In this paper we introduce a new dynamic importance sampling propagation algorithm for Bayesian networks. Importance sampling is based on using an auxiliary sampling distribution from which a set of configurations of the variables in the network is drawn, and the performance of the algorithm depends on the variance of the weights associated with the simulated configurations. The basic idea of dynamic importance sampling is to use the simulation of a configuration to modify the sampling..., Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology, project Elvira II (TIC2001-2973-C05-01 and 02)

De la intimidad del ser a la tragedia de lo divino. Un intento de crítica a la interpretación heideggeriana de Hölderlin, From the intimacy of being to the tragedy of the divine. An attempt to criticize Hölderlin’s Heideggerian interpretation

Repositorio: Digibug.

This essay aims to critically analyze Heidegger’s interpretation of Hölderlin’s work when he establishes various parallelisms between the Being and the Divine. Two claims are hold in this regard. First, that –in Heidegger’s favor– an analogy can be established between the ontic-ontological difference and the differential character of the divine; secondly, that the “eccentric” and tragic elements of the latter implode –against Heidegger– the “centric” intimacy of being.

Extended superscaling with two-particle emission in electron and neutrino scattering

Repositorio: Digibug. Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Granada

The phase space of two-particle emission (2p2h) is multiplied by a q-dependent parameter that has been fitted to describe the tail behavior of the scaling function. This approach allows for an alternative description of..., MCIN/AEI/10.13039/ 501100011033: PID2020–114767GB-I00, FEDER/Junta de Andalucía-Consejería de Transformación Económica, Industria, Conocimiento y Universidades/A-FQM-390-UGR20, Junta de Andalucía FQM-225

Background Some parasites use olfactory cues to detect their hosts and, since bacterial symbionts are partially responsible for animal odours, they could influence host parasitism. By autoclaving nest materials of hoopoe (Upupa epops) nests before reproduction started, we explored the hypothetical links between host-associated bacteria, volatiles and parasitism. During the nestling stage, we (i) estimated the level of ectoparasitism by chewing lice (Suborder Mallophaga) in adult hoopoe females..., Open Access funding provided thanks to the CRUE-CSIC agreement with Springer Nature, Projects CGL2017- 83103-P, PID2020-117429 GB-C21 and PID2020-117429 GB-C22, funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación/Agencia Estatal de Investigación, “Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional, a way of making Europe”, JMPS enjoined a Ramon y Cajal scholarship (RYC2022-036147-I) funded by Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades (MCIN/AEI/https://doi.org/10.13039/501100011033)
