BANDASCA, BASE DE DATOS SOBRE SCARABAEIDAE

  • Lobo, Jorge M.
  • CSIC - Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN)
These data proceed from BANDASCA, a database which compiles all the available information from literature, museum and private collections, doctoral thesis, as well as other unpublished data available for the entire Iberian Peninsula (see structure in Lobo and Martín-Piera 1991). At present, it contains the information of 96 981 individuals of the 53 Iberian Scarabaeinae species. A database-record was defined as a pool of specimens of a single species with identical database field values (locality, UTM coordinates, altitude, date of capture (day/month/year), type of habitat and food resource; among others) regardless of the number of specimens; so any difference in any database field value gave rise to a new database-record. Note: this dataset was previously orphaned. It has been rescued by ① extracting it from the GBIF.org index (see GBIF Download in External Data) and ② republishing it on this IPT data hosting centre as version 1.0.

MUSEO NACIONAL DE CIENCIAS NATURALES. CSIC, MADRID: MNCN-NEMATA

  • Navas, Alfonso
  • Cobacho Arcos, Susana
Note: this dataset was previously orphaned. It has been rescued by ① extracting it from the GBIF.org index (see GBIF Download in External Data) and ② republishing it on this IPT data hosting centre as version 1.0.

  • CSIC - Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN)
The Collection of Ichthyology of the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (Spain) is the largest of the vertebrate collections in this Museum. It holds more than 300.000 specimens, many of them belonging to Spanish fauna. In the GBIF there are 200,385 individuals with taxonomic information, 171,028 individuals with information about the Country of the data sample and 168,463 individual with information about the specific locality of the data sample. The data base of the collection is under review and therefore, we expect to add more information in the future. For any specific information query write the Curator, Gema Solis; gsolis@mncn.csic.es Note: this dataset was previously orphaned. It has been rescued by ① extracting it from the GBIF.org index (see GBIF Download in External Data) and ② republishing it on this IPT data hosting centre as version 1.0.

NEOTROPICMYXO. A DATABASE OF MYXOMYCETES FROM THE NEOTROPICS

  • Lado, Carlos
This is a database of the Myxomycetes recorded from the Neotropical region. This large biogeographical region includes the continent of America, from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego (Argentina and Chile). The region has the greatest biodiversity in the World and includes several biodiversity hotspots. The database NEOTROPICMYXO was developed in 2015 and includes all the species of Myxomycete (Amoebozoa) recorded in the literature as well as the data from herbaria and other recognised collections. The information included, apart from the species name, is the up-to-date nomenclatural status, bibliographic and geographic information, and also substrate data and where the material is located. The database is currently a reference for the MYXOTROPIC Project.
