  • Sergeant, Nicolas
  • Yanez Ortiz, Ivan
  • Mevel, Vincent
  • Catalan, Jaime
  • Bruyas, Jean-François
  • Briand-Amirat, Lamia

PARLAMINTCAT CORPUS

  • Pisani, Marilina
  • Zevallos Salazar, Rodolfo
  • Bel, Núria
Parliamentary speeches are considered to be of interest for different research areas because they are publicly available transcriptions, produced under controlled and regulated procedures that add totally reliable sociodemographic data like gender, age, and other details of the speakers. Moreover, speeches are rich in topics and domains, and they are actually public domain data, not subject to copyright restrictions. The ParlaMint project: Towards Comparable Parliamentary Corpora is developing a comparable and uniformly annotated multilingual corpus with the data from 33 different parliaments in Europe. This paper describes the details of building the ParlaMintCAT corpus, for which the transcriptions of the Catalan Parliament General Assembly sessions from 2015 to 2022 have been compiled, processed and annotated.

EXPERIMENTAL DATA OF A STUDY ON FIRST LANGUAGE ACQUISITION

  • Keidel Fernandez, Alejandra
  • Anna Gavarró Algueró

Dataset Abstract for Experiments on Catalan Syntactic Parsing Abilities This dataset encompasses raw data from a series of experimental studies designed to investigate the syntactic parsing abilities of Catalan-speaking children and infants, specifically focusing on subject-verb agreement. The collection includes data from three distinct experiments:

1. Sentence-Picture Matching Tasks for Children Aged 3 to 6: Data from tasks where children were asked to match sentences to pictures, assessing their ability to identify singular versus plural subjects in both overt and null-subject sentences. The dataset includes responses from 53 participants across varied conditions, including control, full DP (Determiner Phrase)and pronominal subject singular and plural, and null subject singular and plural scenarios.

2. Eye-Tracking Data from Infants: Recorded using Tobii Pro X3-120, this dataset captures the gaze patterns of Catalan-speaking and German-speaking infants aged 14 to 32 months as they were exposed to videos depicting actions with singular and plural subjects, corresponding to auditory stimuli that varied in subject presence (full DP versus null subjects) and number (singular versus plural). The dataset includes detailed gaze duration and fixation data during baseline and sentence exposure windows, offering insights into early syntactic parsing abilities.

3. Numerical Distractor Experiment: A follow-up experiment to the first, incorporating numerical distractors (e.g., "three ducks are running") to explore the influence of explicit number cues on syntactic parsing. This dataset includes responses from 58 participants, detailing performance across similar conditions to the first experiment but with the addition of fillers featuring numerals.

HARVESTING IN GREEN ROOFS: DATABASE APPLICATION

  • Alva, Aleix
This dataset contains a web application (written in Flask, Python) that allows green roofs (an other locations) to collect harvesting data that is automatically added to an SQLite database. In its presented form, six green roofs of Barcelona are included, but this can be customised as wished. An empty database file is provided along with the SQLite schema to generate the tables. The Python code is also included in order to allow the application to be offered through a server. The application allows harvesting events to be registered, where data needs to be recorded in kg. The menu is offered in Catalan, but can be customised for other languages. The list of available products is dynamic and can be expanded and edited. The list of uses is also expandable and editable. Moreover, each harvest can be edited after its creation.

REGISTER OF GREEN-ROOF ACTIVITIES: DATABASE APPLICATION

  • Alva, Aleix
This repository contains a web application (written in Flask, Python) that allows green roofs (and other locations) to register held activities. All entires are automatically added to an SQLite database. In its presented form, six green roofs of Barcelona are included, but this can be customised as wished. An empty database file is provided along with the SQLite schema to generate the tables. The Python code is also included in order to allow the application to be offered through a server. The application registers internal and external activities, alongside different fields of data that allow the characterisation of indicators related to the social performance of the roof. The menu is offered in Catalan, but can be customised for other languages. The list of external activity types can be expanded and edited. Moreover, each activity entry can be edited after its creation.

ASSESMENT OF TECHNICAL GREEN-ROOF INDICATORS: DATABASE APPLICATION

  • Alva, Aleix
This dataset contains a web application (written in Flask, Python) to register periodic and one-time data that is later used to assess technical indicators for the performance of green roofs. All entires are automatically added to an SQLite database. In its presented form, six green roofs of Barcelona are included, but this can be customised as wished. An empty database file is provided along with the SQLite schema to generate the tables. The Python code is also included in order to allow the application to be offered through a server. The application registers one-time, yearly and monthly data needed for the assessment of green roofs. The menu is offered in English.
