources in adult survival.

The dataset contains the chemical composition (water content, fiber, six carbohydrates, total proteins, organic matter, and lignin) of the subcortical tissues (phellem and phloem) of 8 Quercus suber trees, 4 infected with Coraebus undatus and 4 not infected.

Electrophysiology data from Trichromatic retina is highly conserved among tortricid moths. Spectral sensitivity data under dark adapted, green adapted, blue adapted and ultraviolet adapted conditions for three species of tortricids with different diel activities. Spectral sensitivity data from intracellular recordings of Cydia pommonella males and females. Responses of the three species of tortricids under a flickering light at different frequencies to obtain the temporal resolution of the photoreceptors.

This dataset contains data and R script for statistical analysis and graphics presented in the publication related to this data set (Amat et al 2023. XXXXX). The data cointained in this dataset correspond to the oviposition behaiviour of Lobesia botrana, Grapholita molesta and Cydia pomonella to five gustatori stimuli (Fructose, Sucrose, NaCl, KCl and Neem oil).
