Firstly, we pay attention on how it is possible to determine their surface composition by means of electrokinetics measurements. On the other hand, we provide experimental evidences for a better understanding of the factors that determine the interactions of these nanoparticles with cells as a necessary step to guide the design of the most effective formulations. Additionally, we supply information about encapsulation efficiency of docetaxel, a potent chemotherapy drug, inside nanocapsules supporting the experimental cytotoxicity results of these nanosystems., European Union (EU)

LONG TERM STUDY OF THE SCHUMANN RESONANCE REGULAR VARIATIONS USING THE SIERRA NEVADA STATION GROUND-BASED MAGNETOMETERS. DATA
- Salinas Extremera, Alfonso|||0000-0003-0899-1702
We present the data of a study of the Schumann Resonance (SR) regular variations (March 2013 – February 2017) using the ground-based magnetometers from the Sierra Nevada station, Spain (37◦02’N, 3◦19’W). The study is based on the fitting parameters obtained by the Lorentzian fit, calculated for each 10-min interval record, namely, peak amplitudes, central frequencies, width of the resonances and the power spectrum integral for the first 3 SR modes. We consider three time-scales in the study: seasonal, monthly and daily variations. The processed data collected by the Sierra Nevada station are also made public with this work.

This "Data in brief" article was funded through Projects CGL2012-33281, CGL2012-32659, CGL2015-66835, and CGL2015-66830, Project RNM-05212 (Secretaria de Estado de I+D+I, Spain), Research Groups RNM-178 and RNM-179 (Junta de Andalucia) and FEDER funds. The research of Sosa-Montes de Oca was supported by a pre-doctoral fellowship from the Spanish Ministry, MINECO (BES-2013-064406)., A high-resolution analysis of the distribution of major and trace elements across the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary (KPgB) in the distal section of Agost (SE Spain) was performed. The KPgB sediments were drilled to recover a 22 cm-long core; the lower 5 cm corresponding to the uppermost Maastrichtian and the upper 17 cm to the lowermost Danian. The unconsolidated sediments were resin-embedded under O2-free conditions, cut and polished. Laser Ablation-Inductivity Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) analyses were conducted at 10 µm increments and a laser-beam of 80 µm. Discrete samples were taken immediately prior to the resin-embedding and analyzed by Inductivity Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). Results obtained by both analytical methods (LA-ICP-MS and ICP-OES) are presented. EL PROYECTO EUROPA: UN RETO CULTURAL
THE EUROPE PROJECT: A CULTURAL CHALLENGE
This article addresses the question as to why female migrants are more negatively affected than male migrants when confronted with unfamiliar traits in communication in the host country, but they are nevertheless more willing to adapt to the foreign style of communication. To answer this question, the different management of emotional regulation (Thayer et al. 2003) by both genders was investigated. A broad survey conducted among Spanish migrants in Germany led to the conclusion that the female migrants actually perceive the investigated traits more frequently and are also more affected by them. But, in comparison to the males, they have an increased ability to recognize and understand their emotions although they also display an increased tendency to ruminate. However, most of the women counteracted this tendency with a heightened ability to regulate their emotions through anti-rumination emotional repair strategies. According to the data, this ability seems to lead to a greater willingness to understand the views of the natives and thus possibly to being more disposed to integrate into the host society.

FABRICACIÓN E IDONEIDAD DE CALES HIDRÁULICAS NATURALES COMO AGLOMERANTE EN CONSTRUCCIÓN SOSTENIBLE Y RESTAURACIÓN (ID-CAL)
MANUFACTURE AND SUITABILITY OF NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIMES AS A BINDER IN A SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION AND RESTORATION (ID-LIME)
- Arizzi, Anna|||0000-0002-8996-0205
The significant environmental impact of Portland cement production is driving the search for more sustainable alternatives for renovation and restoration work, where compatible and reversible mortars are required. A more suitable and sustainable binder is natural hydraulic lime (NHL), obtained from the calcination of siliceous or marly limestones at temperatures of 950-1200 °C. Although European regulations mainly regulate NHL according to the mechanical strength of mortars at 28 days, there are products on the market with very different and changing behaviours over time, and this generates some discontent and uncertainty regarding their reliability in restoration work. In this context, this project has made it possible to investigate how to optimise the manufacturing process of natural hydraulic lime in order to obtain high-quality products that can be classified unequivocally for the correct use of this type of binder.In the course of this research, more than 10 lime factories were visited, the raw materials used and the final products manufactured were analysed, and all stages of the production process at each factory were compared. This study demonstrated that the NHL manufacturing process, even though it follows a similar procedure in all factories, is characterised by small variations in production (different raw materials, variable firing temperatures, different lime slaking procedures), which have a crucial influence on the final characteristics of NHL.Another aspect to highlight is the presence of only one NHL factory in Spain, with the consequence that almost all NHL is now imported. With the aim of promoting the establishment of NHL factories at local and national level, the geological availability of raw materials in the province of Granada was investigated, and a total of 56 samples of siliceous and marly-calcareous limestones were sampled and analysed, from which 10 raw materials potentially suitable for the manufacture of three types of NHL were finally selected. These were obtained experimentally in the laboratory, reproducing the industrial process on a small scale. Our results, all published in high-impact journals ranked in the first quartile of their category, demonstrate that it is possible to produce binders that are more sustainable than cement in Andalusia. Furthermore, it has been shown that it is possible to implement a more efficient production process, for example, by reducing water consumption during the slaking stage.In short, thanks to the implementation of a rigorous scientific methodology and a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach, this project has had a positive impact on architectural heritage, the construction industry and the environment., Departamento de Mineralogía y Petrología
