This database that can be used for macro-level analysis of road accidents on interurban roads in Europe. Through the 19 variables it contains, road accidents can be explained using variables related to economic resources invested in roads, traffic, road network, socioeconomic characteristics, legislative measures and meteorology. The database presents data from 1998 up to 2016 from 20 european countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. Crash data were obtained from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). With reference to the data on economic resources invested in roadways, the database of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), managed by the International Transport Forum (ITF) was used. Moreover, diverse additional sources, mainly the national Transport Ministries of the respective countries were consulted. All the monetary values were converted to constant prices in 2015 using the OECD price index., This database was carried out in the framework of the project “Inversión en carreteras y seguridad vial: un análisis internacional (INCASE)”, financed by: FEDER/Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades–Agencia Estatal de Investigación/Proyecto RTI2018-101770-B-I00, within Spain´s National Program of R+D+i Oriented to Societal Challenges. Moreover, the authors would like to express their gratitude to the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda of Spain (MITMA), and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany (BMVI) for providing data for this study.

MARITAL SATISFACTION, SEX, AGE, MARRIAGE DURATION, RELIGION, NUMBER OF CHILDREN, ECONOMIC STATUS, EDUCATION, AND COLLECTIVISTIC VALUES: DATA FROM 33 COUNTRIES

  • Sorokowski, Piotr
  • Martínez Gutiérrez, Rocío
This paper was made possible by the funds of Polish National Science Centre (grant number N N106 012740). In Saudi Arabia, the research was funded by the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Saud University, INTRODUCTION Forms of committed relationships, including formal marriage arrangements between men and women, exist in almost every culture (Bell, 1997). Yet, similarly to many other psychological constructs (Henrich et al., 2010), marital satisfaction and its correlates have been investigated almost exclusively in Western countries (e.g., Bradbury et al., 2000). Meanwhile, marital relationships are heavily guided by culturally determined norms, customs, and expectations (for review see Berscheid, 1995; Fiske et al., 1998). While we acknowledge the differences existing both between- and within-cultures, we measured marital satisfaction and several factors that might potentially correlate with it based on self-report data from individuals across 33 countries. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the raw data available for anybody interested in further examining any relations between them and other country-level scores obtained elsewhere. Below, we review the central variables that are likely to be related to marital satisfaction., Polish National Science Centre grant number N N106 012740, Deanship of Scientific Research at King Saud University, The data discussed in this manuscript have been deposited in Figshare repository and is accessible through the following hyperlink: https://figshare.com/s/d2bd33a9605a3a204881 under the name: “Marital, Sex, Age, Marriage Duration, Religion, Number of Children, Economic Status, Education, and Collectivistic Values: Data from 33 Countries.” The deposit contains two files: (1) Marital satisfaction_Data, a xlsx file containing the raw data, and (2) Marital satisfaction_Questionnaire, a doc file containing the questionnaire, along with an exhaustive description of the column labels in the dataset.

DATASET THE INFLUENCE OF INTELLIGENCE AND SEX ON INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS IN CHILDREN

  • Gómez-Pérez, María del Mar
  • Calero García, María Dolores|||0000-0002-2854-0055
Interpersonal Skills (ISs) and Executive Functions (EFs) are two groups of skills which are extremely relevant for children’s cognitive, social and psychological development. As well as being interrelated, both can be modulated by other variables such as intelligence or sex. Many studies have tried to establish the relationship between them, but no definitive conclusions have been made to date. Therefore, the objective of this study is to explore the relationship between intelligence and sex in children with measures of ISs and EFs. The participants were 121 children between the ages of 7 and 13, divided into two groups: 76 children (52 boys and 24 girls) with average intelligence quotient (IQ) and 45 children (28 boys and 17 girls) with high IQ. All the participants were assessed using ISs, EFs and intelligence measures. The results showed children with high IQ were better at ISs and EFs. Regarding sex, boys of the High IQ group showed better skills than girls in working memory, inhibition and cause attribution in interpersonal conflicts. Finally, the implications for assessing and supporting the gifted population are discussed.

The increasing demand and limited availability of fishmeal (FM) have intensified the need for sustainable alternative protein sources in shrimp aquafeeds. This study evalu-ated high FM replacement in juvenile Penaeus vannamei reared under biofloc technology (BFT), integrating in vitro protein digestibility, growth performance, nutrient utilization and microbiome analyses. Six isoproteic and isolipidic diets combined two FM levels (0% and 7.5%) with animal (A), plant (P), or mixed (AP) protein sources, plus a 15% FM control diet were assayed. Plant based diets showed higher in vitro protein digestibility and amino acid release than animal based diets. However, these differences were not reflected in shrimp growth, as final body weight, SGR and survival were similar among dietary treatments. Apparent feed conversion ratio, protein efficiency, and economic performance were improved in shrimp fed the A7.5 and AP7.5 diets, whereas complete FM replacement resulted in poorer performance. Biofloc and shrimp intestinal microbial community composition was primarily driven by temporal succession, whereas dietary protein source modulated the abundance of specific bacterial families. Biofloc and in-testinal communities shared limited taxonomic overlap at the family level, suggesting restricted microbial exchange together with strong habitat and host mediated selection. Overall, these findings indicate that a diet containing 7.5% fishmeal (FM), supplemented with either animal derived proteins or a combination of animal and plant derived pro-tein sources, represents an optimal strategy for juvenile Penaeus vannamei cultured under BFT conditions, maintaining growth performance while preserving intestinal microbial stability and health., This work was supported by the I+D+i Research Project “Optimizing Shrimp Feeding and Nutrition in Biofloc Systems (BioFlango)” (PID2020-114574RB-C21) and by a predoctoral Research Personnel Training Grant awarded to S. Ferrando-Juan (PRE2021-098367), both funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033. Additionally, J. Gomez-Aguilera contract was supported by European Union Next Generation-Plan of Conselleria d’innovacio, Universitats, Ciencia i Societat Digital of Generalitat Valenciana (INVEST/2022/434). The authors gratefully acknowledge Rubén Olivares Perona, shrimp farm technician and colleague at the Universitat Politècnica de València, for his valuable assistance during initial and final animal sampling.
